NJPW Invasion Attack 2015

I've got NJPW World going through my laptop now and hooked up to my capture card through HDMI, so this is a far better option than using the Fire TV Stick. I kind of wish I'd always done this since, but whatever. Video quality is damn near perfect other than occasional buffering. The opening 10 man tag is up. Shelley, KUSHIDA, Captain NJPW, Nagata, and Komatsu face Liger, Tiger Mask, Taguchi, Nakanishi, and Tanaka. Captain's blue camo gear is great. Nakanishi hits a slow lariat to take Nagata down for 2. Natata counters the rack into a German attempt and then THE CRAZY EYE ARMBAR! Funky Weapon comes in to literally get his ass kicked. Liger and KUSHIDA speed things up with a surfboard and dragon sleeper. KUSHIDA springboard elbow to Liger and Tiger. Captain misses a shoulder dive to Taguchi by several miles. CAPTAIN HITS THE SHOULDER BLOCK ON Komatsu!

Tanaka avoids some attacks by the Splitters, but Taguchi runs in for ass attacks that miss. Schwein to Tanaka hits for Shelley and gets the win. Tencozy and Honma face the Bullet Club B-Team of Takahashi, Cody, and Tama Tonga. CODY HAS ORIGINAL GEAR! HONMA HEADBUTTS TO TONGA! Headbutt to Hall, but Tenzan has enough of that shit before Takahashi comes in and eats a Calf Branding. Tonga comes in and chokes away. Takahashi comes in to cockily kick away. KOJIMA COMES IN AND CHOPS AND CHOPS AND CHOPS! Corner elbow! Goddamn do I loves me some Kojima - I really should watch more of his older stuff on this service. FOREARMS! Yup - definitely need to do that and play more in FPR with him. Takahashi bites his way out of a cutter and hits a fisherman's buster. Spinning lariat from Hall hits and gets 2. God, he's tall! 3D to Cody! HOMA DIVING HEADBUTT GETS THE WIN! Takahashi leaves with his five star piece of ass.

IWGP Jr Tag Team title match is up - RPG Vice vs. the Young Bucks. Barreta and Nick start this off - I cannot tell the Bucks apart unless they're head on. Nick's the smarmier-looking motherfucker, and eats a chop off a "suck it" bit. Trent runs back and forth before hopping in...for a face rake. Romero kick sets up a Trentsault for 2. I love RPG Vice trolling them. Great bit with the Bucks teasing a countout, HITTING A SUPERKICK AND THEN LEADING TO A 19 COUNT! Oh my God, that was amazing!

Back rake to Trent in the corner. Now back to the greatness of that countout tease. They took a spot that hasn't been treated seriously in eons and not only brought it back, but put a brand-new spin on it. They're the modern-day Midnight Express. Further proof is when one Buck drags hte other back to their corner to make the legal tag. RUNNING SUCKITSUCKITSUCKITSUCKITSUCKIT LARIAT IN THE CORNER! Buck bridge swanton gets 2.5. IndyTaker is avoided with a kick and Romero tosses one Buck into the corner, but a rana is met with a superkick AND INDYTAKER FOR 2. SUPERKICK PARTY TO TRENT! More Bang is avoided and a bllind tag is made. TRENT DRIVER IS ASSISTED FOR THE WIN! Big upset! RAPONGI VICE!

