Two of the five matches on the card are pretty big between Punk and Drew in the cell and the Bloodline tag. Naomi, Bianca and Jade host and we get Goldberg in the crowd. Drew vs Punk opens with a staredown and slugfest. Punk dominates in the corner before Drew gains control with hammer fists.
Drew slams him into the cell before eating it himself, including some shots to the back of the head. Punk brings a table into play and a chair, so it's just like my game version of the match last night. Right down to Punk tasting the steps. Punk chokes him with a chair, which would almost be doable in games with the kendo stick. Floor claymore! Drew eats steps before smashing Punk on them.
Drew spikes him to get color! The ref checks on him and clears him. Drew wears the blood on his chest Wrench shot bloodies Drew before an axehandle version is met with a belly to belly. GTS but Drew goes outside. Claymore gets 2! Punk wants a sharpshooter! Drew spikes him with the wrench again to break it! APRON SUPLEX THROUGH A TABLE BY DREW! GTS GETS 2! WHITE NOISE ON THE STEPS FOR 2! LOW BLOW BY DREW AND HE'S GOT TACKS! Or a bag of bracelet pieces and a claymore mises on the steps! Punk wraps a chain around his knee, beads to the mouth and a chain GTS ENDS IT! Easy five-star match here.
Bayley vs. Nia is hyped up and hearing Bayley say bitch is so weird. Jackie, Lilian, and Booker are in the crowd before the hosts are in the suite. Nia's out in a giant red outfit looking like a gumball. Camel clutch by Nia is escaped and met with a baseball slide for Nia. Suicide dive by Bayley! Sorta rana by Nia off the top and a belly to belly for 2 by Nia. Samoan drop by Nia gets 2 and BAYLEY GETS ONE TOO for 2. NIA SQUISHES THE REF! Rose plant gets a 10 count BUT NO RED AND TIFFY IS OUT! TAKER SETIUP BY NIA and she catches Tiffy and an O'Connor roll gets 2 for Bayley. AVALANCHE SAMOAN DROP after a Tiffy distraction and the banzai ends it!
Xavier Woods advertises the new Dragon Ball Z game. Balor vs. Priest is up with Priest in Hall blood drip gear. Lots of stomps and apron Kawada kicks from Balor and some eye attacks lead to Balor dominating over the giant babyface. Broken Arrow out of a balor Final cut gets 2! Goons help Finn get 2 off the double stomp, but they get wiped out and a South of Heaven ends it. This was fun.
HHH is out to announce the beginning of a new era for WWE thanks to Crown Jewel. The reigning WWE Champion will face the World Champion for both divisions. Neither title is on the line BUT there will be a definitive winner and they get the Crown Jewel Championship. Gunther is out and says he'll win - so he's losing. He hypes up the legends tonight like GOLDBERG! He was lying when he said Goldberg was his favorite wrestler - how could anyone be impressed by a one trick pony? BILL hops the rail.
Morgan vs. Rhea is up with a MORGAN AND MORGAN (and Morgan graphic. Rhea dominates with a lariat and knee to the jaw before a fallaway slam and some capture issues on my end. Dom tries to escape and Rhea hits him like a pinata with a kendo stick. Raquel jumps Rhea and we get a DQ after a wedgie.
Crown Jewel hype and a 2025 calendar run. Bad Blood post-show will happen after the main event with the Bloodline tag battle. The silly BlackedRaw-style filmic video package with Roman and Cody re-airs. The Pinebluff band plays his theme to the ring in a way that I can't tell is better or worse than the Downstait one at Full Gear 2019. Oh good - Roman returns to an aisle full of violinists... WHAT IS THIS!? This for some reason isn't a tornado rules match and we start with a headlock from Cody to Fatu.
The longest drawn-out tag in history leads to Roman vs. Solo for a bit with Roman getting corner-mount punches. Fatu attacks and hits an assalanche on Roman. Cody comes in and hits a flip flop and fly on Jacob before a Cody Cutter. Pop-up Samoan drop by Fatu! Tons of insanity, Jimmy returns and an OTC SPEAR ENDS IT! Tongans beat down Cody and Roman and Jimmy save. THE ROCK RETURNS TO STAREDOWN WITH CODY ON THE RAMP! Okay, so that seems to be coming up sooner rather than later then. Maybe Survivor Series for Rock's 28th anniversary.
