AEW Collision 1-10-26

 

We've got a decent card of action with Mark Briscoe facing Hechicero and some other matches on tap too, including Komander vs. El Clon.  Death Riders trios action starts things off with Yutes, Pac and Garcia out against SkyFlight. Sky gets 2 off a backslide before Darius eats a forearm from Yutes. Pac stomps on Dante's ankle after the break before a C4 TO YUTES BY DARIUS! Zayda and Marina bicker before A CORNER ASSAULT ON DARIUS AND A LARIAT AND BRUTALIZER WIN IT! This was a lot of fun and Bayne hits the Ligerbomb to Zayda afterwards. 

Mark promo on Hechi and BRODY KING GETS A STANDBY MATCH! Barrett Brown eats a beating quick. DCF kills guys backstage while Josh chats about it while Lance kills a dude. Nigel talks about Komander dying twice near birth and his mother saying if he lived, he'd be spectacular and he's living up to that now - and indeed he had a banger with El Clon. Poison rana by Komander after a big overhand chop on the ropes! Ropewalk fosbury and SSP before Clon gets the forward flipping Pele! PORTAL BOMB NO DESTROYER! Portal Bomb wins it after the Penta Driver.

WK 20 recap video! Mina vs. Lady Frost begins with Frost jumping her after Mina gets some flowers and a ton of gymnastics work before Mina gets a rolling elbow. URAKEN AND THE FIGURE FOUR WINS IT! Short and fun! Mark vs. Hechi is up next but we get a Mone' recap of her downfall. Hechi gets a spinning hammerlock into an Irish curse! Cross armbar on the floor by Hechi leads to a strike exchange mid-ring. ARM AND KNEEBAR BY HECHI! Hechi gets a Slapjack into a border city stretch! Avalanche hammerlock leads to a Mark headbutt and a FROGGY BOW! JAY DRILLER WINS IT!  Congolmeration celebration!

Maximum Carnage Collision has the GYV against Kingston and Ortiz. OMEGA VIDEO! FTR hype video before Vert, Hyan and Maya World face the Babes. OF. WRATH and Kris. Kris double rana to Hyan and World before Willow and Harley hit a backpack senton! Stat gets a front flip into a superkick before the tombstone wins it. Harley wants a belt clanging in solidarity before Thekla is annoyed. Fletcher complains about Okada and OKADA screwed them all over at World's End! Don wants him as TNT Champion and that's a great use of this energy - CHAMP! 

Trios time with The Demand against JetSpeed and Bowens, before they demolish Knight and hang him by the ropes while just being dudes. Knight gets 2 off the springboard lariat. Kaun gets a DOUBLE BIG ENDING ON JET SPEED! GOA gets a double spinebuster for the win. Fun night of action and they beat Bowens and beat him up UNTIL CASTER...slowly walks down to save. DCF is out and the CONGLOMERATION IS HERE! 

AEW Dynamite 1-7-26 - Jim Ross Returns

 

Maximum Carnage is next week and we get a rare pre-show angle on social media with Jake Something and Mark Davis beating the shit out of JetSpeed to collect on a bounty from Ricochet as they promise a BIG PRESENCE ON COMMENTARY - JIM ROSS! Ricochet says IT'S NOT A BOUNTY IT'S A GENTLEMAN'S AGREEMENT! Mox vs. Shelton is up to start and if it goes 20 minutes, a draw gets Shelton a win and a title shot. 

They walk and brawl in the crowd after some nice fighting mid-ring. BARRICADE LARIAT BY SHELTON! MVP talks about Shelton wrestling and doing a track meet at the same day. GERMAN ON THE FLOOR BY SHELTON! AVALANCHE BUTTERFLY SUPERPLEX BY SHELTON! SUPLEX CITY BY SHELTON! Paydirt hits for 2.5! PARADIGM SHIFT GETS 2.5! Chinlock by Mox at the 19 minute mark! RISING KNEE TO MOX KOS HIM for 2.9! TRIANGLE CHOKE BY SHELTON! BUT MOX STACKS HIM AND WINS AT 19:55! 