Jr Heavyweight Title match is up with Omaga facing Dorada. Dorada's out first, followed by The Cleaner. Tumbling routine starts. Headscissors takes Omaga out and then a suicide dive hits. Omega chucks him into the barricade and powerbombs him down and DOES THE LA PARK DANCE! Mid-ring camel clutch, but Dorada makes it to the ropes. Big Omega backbreaker hits for 2! Chops follow from the champ, but he eats some as well. Omega teases a chop and gets an eye poke and is called a DIRTY FIGHTER for it. Finlay roll hits perfectly and leads to a running SSP that misses. Seamless pop up into a Bulldog powerslam setup, but Dorada gets a tornado DDT! Run up into a dropkick to the chest for Dorada. Omega gets a forearm on the apron, BUT EATS A RUNNING RANA OVER THE TOP! HOLY GIF! Tilt a whirl into a stretch muffler is turned into a crucifix for 2. The spinning Argentine backbreaker hits for 2. Dorada sunset gets 2. Overhand chop from Dorada hits and gets another 2 off a sunset flip. With how stiff Pentagon Jr is, he'd be so great in New Japan. ROPE WALK RANA FROM DORADA GETS 2!

Ropewalk moonsault gets 2 and he yells BULLSHIT, leading to an Omega German for 2. Omega goes for his Electric Chair buster, but it's countered. Second one hits for the win! Omega cuts a promo on the old guys, and he says he is the master of the darkened custodial arts. He's beaten Japanese garbage, Mexican garbage, and now it's time to take out MOTOR CITY GARBAGE! YES! We're getting Shelley-Kenny! IWGP Tag Team Title match is up with Taven and Bennett against the Bullet Club. Fantastic ass shots for Maria, who made this team a babyface instantly. Doc now has a total NWO-style logo on his singlet.

Collar and elbow starts things off. Then they get distracted by Maria's ass, the heels try to trap her outside, so she runs in and Bennet makes the save. Doc runs wild with punches and a snap suplex before calling Maria and bitch and getting 2. Bennet gets a missile dropkick for a hope spot, but Karl tags in and eats soke kicks from Taven. TWIST OF FATE FROM BENNETT, and a swanton gets 2. Bennet accidentally spears Taven and eats a pump kick from Doc. Corner attacks hit Bennett as does a backdrop>neckbreaker for 2. Pumphandle neckbreaker hits for 2 for Karl. Taven crossbody sends he and Doc over the top, but Karl gets 2 off of something. Maria seduces Karl and is ADORABLE, and sets up a comeback with a superkick, spear, and Taker dive. SPRINGBOARD SPIKE PILEDRIVER GETS THE WIN AND THE BELTS!

G1 Climax rundown - Alberto is doing it. Card rundown for the intermission. Okada DVD ad - this thing looks hilarious. I'm pretty sure that Fale vs. Okada is next. Nope, it's Makabe, Goto, and Naito against Nakamura, Ishii, and YOSHI-HASHI! Nice intros here - with HASHI looking really major league. Goto and Nak go at it. Corner foot vibration. MAKABE-ISHII MIDRING FOREARMS AND CHOPS AND HEABUTTS AND CHOPS AND FOREARMS! Great Ishii-Naito exchange leads to MORE FIGHTING FROM ISHII AND MAKABE! Ishii chain shot on the floor to Makabe. Ishii tags in Naito to attack in the corner. HASHI comes in and chops away.

Naito fights out of a powerbomb and avoids a suplex with a back elbow before eating a chop. Jumping elbow hits perfectly. Makabe and Ishii RESUMED ATTACKING EACH OTHER. Angels sing when Makabe and Ishii go to war. Ishii is NOT AMUSED AT ALL by Makabe's lariats, so he must respond in kind, but he eats a big lariat and goes down. Kneeling powerbomb gets 2 for Makabe. Corner forearms fire Ishii up. Nakamura comes in with a pop-up kick.

Goto comes in with some strikes. Goto lariat and spin kick combos. Mid-ring forearm exchange between Nakamura and Goto. Bom-a-ye is avoided thanks to Naito's dropkick and Makabe gets a one-man double clothesline. Running calf kick from Nakamura to Goto. Running knee misses, but a flying bom-a-ye hits! Samoan driver over the knee hits for Goto! Saito suplex gets 2. Goto slap out of a Hashi close call. Big slap hits Nakamura before the Shouten Kai gets the win! NICE! New IC Title program is set! ISHII AND MAKABE RESUME THE ATTACK, but Naito and young boys break it up. This was a super-fun match.

