Joe Tessitore hypes up Bad Blood as a big show and the Sami Zayn main event with him having beaten Gunther for gold before. Tessitore is fantastic at these show-opening scenes setting the stage for the evening and making each show feel eventful. Sexyy Red is out and says a few things before a Bad Blood recap video airs and really does make it seem like a massive event. Punk's out looking more beaten up than usual and hobbles to the ramp and says it feels good to not be dead right now. He's alive but it doesn't feel like it and he won, but it doesn't feel like it. He wants to say it felt great slamming the door in the cell, but he's still left with a lot of questions about his future. He said he had zero cell matches in him and it's still true.
He wants to thank three groups that more in common than they want to admit. The ride-or-dies that show up for seven years before he came and chanted before he came home - thank you. He thanks his peers - most of them, and it's been a joy to be back with them. The third group is the folks that don't like him at all - he's turned their hate into cash, so thank you! He needs to go home and see his wife for the first time in five weeks and wants to say he'll see everyone soon, but doesn't know. Seth comes out to shoulderbutt him out of the way.
He wants Punk to get well soon and he's been gone and now he's back. The Rock is back and Cody's teaming with Roman and getting punched by KO. He wants Bronson at some point and now Jey's out and Seth concedes the ring for the IC Title match. Woods hits an AA on the floor to start for an ad break after 30 seconds of action AFTER AN AD BREAK. Woods eats a goofy punch before landing a forearm shiver. Ropewalk into a Shelton superkick! Uso splash ends it! Woods doesn't smack hands like Kofi did with Jey.
Breakker runs in and hits the now-named SUPER SPEAR to Jey and then Kofi, and then Woods. The Cody-KO issue is recapped and Cody is here...for some reason. Sheamus vs. Dunne is up with a liquor sponsorship for the donneybrook. Nice shot with a stick to start before they fight outside and Dunne avoids a brogue into a barrel and hits a tornado DDT off it before eating a powerslam through the announce table. Crossface with a stick by Dunne before a shot by Sheamus. Dunne hits a baseball slide to the floor before stick shots by Sheamo and the stick locks the arms for the beats on barrels! AVALANCHE WHITE NOISE THROUGH THE TABLES! HIGH CROSS HITS and gets 2! Cricket bat to the back of Sheamus gets 2.5! Dunne zipties Sheamus and gets 2! Brogue knee and kick ends it!
Cody chats with Sami and we get a last monster standing recap. Eva, Pearce, and Page are backstage yammering so Sexyy Red can chat. 10 woman tag is up with the PFC and unholy alliance facing Nattie, Zelina, Katana and Kayden, and Lyra. Katana dive for a break before Zelina axe kicks in the center and Sonya knees her to KO her for 2. Lyra hits the nothing but net to win it. Jade and Bianca hype up Damage CTRL next week for the titles. Kofi vs. Breakker is up next week too. Gunther dominates Sami to start with uppercuts and chops. Sami is the best babyface in peril on US TV since Steamboat. Unreal. Blue thunder turned into a sleeper TURNED INTO A BLUE THUNDER FOR 2.
HELLUVA ON THE BARRICADE AND ONE TO THE HEAD but a face-first one IS MET WITH A LARIAT FOR 2.9! SHOTGUN DROPKICK AND POWERBOMB STACK FOR 2.9! POWERBOMB GETS 1 FOR GUNTHER! RNC IS ON FOR GUNTHER! And he traps him for the win. This was a fantastic match on fast-forward due to the hard out time. Cody stares him down.