WRESTLE KINGDOM CLIPS for Tana's last match. The Demand is out and Perry is out AND THE BUCKS ARE HIS PARTNERS with the SUPERKICK PARTY THEME! Vintage Bucks offense before the break. Willow celebration time! We get WWE ECW lighting and Mercedes is invited out and goes into the cake! VINTAGE BRISCOE PROMO from Mark on Hechicero. Thekla cuts a weird promo with the Sisters and the vibes from them remain odd. They face Kris and the Babes next week and I figure Mone helps them win that. Sammy vs. Bandido is up! Sammy hits a pump kick and gets hyped up as having matured since 2019 in Dynamite's first match - which was against MJF during his panda head days. SPRINGBOARD SSP BY SAMMY TO THE FLOOR! Sammy is all bloody off somSething. POP UP CUTTER BY BANDIDO! Sammy avoids a 21 PLEX AND HITS A FLYING KNEE FOR 2! 21 PLEX WINS IT before MJF is out and insults CMLL.

He says he's a lucha legend and HE HAS JON CRUZ WITH HIM for translation just like his CMLL run and MJF tells him to give him the ring now and cancel the match too because he's going to dogwalk him. Bandido grabs Cruz's mic and tells him he can speak English YOU STUPID SON OF A BITCH! And MJF just ballshots him or between the barn and the chicken house as JR says. Bandido gets the right from MJF and HITS A 21 PLEX ON CRUZ AND THEN MJF!

Toni vs. Marina is up! Marina dominates before an ad break. More stuff from Marina and Toni gets a brief edge and wants the hip attack but NO THE BIG PACKAGE IS ON but YUTA GETS HER DQed by pulling the ref out. Marina kicks Mina before LUTHER IS SAVED BY THE CONGLOMERATION! Darby and Pac fight and Darby jumps him with a fire extinguisher and throws him into a steel door before threatening to shatter his ankle unless he gets the match so he does. Okay then. Main event lights out match is up. 

AND IT'S A SHOOT LIGHTS OUT match and looks like shit. okay, so watching on TV is bad enough but imagine paying for a ticket in this shit. It took them a good 5 minutes to turn the lights on. Hanger and Swerve get chained together and THEY FLIP EACH OTHER OVER to escape.DEADEYE AND THE SWERVE STOMP TO HOBBS ON THE CINDER BLOCKS! Hanger chokes out Hook and a HOUSE CALL TO HOOK! BUCKSHOT TO HOOK! AND HE HANGS HOOK TO TAP!

WWE Raw 1-5-26 - Netflix Anniversary Show

 

We start off with Corey and Cole while the Kabuki Warriors vs. Rhea/Iyo is up first. MASSIVE draping double stomp from Kairo to Iyo for 2. RAZOR'S EDGE and then...a missile dropkick for 2.9 or 3, no 2.9. Okay weird. Codebreaker from Asuka gives a 2 for Kairi. Cutlass avoided by Iyo and a German hits. BULLET TRAIN ON THE ROPE! RIPTIDE AND OVER THE MOONSAULT WINS IT! Nice win here and Pearce congratulates them before he asks Gunther to not be too much of an asshole.

Gunther talks shit about Cena until TNA LEGEND AJ STYLES IS HERE! Gunther talks shit about little AJ and slaps him and he slaps back. Becky vs. Maxxine gives the belt back to Becky when she's locked in the ankle lock, but leans back and uses the ropes to win! Usos do some yeeting and we get a CHAPTER FOUR TO KISS A DEVIL intro for Stephanie Vaquer. 

Stephanie is asked WHAT NOW after a whopping 3 defenses. She's got a walking boot on and says this won't stop her - okay well this was all just weird. Okay Raquel jumps her so I guess she's fine. She goes to Pillmanize it but Helms, Daivari and Pearce stop it. Daivari is still gigantic and Raquel jumps her backstage too. GOD THESE AUTHORITY FIGURES SUCK!

Liv vs Lyra is up and Liv looks okay out there. Not doing a ton but she gets a codebreaker off the Night Wing before Bayley goes to attack Roxy and Lyra being a dumb babyface looks back AS SHE'S ENTERING THE RING AGAIN and eats the Oblivion to lose like an idiot. Great cover by Liv too.

THE BADASS BRON BREAKKER is here in his best main roster gear yet. Punk, however, is in an Al Bundy-ish letterman jacket at like 50, and Cole brings up that Breakker is younger, faster and basically just better in every way. Bron outshines him on the mat with punches and so many floatovers that Punk can't get his body into position. Bron is taking 90% of this and it feels like a Mone' match in that way - maybe Punk will retain. Punk avoids the Breakkensteiner to a YOU FUCKED UP chant and they're playing up his inexperience costing him there. Savage elbow off of BRET'S ROPE gets 2. Top rope one gets nothing with Heyman yells at Punk. CURB STOMP BY THEORY GETS 2! 

