AEW is back in VA - but Richmond, this time around. This is the second time VA plays host to MJF vs. RUSH though as they faced off in June of 2024 in Fairfax in a real barn-burner and we start off with an intense Rush promo and MJF slaps him and says he's the matador before coming out as one! Rush and MJF brawl on the floor and MJF slices him open.
MF gets the LeBell Lock and Rush passes out while flipping him off - great stuff! Mark Briscoe jumps MJF and gets a ballshot...well that's fair. Mark vs. Lio is up. Mark grabs a target sign and slams Lio on it - perfect babyface spot there. Jay driller is avoided but the cutthroat driver wins it! He cuts a promo on Max and his love for his brother and AEW may have saved him after losing Jay.
Thekla swears vengeance against STARDOM and spits on their tron. Andrade squash. Don is out with Doyle and announces that Kevin Knight has joined the DCF! And he now faces Speedball! Knight scores a dropkick after a missed SSP. Knight gets a delayed deadlift suplex and a sliding lariat for 2. Leapfrog from Knight is met with a black mass! Bailey gets 2.5 off the straightjacket sunset flip! AVALANCHE SPINEBUSTER BY KNIGHT and a uranage hits to win it.
Windsah theme is back and MERCEDES IS BACK as the wild card! Good back and forth until the shotgun knees to the floor. Backstabber/crossface is on and it's over! TayJay vs. Divine Dominion hype frames that match nicely. Davis basement punches Will to shine himself up. Will avoids the apron driver that ended their last match WITH A RANA! Coast to coast dropkick hits for WILL AND THE STYLES CLASH GETS 2! HIDDEN BLADE HITS but the ref is taken out by Davis' enzuiguri! DCF vs Death Riders brawl! Cage with a ZUBAZ F5! Oscutter hits for 1 before Jake pulls the ref out again. MOX ATTACKS DOYLE WHEN HE THROWS MARINA OFF HIM! Ospreay wants a tiger driver BUT FLETCHER ATTACKS WITH A HALF AND HALF! Kyle wants the screwdriver and Take saves before TWO HIDDEN BLADES HIT and get 2.9. Floatover into the deathground armbar wins it!