Tanahashi and Shibata team up against Yano and Sakuraba. YANO IS GOING TO GET WATER ON THAT DVD! Love Yano running from Tanahashi. Saku and Shibata roll aroudn for a bit in a legbar.
Shibata rocking the chest hair works for him. You know what's so great about guys simulating MMA instead of actually doing it? They can do it damn near forever, make money off the MMA run, and then extend a pro wrestling career with a largely bump-free style. They're getting minutes out of just teasing strikes. Saku kick is captured, but Tana tags i before a suplex hits and we get a clean break. Snapmare into a kneedrop from Tana to Saku. YANO TOSSES TANA INTO THE BARRICADE!

Saku kicks his chest in and gets a leaping double stomp to...the air above his head. Yano comes in and stomps away. Toss into The exposed buckle hurts hte Ace. Shibata tries a save, but goes flying into it too. Tana's back goes in again while Shibata's back hits the barricade. Tana gets some elbows and punches to Yano. HAIR GRAB, but Tana gets a slap. SCHOOLBOY GETS A 2.9! Flying forearm comeback for Tana. Young girls go crazy and Yano gets a hair pull. While congratulating himself by pointing to his genius-like head, HE GETS HIS HAIR PULLED AND GOES DOWN!

Shibata runs wild with strieks in the corner to Saku. Shibata, plz don't kill old man Saku. kthx. He pulls his rash guard over his head AND HITS A BASEMENT KICK AND A FIGURE FOUR! SAKU REVERSES WITH THE RASH GUARD OVER HIS HEAD! AWESOME! Back and foth sleepers  lead to a Tana save. Shibata gets the ropes. Snap fireman's carry into a Kimura by Saku gets the win! This was a blast!

The fall of Okada since Wrestle Kingdom 9 is chronicled, so Okada-Fale should be next. Okada's headstrong, but gets taken down. He does get the Underboss down though. Big shoulder charge by Fale. Another one on the floor. Without the blonde hair, he reminds me of a Samoan version of NOD Kama Mustafa. Tonga attacks Gado on the floor. Yet another 18 count spot here. A LONG NERVE HOLD is not what I want at 5:52 AM.

Thankfully, that ends and we get more mid-ring forearms and a BIG BOOT EXCHANGE! Okada sends him to the floor with a lariat. They fight on the floor and Okada sends him into the crowd and goes for a dive, but he's caught. Snake Eyes are teased, but he gets a lariat over the barricade. This is some gorgeous gear for Okada - very easy to remake in a game relative to his other stuff. DDT>nip up from Okada.

HO TRAIN FROM THE SAMOAN GODFATHER leads to a big splash and 2. Asiatic spike is countered with a European uppercut. Snake Eyes countered and Okada gets a big slam! Flying BOYA TOYA ELBOW! Spike countered into a corner attack. Back Luck Fall countered into the over the knee neckbreaker! Tombstone attempt, but Fale is just too fat!

Big boot from Okada is countered with a spear! 2.5! Top rope falling sofa splash from Fale gets 2. FALL AVOIDED! BIG DROPKICK TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! Rainmaker countered into hte spike, German suplex gets 2. DROPKICK AFTER ELBOWS! SLOW, STRUGGLING TOMBSTONE LEADS TO THE RAINMAKER AND THE WIN!

Great hype video shows off the rise of Ibushi over the past year as well as AJ's path of title-based destruction. They can really do something special here having Ibushi win - and they've got a built in deal with Nakamura going for the title since he beat Ibushi at WK 9. We start off with a stalemate in the corner and a clean break from AJ. Quick back and forth leads to AJ getting a minor lead and telling Ibushi he's not ready.

