AEW Collision 4-17-25 - Spring Breakthru

 

Well, this is far less of a killer lineup - but still solid. Archer vs. Kevin Knight looks like it should be fire. Tony and Nigel are here and Tony sounds underwater. And ditto Nigel. Owen tourney recap from last night alongside the rest of the show. Marina beats up a Renegade and they all beat up some crew before Mox challenges Joe. Archer jumps Knight and a big shortarm lariat hist! Fantastic David vs. Goliath affair here and a flash cradle gives Knight 2 alongside a dropkick out of a chokeslam and a flip out of the blackout! Avalanche flash rana to Archer! UFO SPLASH HITS FOR 2! DIVING LARIAT TO THE FLOOR AND ANOTHER SPRINGBOARD ONE MID-RING TO WIN IT!

Alexander and Takeshita vs. Romero and Ishii is up and we need Alexander vs. Ishii ASAP. Rocky avoids a save and Ishii drops the fall. AND TRENT IS BACK RPG VICE IS BACK! THE DCF GAINS 2 MORE! MERCEDES TALKS TO MINI MONE - a thing that you cannot buy for some reason. Bayne destroys Ashley Vox and someone else quickly. Triple powerbomb and an F5 wins it. BOW DOWN is her 5 count - I love it. CLAUDIO IS HERE LOOKING BADASS TO FACE COLE and he tosses a chair and nails Nigel's leg and then Claudio just hurks him onto the LED board and Cole takes a nasty bump.

Claudio chucks him into the crowd from the floor! Ushiguroshi after a superkick gets 2 for Cole, somehow. GIANT SWING BY CLAUDIO GETS 2! Corner uppercuts to Cole! AND ANOTHER! AND BACK ELBOWS! Avalanche superplex hits, but a cocky cover leads to a crucifix and a flash win! Tremendous - probably Cole's best AEW match since his first MJF one in DC. Claudio destroys the announce desk. Backstage, Bill and Keith are together with Lexi and Bill says he's disappointed in Chris and Bill looks 70 feet tall with Keith. 

LFI is out and they destroy Kevin Matthews. Nick Wayne vs. Komander is up and Wayne has a bad shoulder and eats a crazy springboard destroyer after a 619 counters the Wayne's World and a giant dive hits. ROPEWALK SSP IS AVOIDED! THE STERNESS DUST/PRODIGYPLEX HITS FOR THE WIN AND NICK WAYNE IS ROH TV CHAMPION! Toni is out for commentary for Julia and Kris vs. Harley and Mercedes. JULIA BULLIES THE PUPPET and Harley eats a deadlift suplex after trying a schoolgirl on THOSE THIGHS. Julia does a scaredy Old School  KRIS SUPLEXES THEM THREE TIMES and Toni lusts after her. Kris wins it and Toni is smitten by Kris.

AEW Dynamite 4-16-25 - Spring Breakthru

Dynamite celebrates beating Nitro's episode count tonight with Ospreay vs. Takeshita on free TV! They're in Boston, so Mercedes vs. Athena opens. HOOK is out of the trios tag title match now - so I guess he was pretty ill. Tieup to the floor to start and corner knees get 1 for Mone. La mistica into the crossface by Mone but Athena goes to the floor and Mone keeps it on! THREE AMIGOS but an Athena double powerbomb and now a trifecta! Fallen Goddess/CEO chant breaks out and this is all-action! As a straight match, this may be the best women's match in AEW history! Apron teep kick by Athena and then an APRON POWERSLAM! 

Athena misses a barricade charge and bonks it. AN O'CONNOR ROLL WINS IT FOR MERCEDES! This match was unreal! Toni is out to set that up for ALL IN Texas even with the finals still to go - good move. Make people think about the match early. The Bucks quote the Bible and they suck up with the Death Riders issue. Okada tells him to smile BITCH! Hanger vs. Wild Card is up. AND THE WILD CARD IS JOSH ALEXANDER!

