For the third week in a row, we've got a Kenny Omega match on tap for probably his last World title run in AEW as he faces Andrade. Davis vs. Hanger is up and we got SOME STIFF CHOPPIN AND CLUBBERIN! Barricade crash misses for Davis but he gets a big lariat and an Omega driver for 2.9! TOMBSTONE ON THE RAMP AFTER A DEADEYE! BUCKSHOT WINS IT!
Andrade vs. Omega is up as the hour one main event. Fast start with knees from Kenny before an OWA attempt but Andrade suplexes him on the floor. Kenny gets a series of chops and I need to give him that in 2K. Back and forth forearms after Andrade hypes up his front row fanbase. V TRIGGER IN THE ROPES! MASSIVE CHOPS! ANDRADE GETS THE SPIRAL ELBOW OFF THE V TRIGGER ATTEMPT! Don tosses the screwdriver in but SWERVE PREVENTS IT but DISTRACTS AUBREY FOR A LOW BLOW AND THE DM WINS IT! Andrade vs. Hanger at Grand Slam Australia for the title shot!
Kenny and Swerve brawl, which makes sense as Kenny was screwed here no matter what. Stat Daddy is in a new wacky getup with silver shit and Kris vs. Thekla is up for a rematch on Collision. Megabad vs. Babes of Wrath is up for another eliminator. Ford eats some big chops and a snap suplex for 2.5. DOUBLE SUPERPLEX TO BAYNE! Bayne eats a Willow spinebuster for 2.5 and the faces want their sole food assist, but the heels attack and escape. Doomsday device with the back bump to win it!
Ciampa promo with TNT Goldie. Jack vs. Ricochet is up for the National title. Ricochet dominates to start before a jumping DDT and cutter gets 2 for Perry! SNARE TRAP AND RICOCHET IS OUT but GOA gets involved and Toa puts Ricochet on the rope! THE BUCKS ATTACK GOA! BUT Vertigo wins it - weird finish there. GOA vs. Bucks is up for Collision! Gabe Kidd takes over the truck and drags Darby behind them. Boy that felt like writing Perry out.
I like that they took their last break for the main event intros - makes the TV main event feel like a PPV level match. And it was perfect with Hanger distracting Max, Brody choking out and him going limp and the cannonball and ganso bomb finishing it off. EXCELLENT way to build up Brody and protect Max. He holds the belt up but Andrade hits Brody with the back elbow and the DM TO MJF! HANGMAN BUCKSHOTS ANDRADE!