Again, if he is - then the win means that much more. If he loses, well, he isn't ready now, but win be. Drop toeholds send AJ down leading to a "motherfucker!" Headscissor exchange leads to a backslide for 1 and a small package for 1. AJ gets a jackknife and then flips right into THE MOVE OF DEATH, but Ibushi counters that into a cradle for 2. AJ is now pissed and more prone to making a mistake. Back and forth kick grab leads to an eye rake from AJ and a big elbow from Ibushi before Ibushi gets a PK! AJ DROPKICK HITS! Triangle dive from Ibushi is countered into an attack by AJ. Ibushi gets a triangle moonsault, but lands on his feet and eats a RELEASE GERMAN ON THE FLOOR WITH AN OVERHEAD LANDING! 19.5! AJ gets his flying knee, but doesn't cover.
AJ kicks away and gets a tilt a whirl backbreaker. Ibushi avoids the Bloody Sunday with elbows. Dropdown>Dropkick by AJ. AJ talks shit on the floor, tells him he'll never have the belt, and then Snake Eyes's him right on the railing next to it. Once again, any finish here is the right one. AJ being too cocky fits the story here and can be used as the root for a future face turn. Ibushi winning cements him as the top rising star of 2015 with a lot of momentum, while Nakamura has a valid gribe. Muta lock by AJ leads to a basic Indian deathlock with a snap. AJ grinds away with a chinlock.

AJ dominates and goes for the flying standing elbow, but Ibushi kicks him to the floor! BIG kicks from Ibushi send AJ down while a standing moonsault gets 2. AJ gets a kneebreaker and starts working on the leg on the mat. Ibushi lands a kick and gets the triangle moonsault on the floor...barely. SPRINGBOARD DROPKICK FROM IBUSHI! AJ counters with a corner kick, but eats a powerslam and a Lionsault for 2.5! Straightjacket German gets 2! Ibushi goes for a superplex, but it's countered perfectly. Love AJ using the unique structure of the buckle pad to kick off of it and hit a suplex into a corner. SEAMLESS MOONSAULT DDT HITS FOR 2.5! That was the best Phenomenal DDT he's ever hit! Back and forth strike exchange leads to DUELING PELES, WON BY IBUSHI!

Ibushi goes for the apron to ring German, but it's countered. DIVING ELBOW HITS FOR AJ! Back suplex to facebuster hits for AJ and gets 2! BRAINBUSTER from AJ! Gun to the head sets up the Clash, but Ibushi kicks his way out. AJ gets the calf killer! Ibushi rolls out, but it's locked back in! Ibushi gets the ropes for a save.

AJ tells him he should've given up. Ibushi clutches the leg and no doubt feels that same way to soem degree, but AJ gets cocky and eats a series of jumping knees that couldn't have been hit if he wasn't holding Ibushi up to mock him. Big lariat hits for AJ! They go up top, but AJ GOES FOR A SUPER CLASH that Ibushi counters. POP UP RANA FROM IBUSHI HITS FOR 2.5! We get a crowd pan and they're beyond hyped! AJ gets out of the falling Last Ride, but eats a big lariat! Falling powerbomb hits for 2! Ibushi goes up for the Phoenix Splash, but Kenny distracts him. PHOENIX SPLASH INTO A RANA IS COUNTERED INTO THE CLASH! HOLY SHIT THIS WAS AMAZING!

AJ celebrates with the Club. OKADA COMING BACK TO GET WHAT WAS STOLEN FROM HIM! This is so perfect - the pre-match video showed AJ taking the title from Okada one year ago, and now, Okada is back for his title. One year ago, AJ took Okada's title - and now Okada has his confidence back and is ready to take the title back and claim his true title as the Ace of New Japan. This was just brilliant!

TNA Impact Wrestling 4-3-15

The pre-show hype videos say that TONIGHT EY AND ROODE FINALLY FACE OFF. They've had TWO POSSIBLE BLOWOFF MATCHES in under three months. Unlocked is now on after the 11 PM replay, putting it on at 1 AM EST - yikes. We get quick recaps of the feuds alongside a new silly hand-drawn artwork version of a versus screen. Josh has a red sweater on and the Roode-EY match starts things off.