Josh chops him up in the corner before an apron stun gun before Hangman HITS A DRAPING BARRICADE LARIAT! Release German gets 2 for Josh. If Hanger wins, it sets up Fletcher vs. Hangman, which could set up a whole summer of Hanger vs. the DCF! APRON WORLDS STRONGEST SLAM BY JOSH and then a basement crossbody to the back! FLASH CRADLE WINS IT FOR HANGER! Hanger and Fletcher brawl and I can easily see Hanger losing and giving Fletcher a big win. C4 spike hits alongside a sheer drop brainbuster from Fletcher!

Patriarchy is here and Christian says DADDY'S HOME, NICK! Nick tells him that he was afraid to cash-in because Cope could win the World title before him! Nick Wayne faces Komander tomorrow night for the ROH TV Title and I like that title being used to further things. FTR-Cope video. Hurt Syndicate vs. Gates of Agony is up and that should be a fun MEAT MATCH! Shelton DDTs Toa, who has the titties. Bishop joins him for a clubbering! Lashley hits a snap flatliner and this dude in nearing 50 and just doesn't age at all. Bishop gets sent to suplex city by Shelton! BLINDSIDE SPEAR TO TOA ON THE FLOOR! Mid-ring spear wins it - this ruled! 

MJF is out and kisses ass and he brings out babes for them. Shelton says he needs more TIME and wants his watch. AND IT'S STILL A NO! MJF says he's growing on Shelton and as a token to him, he's got the watch. MJF says he'll win him over down the road - ditto Lashley, who he needs to win over. Ospreay vs. Takeshita is hyped up and it is next! MVP is backstage with them and tells them it's just business with MJF and Lashley is making it personal. Ospreay vs. Takeshita is up! STORMBREAKER COUNTERED INTO A GERMAN AND A BRIDGE OVER IT FOR 2.9! PAIR OF BIG BOOTS BY OSPREAY AND TAKESHITA CATCHES A FOOT AND FOREARMS HIM! Raging fire meets a hook kick AND A HIDDEN BLADE IS MET WITH A DROPKICK, ELBOW SHOT AND A BLUE THUNDER BOMB FOR 2.9! HIDDEN BLADE GETS 1! MASSIVE LARIAT FROM TAKESHITA! Ospreay hits the wheelbarrow driver and TAKESHITA GETS A DESPERATION HIDDEN BLADE!

THEY GET UP AT 9.5! TURNBUCKLE RISING HEADBUTT FROM OSPREAY! AVALANCHE LARIAT HITS BUT OSPREAY FLIPS OUT AND HITS A HIDDEN BLADE FOR 2.9! Elbow Pad is down for Ospreay and a KNEE HITS FOR TAKESHITA! Raging fire is turned into the Styles clash for 2.9! BACKSLIDE AND A RISING KNEE HIT FOR TAKESHITA! STORMBREAKER HITS TO WIN IT! THIS RULED! This was probably the best Dynamite match since Omega vs. Danielson! Well I need a smoke after that one. Goddamn what an incredible match! Best Dynamite match since Omega vs. Danielson!

Super-cool intro with the Death Riders coming through the building and HOBBS IS WITH THE OPPS HERE! SHAFIR CLIPS HOBBS! Mox gets a chair and Willow takes it away and Joe boots him and IT'S SPINEBUSTER TIME BY HOBBS! Bucks are out AND SWERVE ATTACKS THE BUCKS! SLEEPER, PK AND RNC ON THE RAMP! URANAGE TO YUTA ON THE DESK! LARIAT BY WILLOW TO TAKE OUT MARINA! COQUINA CLUTCH WINS IT! 

What a cool show-closing moment with everyone celebrating - this almost felt like Luger winning the WCW Title before Hog Wild.

WWE Raw 4-14-25 - WM Go-Home Show

 It's the final Raw before WM! We get ARRIVALS before a clip show of Raw. Gunther-Jey recap and Gunther's out for a Cole interview. Liv is out to face Bayley and we get a recap with Bianca in this for some reason. Liv hits three amigos on the floor, but the third is blocked by Bayley. SUPLEX OFF THE STEPS BY LIV! JACKKNIFE PIN BY BAYLEY WINS IT and she grapevined the legs too. Punk Seth Roman video. Rey vs. Julius is up and Gable's interference leads to a loss with the drop of the dime. FLYING LOADED FOREHEAD SHOT from Gable! War Raiders video hypes them up for being global champs.

