AEW Collision 3-22-26 - Slam Dunk Sunday

The event is starting soon graphic and droning music airs for seemingly 70 years. After starting at 11 for the feed, by 11:35PM, we get the show actually starting! OC and Roddy face off with Old Man Jay Lethal and Lee Johnson. Lethal takes a Demolition Decapitation by stepping off the second, then the bottom and then just drops an elbow. Trillion backbreakers by Roddy! Lee gets a brainbuster and Lethal hits the King's Elbow for 2.5. End of Heartache to Lee and OC covers for the win. Twas fun by lordy what an odd choice for an opener. We get RODDY LORE lamenting the loss of the Paragon and he realized he needed to change AND HE IS A MEMBER OF THE CONGLOMORATION!

Connors and Finlay call them out again. Divine Dominion are out and the tag belt looks perfect on Bayne and Bayne wins with a powerbomb after Kross massacres one person. Ciampa vs. THE MOTH LIO RUSH and this presentation is weird, but memorable and he really does all of his same moves - but very different setups. He just looks much older bald and a bit chunky, but it fits this act. Rana on the corner but Ciampa hits a draping knee on the floor.

Rush gets a Nakamura-style multi-forearm and elbow combo before a schoolboy into a tornado kick. KNEE TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! LOWPE STUNNER GETS 2! BACK TO BACK STUNNERS BY RUSH! Forearms aplenty AND OVERHAND CHOPS APLENTY! Kneeling BLACK MASS BY RUSH! Project Ciampa hits for 2.9! KNEELING BARE KNEE SHOT WINS IT! This ruled - an absolute must-watch match.

Trios tag title is the main event BUT FIRST we get a Swerve-Omega hype video. Josh, Clon, and Takeshita are out to face Mistico and JetSpeed! Josh hits a slam on Clon's knees for 2 before Clon works with Mistico. All the heels set up Mistico to shine brightly which really makes this a perfect match for the live crowd too. Blue thunder by Takeshita gets 2 and Knight avoids the knee! Knight spikes him on a DDT. DOUBLE JUMP RANA BY MISTICO TO CLON!? Lordy!

AND IT'S ONLY 2 - which given that Josh was taken out with his bad knee, I'd just have that as the finish. Clon taps to la Mistica, which is good for the live crowd. Fantastic show overall.