EY is going to write the last sad story in Roode's sad, pathetic career...okay then. Josh has the balls to say that EY-Roode is on par with Mayweather-Pacquio. Christ. TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION BELL-TO-BELL BEGINS WITH TALKING! They go back and forth about this and EY makes it a submission match...um, that was announced before the show. Josh talks about the website video where the ref said that he'll allow things to go on the floor, but in the ring, rope breaks count. Josh points out that they've now had THREE matches, so there's one that I'm forgetting. Yikes. And then Josh says the ref told him that they need to get the action in the ring to get the win - SO THEN WHAT'S HE GOING TO ALLOW ON THE FLOOR!? Taz talks about EY having a new brace on his calf ala the Hammer Jammer.

We come back to Roode getting the mounted punches, and since he's not Dolph Ziggler, he gives the fans a chance to chant. EY tosses him down and gets a kneebar. Taz says that EY's always been a nuts, and he gets a knee breaker on the floor. EY gets an arm-based version of a figure four on the ringpost - nice. Roode gets the crossface, but EY gets the rope. Roode gets a Boston Crab. A kid yells C'MON BOBBY C'MON BOBBY C'MON BOBBY! EY smashes the knee on the steps and that same kid yells YOU SUCK. Chop exchange. Punch exchange. EY gets the figure four. This is technically just fine, but I just do not care about this match at all. EY bonks heads with the ref, and EY eats a crossface after a chugga chugga nothing spot. He taps, but there's no ref. EY nails him with the brace and gets the figure four. Roode says "fuck you" to EY here in THE OPENER and taps. Lashley walks around somewhere, as does Kurt.

Wolves come out and they say that Eddie busted his heel during a PPV taping and show the injury and X ray. Crowd chants "Wolves" and howls. Eddie says that his heel basically broke in half and he gets an 'Eddie Edwards" chant and he says that they have to vacate the titles. Davey talks about how they're the WOLVES, they're brothers, and THE WOLVES NATION...ugh. The promos here were terrible, but I loved them putting the belts in the corner and bowing to them. Then Davey yells some more about THE HUNT NEVER DIES. Christy chats with Lashley about him regaining the gold tonight. Gail faces Angelina next and we get a terrifying graphic for it.

Angelina comes out and Josh talks about Twitter and how you can follow everyone and how the show has met all of its expectations so far. Angelina, of course, talks. She is blessed with beauty, shakes it, and is a GREAT WRESTLER. Angelina gives Gail a wedgie off a lifting jawbreaker, and they pimp the Sting DVD. Taz is greatly offended at the thought of THE CHAMPION BEING THE BEST PERSON IN THEIR DIVISION. Taz refused to shut up about this for eons. Gail gets whipped into the steps. Gail responds with a Russian legsweep into the apron. They zoom in a ton on Angelina's ass. They yammer on about Taryn in movies. Taz and Josh tonight MIGHT be worse than Byron on Raw. Gail goes for a run-up rana that gets botched badly, so Love turns it into a near powerbomb for 2. Love hits the kick, but Gail gets the rope, while Gail gets Eat Defeat and wins. Very good little match on its own - but the commentary was horrendous. Destination America's Ghost Hunters find the Revolution. Storm sends them to die and fucking hell this was bad - but entertaining.