AJ vs. Kross is up and Kross is in tights MADE BY AJ'S GEAR MAKER to make him go back to his evil ways. Kross gets a DVD but eats the forearm to end it. Logan's out and talks shit and a hype video airs. Loaded punch and the Paulverizer hit! Putting the nothing in nothing promo there - wow not a great final bit for Jey. Judgment Day beats up Bron and PENTA NOW HAS A BRANDED MOUTHGUARD! Penta vs. Balor is up and Balor gets 2 off a superplex. Superkick and a pop-up backstabber by Penta! AVALANCHE INVERTED SLINGBLADE and a tilt a whirl backbreaker by Penta and Breakker whoops ass. 

Heyman and Punk chat before Roman arrives in a big SUV. Roman and Heyman spend a trillion years building to Roman finally talking to Heyman. Heyman gets a YOU FUCKED UP chant that they don't bother with muting for a while before finally do. They yammer and Roman brawls with Seth and Roman pie-faces Heyman before Punk comes out and eats a spear. SETH WITH A CHAIRSHOT TO THE BACK AGAIN. Seth hits stomps to his rivals and that's it. Well it was a show.

AEW Collision 4-12-25

 

Three women's matches and three Owen matches are on tap and Pac is out and Mox is now one-third of the trios champions as well to replace Pac. FTR is out and "Darkside of FTR" is a great theme name for heels. FTR talks about why they turned on Cope because he was selfish and Dax calls in Tony and Nigel tells him to stay and Tony says hey, you guys were wrong! Tony has been on Turner stations about as long as both members of FTR have lived on the Earth and he looks younger than both of them. They go to spike piledriver him and Nigel saves! DG comes in and gets shoved down before hugging Tony. Toni cuts a promo on the OH Foundation tourney and it's time for Hayer and Starkz.

Forearm shivers by Billie but a spinebuster gets 2 for Jamie before Billie ties her up on the mat. Ushiguroshi and BASEMENT Hayterade hit AND GET 2! Run-up Hayterade is met with a backslide for 2 and then a brainbuster on the knee for 2. STARKZ SWANTON GETS 2! Billie yells that SHE AIN'T SHIT and fights on the apron! APRON SUPLEX is good for 9.5 on the floor! English Curse backbreaker and the Hayterade win it! Gates of Agony win a squash. Bowens beats Blake Christian quickly with the molly whop. Bayne squashes 2 women quickly with an F5. Fox vs. Knight is up and rules! Soarinng springboard lariat wins it for Knight!

FTR vs. Daddy Magic and Ange is up and it's a quick beating until The Paragon saves. Harley loses a quick one to Athena.  Takeshita is shown beating Tana at Windy City Riot before facing Brody King! A Brody senton misses, but a Takeshita second rope one hits! Brody knocks the fuck out of him with a stiff chop! BLUE THUNDER BOMB TO BRODY KING FOR 2! BURNING LARIAT GETS 2! Rikishi driver gets 2 for King! Brody eats the inverted driver and the German and a lariatoooo gets 2.9! PAIR OF RUNNING KNEES OUT OF THE CORNER GETS 2.9! Kneepad is down and 2 KNEE SHOTST WIN IT! THIS RULED!  

AEW Dynamite 4-9-25

 

Mox says that they beat everyone and they roll down the hill and no one WANTS IT. Mox vs. Shibata opens the show up. Pumbling to start mid-ring and THEY CHOP and Mox boots him in the jaw. Shibata eats a piledriver,, pops up and PKs him! Eye thumb and the death rider end it and the Bucks are out. Mox and Marina leave and they say they love Hangman. The Bucks say they agree with  Mox  they want to make it the best company and they want them to chat before OMEGA IS OUT! He's mad about  the stretcher attack and well, he should be. He actually forgave them and he shouldn't have. 

Kenny talks about the Bucks losing their way and making life hard for the roster and they were shredding documents - they were writing off "business expenses" and Okada is out and now Swerve! Swerve says it's BUCK-HUNTING SEASSON! PAC JUMPS SWERVE! Buckle bomb to Pac and an apron s stomp by Swerve! Pac goes out and it looks like his ankle is messed up. Pump kick and swerve stomp end it - so hopefully he's not hurt too badly. 

