It's their first Montreal PPV and it's definitely an odd lineup. There's no killer marquee match on the card, but there's no bad matches either. We get a cool Fletcher-Bandido video before a shot of the crowd shows a ton of empties. Mick hypes up Claudio was a world title-level guy and Cope and Cage are more versatile. JJ is hyped for the Owen tourney bringing folks to Wembley. The Rougeaus come out and Raymond is loved and Jacques is booed. Rocky interrupts and he sells for the Rougeaus and Raymon hit a savage kick!
Trios title time with the Demand on commentary. Strong runs OC into everyone in the corner before OC bonks everyone's heads into the buckle. Blake is maximizing his minutes in this one. OC turns Jay's diving elbow into a crucifix for 2. LETHAL INJECTION HITS OC FOR 2.9! Another attempt eats a high/low from KOR and Roddy and the Orange Punch wins it. Jeff says no one does AEW PPVs like them - thanks Jeff. Ladder match opens things up.
Nick Wayne and Bailey do cool shit for a bit and Clon HITS PERRY WITH A GTS as a nothing move. Ha! Perry hits a moonsault on the pile on the ramp. Apron destroyer by Jack to Mortos before a rana to the floor through a table onto a ladder. Clon hits a foot-grabbing Made in Japan off a ladder to Kommander to the mat. Perry with a nasty destroyer off a ladder to Wayne into a ladder bridge that doesn't budge. Fuck. Bailey with an Ultima Weapon to Mortos in the corner and he wins after 20 minutes.
Bucks vs. Mox and Ospreay is up. Cool garage door intro for the Riders before a lock-up AND A MERCH AD really now? You have all this recap video time and do THAT during a match!? Matt runs wild with a superkick block, DDT to Will and then a plancha to Mox on the floor. Mox and Will double team in the corner with a foot choke to bring out an edge in Will. Will wants a deathground, but it gets kicked away. Wheelbarrow facejam to Will! Mox piledrive rand a Will Clash gets 2.5 and Mox wants an RNC but Nick avoids. Superkicks to Mox and more bang hits! EVP TRIGGER TO MOX BUT THE HIDDEN BLADE HITS! Mox can't stand Ospreay not going for the kill so he tags in and hits a stomp for 2.9 and the RNC! Mox does the elbows to the neck! Nick eats a paradigm and another! DEATH RIDER HITS! And he gets a chair! Mox opens the door to Will eating a superkick with a chair and Mox eats a BTE trigger and absorbs that with a bird before eating a ton superkicks to end it.
Fletcher vs. Bandido is just an awkward mess to start with Fletcher stalling and Bandido just weirdly throwing him into the ropes. Deadlift suplex to Fletcher and then a snap German countering the half and half! FROG SPLASH TO THE FLOOR BY BANDIDO! Mid-Ring one gets 2.9! Bandido gets a flurry of headbutts and wants the wonky GTS, but gets countered. Wonky lift into the GTS hits flush and the deadlift 21Plex gets 2 and Bandido just goes BAM BAM BAM on him. TAKESHITA KNEE AND THE BRAINBUSTER HITS FOR 2.9! Buckle brainbuster misses and BANDIDO gets a massive chant and shoves him down onto his ribs on the buckle. AVALANCHE MICHINOKU DRIVER GETS 2.9 FOR KYLE! TURNBUCKLE BRAINBUSTER WINS IT!
Dogs vs. Bang Bang Gang is up for the DOUBLE CHAIN MATCH! Finlay powerbombs Jay and his bright white pants into the post. Goddamn this is just clunky as shit with the chairs tripping everyone up. Half and half by Jay! Riders are out to counter the Gunns and the stick hits Juice for the win thanks to Marina! Shida vs. Maya is up so thankfully no Painmaker after that. Apron-mount punches by World ala corner-mount ones - well that's new! Avalanche stretch muffler by Shida. Shida wants the TBS Lock, but Maya escapes. Back and forth cradles get 2 for each. Shining wizard to the neck by Maya, but another sends her out. Maya gets a tope when Shida goes for the kendo stick! Maya misses a moonsault and THE KATANA HITS AFTER A CRADLE FOR 2.9! TTD HITS FOR THE 2.9999!? TBS LOCK but Shida prevents a tap and she doesn't want a win after a German too. ANOTHER KNEE STRIKE but Shida is too cocky and the blockbuster hold wins it. Finally.
Tag title time with Cope eating a beating before getting sent out on the floor and Cage carries the load. DOUBLE TEAM NEUTRALIZER TO COPE! Cope gets the GRINDHOUSE crossface but Claudio saves. Spear to Pac ends it after what felt like 20 years. Taz's "as this goes on and on..." was accurate. Bucks interrupt the singalong. That is official for ALL IN! Ciampa vs. Jericho is up and Jericho has a trillion stupid nicknames and the paint and the mask and it's all glittery. Codebreaker starts for 2. POCKET SAND gets 2.
Pucks and tacks and sandpaper to the face! Ciamps gets a tack elbow pad but the walls is on and Ciampa uses the barb wire bat to escape. AA off the apron through a barb wire table by Jericho. Avalanche air raid crash by Ciampa through chairs and barb wire boards. Judas Effect with the barb wire elbow pad for 2.9. POWER DRILL TO THE HEAD GETS THE WIN. Okay cool whatever.
Andrade vs. Davis is up and a running rana sets up a crossbody and floor fun with Andrade macking on babes and drinking beer. Davis gets a big lariat off the double knees attempt. Andrae hits the DM and wins it. Bailey vs. Fletcher is made for Arena Mexico and it's Willow vs. Thekla time. Walking suplex on the floor before Thekla claws away. Spider superplex by Thekla! Kneeling figure four with forearms by Willow before Thekla turns it into a Muta lock. Willow hits a sick murderdeathkillbomb on Skye on the floor before a BACKSLIDE WINS THE TITLE!
Main event time and Knight chokes him out with ring tape. Knight gets heat working THE GUTS and a cool abdominal stretch. V TRIGGER ON THE ROPE TO KNIGHT! OWA avoided and turned into a sunset that Kenny avoids and the snapdragon hits! SNAPDRAGON ON THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! BACK AND FORTH FOREARMS! SUNSET BOMB OFF THE TOP BY KENNY after KARATE CHOPS!
UFO AND THE KNEES ARE UP! Knight flips over the OWA and eats a knee and an OWA TO END IT! Knight's best singles match to date and this clicked. But it's damn near midnight and this is like hour six. Lordy. Death Riders attack afterwards because Will wouldn't attack him and the Bucks are out! Ospreay stops a chair stomp and they have Wheeler distract and HE SWINGS THE CHAIR AT THEM! Mox gives him a bag and he rips it up. AND HE HIDDEN BLADES MOX AND YUTA! Oh snap!
They celebrate and KENNY OWAS HIM so he's the heel going in. Smart.