Bram-Magnus recap with a Drive-style fast cut for the violence. Bram's out first, followed by Magnus. They fight a bit to the floor. Ramp powerbomb is teased by Bram as payback, but Magnus backdrops out of it. Bram attacks the back and stomach with a chair. Lots of nothing here. Josh says NEXT WEEK IS SPECIAL - it's a live-tweet edition of the show. Josh talks about how great that idea is and then how great this match is. No. It's fine, but not great. Magnus talks to Mickie, and he eats a chairshot as a result. Bram goes for a conchairto on the steps, but Mickie goes into the ring and Storm comes in to save her - he won't stand for a woman being hit. Magnus comes back with kicks and a rabbit lariat. Chair to Magnus gets 2.5. Magnus avoids the DDT on the chair, but eats it for a 2.5. Magnus gets a chain of punches and a powerbomb before nailing a second one! Spine Shaker gets the win. This was an overbooked mess, but not bad. JB with a bit of hair back talks to Kurt about his match tonight. Ghost Asylum preview.

Magnus asks Storm what the deal was, and Storm basically says he only did it for Mickie and then winks at her. Lashley runs around backstage in new orange and black gear and we get a recap of their first match. Lashley's out first and his whole getup looks good. Kurt gets a nice intro and a break will bring us to the full match intros.

Kurt and Bobby shake hands and Lashley takes him down. Angle rolls through into a smooth headlock. Shoulderblock takes the champ down and another one sends him to the floor. Angle gets a go-behind as Josh talks about Lashley's MMA record. Chancery by Lashley leads to a hammerlock. Clean break leads to Lashley going for a kick, Lashley going for a high crotch takedown and being evaded. Overhead belly to belly by Kurt and a German. Clothesline over the top by Kurt. Lashley pulls Kurt to the floor and hits a hard clothesline to take him down.

Corner charge by Lashley hits hard. Second one sets up a bearhug. Taz talks about the butterfly grip being far superior to locking your fingers together, and he's adding a ton to this. Angle is taken down for 2 and then Lashley goes for an inverter bearhug. Kurt gets wrist control and elbows free. Suplex by Lashley gets 2. So far, I'm digging this more than even their first match.

Snap suplex by Lashley gets 2. Angle avoids a charge and sends Lashley to the floor. Mid-ring punch exchange leads to the rolling Germans, but Lashley avoids a second one and gets a spinebuster for 2. Big swing is ducked and leads to another German. Two, but Lashley uses the rope to prevent a third. Leapfrog from Lashley leads to a powerslam from him for 2. Corner charge is missed and Angle gets a belly to belly and more rolling Germans. Angle slam hits for 2. Ankle lock is on and Angle goes mid-ring for it. Lashley rolls through and sends Kurt to the floor.

Kurt gets sent into the steps a few times. Stun gun to the guardrail to Kurt! Ouch! He rolls him in to a round of applause. Lashley gets a delayed suplex. Lashley gets the spear and only gets 2.5! Lashley goes up top, but Kurt meets him up there. They slip a bit up there and Kurt gets a scary super Angle slam for 2.5! Kurt goes for the moonsault and misses, and it leads to Lashley getting an ankle lock of his own. Kurt rolls through and Lashley's head bonks the corner, but he's cradled and has his shoulder up for the whole thing - so that's the hook for the rematch. Taz makes it clear that the ref blew the call by looking in the wrong part of the ring to make the call. They shake hands and we get a replay showing it. FANTASTIC main event. That might've been even better than their first match. Screwy finish aside, it was wonderful.

WWE SmackDown 4-2-15

BY GOLLY, we'll actually be covering SD live as it happens this week. Sure, it's going to be full of filler, but I like the idea of the IC Title-level stuff, so it should be worth a watch. In bigger news, the Impact reviews will NOT be on the site anymore. Instead, they'll be on the Wrestling Observer site!  The Beast's beatdown from Raw was recapped to start the show. This takes A LONG time to get done - about 4 minutes before the regular show intro hits. Tom Phillips is here instead of Cole and does a pretty good job introing the show. Seth and the goons come down and they show the site report on the injuries.