WACKY 8-MAN TAG FOR 400K IS UP! RICOCHET IS THE CAPTAIN NOW AHAAA! The babyfaces are going to buy silly crap while Mark is going to diversify his portfolio. WACKY HARLEY AND MERCEDES BIT and Nana tells Hangman that he regrets what happened and Hangman tells him he doesn't get that. Ricochet cowers and Bailey ranas Mortos! Ospreay vs. Rush is up and then Ricochet is in and eats a FLOATING STINGER SPLASH by Knight. Bailey hits a slew of round kicks to Mortos! Tombstone lungblower to Bailey by Mortos! 

Pop up Samoan drop by Mortos and Knight counters a powerbomb into a DDT! Running torture rack neckbreaker by Action before a powerbomb into a FLOATING DVD BY RICOCHET! OSCUTTER TO MORTOS! UFO SPLASH HITS AND WINS...NO 2.9 THANKS TO RICOCHET! HIDDEN BLADE WINS IT THIS MATCH RULED! Rated FTR attack is shown and they say Cope is done while Tony says it's the worst thing he's seen. FTR is going to threaten Tony in Mid-Atlantic territory one day and it's going to be great. Hurt Syndicate is out and they recap the ring shot from MJF and it's toast time before MJF IS OUT. 

He says WE HURT PEOPLE and you're welcome BTW and TK wanted him in the Owen BUT NAH MD HE DOESN'T DO THAT! To join, you need three thumbs up and Shelton gives him one down and they leave. Megan Bayne looking 200 feet tall threatens to destroy someone on Collision. TIMELESS TONI is here and steals Taz's keys and says she left her chewing tobacco in it. Rosa vs. Kris is up  Toni says a team with her and Kris would be Thunder Thighs and with Tony, it'd just be Tits. Stat hits an armdrag and shotgun dropkick before a basement dropkick by Rosa on the ropes. Apron crotch dive and Toni's finish is The Big Package. Blue thunder bomb by KRIS GETS 2! destroyer gets 2 for Rosa! Sliding kne by Rosa gets 2! Rising lariat and the fever win it for Stat! Mercedes winning the Owen to get YET ANOTHER BELT is great stuff. Callis hypes up a Proto-Shita final. The Family has injuries and if anyone wants in, give him your account number.

Cole says success is also defined by failure and now he is THE FACE OF TNT! Jericho is out and he buries Bandido's family before bringing his "family" out. Bill says he didn't join to be his punching bag and Jericho said he picked them and he blames Bill for the loss. He's not angry, he's just disappointed and bats the TV and says it's time to leave. THE FIVE TOOL PLAYER hype video is aired and MJF is told off by MVP because of his past and Jericho bats some stuff and leaves. HOOK DOES JOE'S NOPE SPOT TO YUTA! Claudio double stomp to Hook on the apron! 

STEAMROLLER UPPERCUT BY CLAUDIO TO HOOK and a powerbomb Hart Attack gets 2.9! Mox is out and Yuta eye gouges before Shibata takes a chair from Mox. REDRUM MID-RING AND THE CLUTCH ON THE FLOOR WINS IT! RNC BY SHIBATA ON MOX! Marina chairshots Joe's knee AND A NEUTRALIZER ON A CHAIR TO HOOK! Joe calls them all cowardly sons of bitches and they came to fight! They want the trios titles - so I guess Pac is okay or they'll just sub hm.

Gunther and Penta arrive and we get a Bianca recap from last week. Pearce does a Vince impression for WELCOME TO MONDAY NIGHT RAW and he's got the Women's World title. Iyo beats them up and Balor chats with the crew about Dom winning the IC Title at WM and Balor wants it too. Carlito chats about shopping and Bayley goes for the IC Title tonight. They get no intros during the body of the show as they're used for the ad break. Lyra gets a rocking horse on Bayley and a seatbelt cradle gets 2. Lyra wins off a jackknife cradle. American Made faces the LWO and A TRIO OF STEREO SUPERPLEXES HIT! Loaded mask headbutt and diving headbutt win it.