DRAGON LEE AND PENTA ARE HERE! WITH REY! Rey, Lee, and Penta send Reed out with a DDT and double superkick. GTS HITS FOR 2.9! PILEDRIVER BY PUNK GETS 2.9! Fujiwara by Breakker, who gets a GTS BUT PUNK TURNS IT INTO AN STF! GIANT TOP ROPE LARIAT TO PUNK!. Spear but a punt and the GTS HITS TO WIN! This was a fantastic match - definitely PPV-level stuff.

AEW Collision 1-3-25

 

What a difference a few days makes. It's been three days since Dynamite and 3 days since I've fired up the Xbox. In that time, we've got a new year, a new war going on and what the fuck man, Tanahashi's career ends in mere hours. Collision has no real killer matches, but it's a chance to break out of the doom cycle, so what the heck. COLLISION SNME PROMOS ARE UP. Clon wins with the portal bomb in a quick win over Angelico. SERPENTICO IS HERE AND GETS BEATEN UP!? WAZZUPWITDAT!

Mox staircase promo time! Maya and Hyan face the love bombs and Mina works with Maya nicely before Toni and Hyan tag in. BASEMENT SHOTGUN DROPKICK HITS FOR TONI! Mina slips but hits a run-up crossbody with Toni holding her arm! Mina roundkick misses, but the backfist doesn't! MONGOLIAN CHOPS BY TONI! Big boot and Blake Monroe's finish hit for 2. Russian legsweep/blockbuster combo gets 2 on Toni! Mina slaps her ass to signify it's time for Toni's hip attack! AEW avoids the closeup of Toni's ass for the wedgie, but goes for the Terri corner cam up the ass for Mina. Okay then. AVALANCHE SLINGBLADE BY MINA and a storm zero wins it!

MARINA IS HERE right as they celebrate. DUN DUN DUN! and she teams with Bayne against Chanel and Dior. Bayne dominates and wins quickly. DCF beats up goons with Josh being silly and Lance Archer destroying goobers and Josh just wackily recites all that the DCF is doing tonight and at WK. Okay THIS was the best promo work he's done in TNA or AEW - unreal! 

Hechicero vs. Komander is up and if Hechi wins, he faces Mark for the TNT Title. Hechi ties him up on the mat and if Hechi wins, the TNT Title match is on Collision. Komander hits a back bodyblock in mid-air. Hechi gets a legdrive INTO THE ROPE  and a ROLLING BOW AND ARROW! INTO A GROUNDED OCTOPUS! Shotgun knees to the back, then face then a WACKY CRADLE WINS IT!

The Acclaimed is FORCED TO BE FRIENDLY TO EACH OTHER and it's fantastic. Kingston and Ortiz are out and Kingston tells Tony to hold the mic up and that Ole and Flair musta hated him and he wishes a kid happy birthday and they threaten GYV. Lexy, Bill and Bryan Keith say there's a bounty on JetSpeed as Lexy's in a goofy outfit.

Speedball dives out for a near ad break before Bill shoves down both guys. Keith hits an exploder AND THEY BOOT BAILEY BACK TO BACK FOR 2.5! Dropkick and the UFO splash win it. Shelton vs. Dante is up and Dante runs wild with forearms before Shelton tosses him around outside and during the break, they call each other out and Dante INSULT'S SHELTON'S MAMA! SUPLEX CITY! Rising knee and the thrust kick win it! MVP hypes his man up and says he'll destroy Mox and his D Riders. 

Sammy challenges Bandido for his title shot on Dynamite and he accepts. YUTES is here at the venue to face Darby. Darby gets tripped by Marina and Yuta throws him around and TONI ATTACKS MARINA WHEN SHE REFUSES TO LEAVE! JUDGMENT SLAM BY YUTES GETS 2.9! APRON BUSAIKU KNEE TO DARBY SENDS HIM INTO A FLIP ON THE FLOOR! Hammer and Anvil elbows and DARBY EATS A SHARPSHOOTER! DARBY HITS A COFFIN DROP TWICE! AND HE PULLS HIM UP! SIDE SCORPION DEATHLOCK WINS IT!