Show yells "I'M NUMBER 1 - LOOK AT THIS - ME!" next to the statue. Then Seth does "I love it when a plan comes together" all weird and hypes himself up. He runs down Brock for not only ending the Raw match, but also PREVENTING IT FROM BEING ON SMACKDOWN TOO. Orton comes down. Orton says he deserves a rematch and Show says "you take your skinny butt to the back!" This is Show's best use in company history. Seth's gear really does look perfect with the shiny gold trim on the belt. Orton says Show at least won at WM, while Kane went from being the Big Red Monster to being Little Red Riding Hood. 15 MINUTES INTO THE SHOW, Kane announces Show vs. Orton. And it's next!

WM slideshow. Orton gets a surprising amount of offense to start - including the draping DDT off the top. J and J jump in for a DQ. Ryback comes down to save Orton from a bigger beating. They alternate finishes on the goons. Sheamus's attack recap leads to them saying that due to the Brogue kick, Dolph's unable to compete - so Bryan will face Sheamus. Um, Bryan got hit with a kick too, but whatever - they made a finisher seem important.
RouseyMania recap. Divas match is up with the Bellas on commentary. Nattie bends over quite a bit to show off her cleavage. Naomi's going to face her and she says that her beating the divas champion shows that she can beat the champion. For some reason, she still has Brodus's music and said its lyrics in her promo. Mirror dropkick and nip up. Abdominal stretch counter sequence. Sharpshooter countered into a cradle and it leads to the headscissor driver for the win. Short and sweet match here. Cena will be on the show later. Roman interview is next.

Seth met with Mr. Kane, who says that he's considering making Orton vs. Seth because ER is under 4 weeks away and that match seems like a great idea. Seth says IT STINKS and Dean comes out with a newspaper and says he really enjoys Kane's digs. Kane is so upset that he makes Dean vs. Luke Harper and Dean is...just totally fine with this. So much for there being a Shield triple threat at some point in this whole deal. Roman interview.

Roman was honored to be a part of the WM main event, but took a few trips to Suplex City - in fact, he wants to buy a condo there. Brock had no answer for the punches and busted him up with his fist. Brock smacked the piss out of him, but he got up. Byron asked him about Seth taking his dram away and Roman says it was terrible. He HAD IT. But hey, it was Seth's job to cash it in and he did it. Roman proved that HE CAN AND HE WILL and he COULD HAVE. He beat Seth before, he CAN, HE HAS, AND HE WILL BEAT HIM AGAIN! This was really good - Roman didn't quite come off as wishy-washy as it seemed in spoilers about losing.

Miz is out for a match. WM attendance hype. Miz faces truth. THE AWESOME TRUTH EXPLODES! Miz does the little band leader hand motions with Truth's singing. Mizdow-Miz recap and Byron is apparently a heel on this show because he wants to see all of Miz's mannerisms. Miz gets the Finale and the win...so much for Truth in a title picture. Mizdow, LIKE A COWARD, attacks Miz from behind. Miz did it on Raw, but that STILL MAKES MIZDOW A COWARD. Cena is up next.

WM US Title match recap slideshow. Cena came down to mostly cheers. He puts Rusev's path of destruction over and calls him a douchebag, which is censored. He calls him the American dream who didn't appreciate it. Cena reads the poem on the Statue of Liberty and he wants the outcasts, underdogs, and all B+ players! HE'LL TAKE ON ANYONE FROM BROCK LESNAR TO THE BUSHWACKERS and give them the opportunity to be the U.S Champion! You know, Kurt Angle answering this challenge would be a fun little callback to Cena's debut... RUSEV AND LANA COME DOWN! Cena's half the man Ruisev is and it is THE ERA OF...Rusev not losing at WM. Boo - I wanted her to keep talking.