Jey cuts a money promo on Gunther about unleashing a BIBLICAL ASS WHOOPING cuz he's gonna pray to God to forgive him for what he does. Rhea and Steph do goofy stuff on her show and Rey vs. Grande is made for WM. Chairshot DQ for the New Day. Cool Cody video set to "Last of My Kind" PENTA is here! Corner gamenguri by Penta and the handstand hardyac arrest gets 2. DQ time thanks to Carly and Bron beats up everyone. ROMAN HAS HEADLINED MORE MANIAS THAN ANYONE - still doesn't hold a candle to what Hogan actually did. Heyman chat time and he says he's always loyal to Roman and Seth says he feels bad for him because he's in a tough spot. Seth treats him like shit and slaps him around and he's had enough of this shit and Punk brawls with Seth. Seth stomps Punk and a fan yells DO IT AGAIN! HE ALMOST STOMPS HEYMAN but HEYMAN AVOIDS! 

AEW Dynamite 4-2-25 Swerve and Mox Mixed Tag

 Ex. Taz and Tony are on the call and the mixed tornado tag is up! Walk and brawl to start before Marina works on Swerve with a top rope back rake. TOWER OF DOOM TO SWERVE BY WILLOW! CANNONBALL TO MOX BY WILLOW! Kirafuda clutch by Mox! WILLOW POWERBOMBS MARINA ONTO MOX TO BREAK IT UP! HOUSE CALL TO MARINA AND THE DOCTOR BOMB WINS IT! This was a riot! Mox hits dirty deeds on Willow! Dax pays his fine DIRECTLY to Paul Turner to treat the family. 

The Owen brackets! Kevin Knight replaces Jay White, so he can lose in round 1 to Ospreay. They team up tonight! Toni vs. Ford is up and Toni misses the hip attack and eats a dropkick. Toni bites her lip and gets an STF. Gut check hits for Ford and gets 2. Storm Zero wins it! Renee chats about Willow to Swerve and he offers nothing beyond saying she's brave. Swerve will take out Mox again tonight. Hurt Syndicate is out AND THEY HURT PEOPLE! Shelton couldn't get in due to weather. MJF wishes him well and Lashley tells him he doesn't like or trust him and they don't need shit from him. Bill and Keith are out and beat up jobbers after throwing chairs at the Syndicate. Bill throws a dude in front of them on the floor 

Mercedes faces Julia on Sunday and HARLEY TEAMS WITH HER ON SATURDAY! AND MINI MONE IS BACK! Ospreay and  Knight face Blake Christian and Shotty Lee Johnson. Dueling flip dives from the faces! Ospreay hits a corkscrew kick for 2 on Blake. Springboard pumping lariat wins it for Knight! AND THEY'RE FACING OFF AT DYNASTY! Opps chat about needing a group because one took him out. Brody King vs. Archy is up in meat warfare! Don cusses out a cosplayer before a MEATY FOREARM EXCHANGE! Callis distracts Brody and Archer gets a boot amid a "fuck Don Callis" chant. CANNONBALL TO ARCHER AND HE FLATTENED HIM! 

Dynasty is run down and that is going to rule! Cope is out in his black and neon green gear to face Claudio and he gets the long song treatment by the fans - I love that. Tons of shortarm lariats by Claudio after an LED board throw by Claudio. SPEAR THROUGH THE ROPES BY COPE! Tag title match is official for the PPV. Avalanche bulldog by Cope! Seated double stomp to Cope! SWING TIME! IMPALER HITS FOR  2! Cope crossface is on but Claudio gets the ropes. CRU faces Top Flight on Saturday and Cope eats an apron powerslam! He throws him over the barricade to try a countout win. Claudio lariat gets 2! Cope boot hits! Pop-uppercut gets 2 and the neutralizer gets 2.9! Cope ballshots him and a spear wins it! Easily a 4 star TV match there. 

Backstage, Renee chats about Renee and Swerve wants Mox. Hangman tells him he's wasting his time going for Mox and he promises he'll never hold the title. Swerve says I KNOW to him deserving to get his house being burned down. Mox and Pac jump Swerve and throw him through a glass table. They take him to the ring to destroy him and set out glass mid-ring! Claudio powerbombs him INTO THE GLASS!