Rusev is still America's champion AND HE IS A RUSSIAN TANK! THIS IS RUSEV COUNTRY! THIS IS RUSEV WORLD! Rusev will give Cena the opportunity to be CRUSHED AT EXTREME RULES! Rusev waves his flag and does the flag bit, BUT CENA HAD IT CHANGED! Cena put his hand to his heart at the sight of the flag - nice touch, and then he sang about how he'll pledge to kick Rusev's ass at the PPV. This was effective. Cena as U.S. Champion works, and this booking can get him and that title over as a main event-level championship. IC Title stuff recap. Dean vs. Luke is next.
Neville hype video. Another WM slideshow. Harper's mid-ring already and we see a still of the ladder powerbomb. Nice sequence where Dean gets a sliding D lariat and then the power drive elbow for 2. A Harper throat thrust leads to an ad break. Harper goes for the powerbomb, but Dean escapes. Flying Misawa elbow from the barricade when Harper destroys the table. Dean goes to powerbomb him through the table, but eats a pair of shoves into the post. Powerbomb through the announce table by Harper! Refs...move around him and that's it. DQ. No contest. No idea.

Prime Time Players have a new shirt with the Prime Time Wrestling logo and they mock The New Day. Titus mocks Big E's bizarre preacher voice. Titus buries the sunken chest and Xavier has a PHD - a Personal Hair Disaster. "NEW DAY!" leads to crickets chirping, but THE DOG BARK doesn't. MILLIONS OF DOLLARS! MILLIONS OF DOLLARS! This ruled. Sheamus came down with a new Celtic God of War song that I want to buy right now. He's also got a longer tron and blacked out intro, which is great. Sheamus embraces the "YOU LOOK STUPID" chant and says he's attacked Bryan and Dolph BECAUSE HE CAN! Sheamus watched TV and wants to know where all the real men went - sure, these guys are little go-getters, BUT THEY MAKE KEVIN HART LOOK LIKE SHAQ. They're vertically-challenged runts. They can't even hang in the main event, but Sheamus? He's not here to disappoint anyone or put a smile on a face - he's here to crush your hopes and dreams. Bryan comes down wearing the title, and it looks pretty good on him.

WM slideshow leads to BARRETT ON COMMENTARY. On SD, they can actually try and fix the table! Nice shots in the corner from each man. Barrett says that King isn't doing his job and that Saxton has never done anything good in his life. Ouch. Bryan gets the corner kicks and Barrett commends Sheamus for going after underdogs - which doesn't include him since he's dominant. Bryan never beat Barrett and that makes him a paper champion. King says "nice!" and Barrett says yes, he is nice! Man is Barrett a star here. If this exact presentation was on Raw in a main event slot, they'd have three main event-level guys here.

Leg dragon screw by Bryan. Bryan traps him down and gets some mounted slaps. Sheamus gets some corner shots in, but Bryan gets some more kicks. Holding tilt a whirl backbreaker from Sheamus. Fantastic shot of Sheamus looking intense for the ad break.

Barrett tells Byron to call him SIR BAD NEWS! Sheamus gets a big knee to the gut while Barrett says he's a legit meat and potatoes fighter, but he should really have a word with his barber. Sheamus hits Jason Jett's Crash Landing release suplex - nice! He nails it once again. Sheamus lets him get up just to knock him down again. Big European uppercut hits for Sheamus. Barrett says the fans have turned on Sheamus - now they're booing him and they were booing him mere months ago. Sheamus gets some corner slaps. BRYAN FIGHTS BACK WITH BIGGER SLAPS! Corner comeback hits for Bryan!

Sheamus is backdropped to the floor to set up the dive, which hits. Bryan avoids White Noise and goes for the Yes Lock out of it. Bryan drop toeholds him into the buckle and kicks him. Sheamus trips him up on top, leading to more uppercuts! Sheamus gets a nice cravate and lands a sick neckbreaker out of it. Nice - he's added some new wrinkles and it helps freshen him up a lot in the ring. Chest clubbering only gets to three before a headbutt contest splits Bryan open and Barrett elbows him down. Sheamus tries to bring him in twice, but opts to just take the countout over the fallen champion. Doctors tend to Bryan while Barrett puts himself over more. Barrett came off like the biggest star in his whole deal honestly, and really came off like a top-level guy again.
