It's a tough week for wrestling with Bill Dundee and "The Butcher" Andy Williams passing away, but AEW is celebrating Rebel's life and she's celebrating LIFE as a whole now and her struggle with ALS hasn't taken her smile away. I would expect this to be her final actual TV appearance on a show and it's beautiful to see AEW pay tribute to her while she can appreciate it. Excalibur highlights the Butcher opening graphic and the trios titles start things off with the Conglomeration getting a shot. THE WAITING ROOM IS BACK! Rebel does what she can for her intro and a parade of heels are out and Shida is in a cool outfit.
Kofi works with OC before KOR is in and Creed is so motivated now. Roddy fallaway slams OC onto Swerve and OC and Creed exchange inverted atomic drops. Kofi tags in and RUNS WILD WITH CHOPS AFTER A SPRINGBOARD STEAMBOAT CHOP! Swerve pulls Roddy out for a draping double stomp/backstabber deal on the floor. OC gets a double headlock on TNL before THE POCKET KICKS ON SWERVE! House Call and the Daybreak decap win it!
Demand and Lethal Twist ATTEMPT TO BULLY THE CHAMPS but the Good, Bad, and the Ugly save! Hanger SLOWLY gives Swerve his belt. Darby and Steven talk about him being afraid, until Sting and Darby won the gold and it's time to avoid asking what if. Women's trios is up but first, a Butcher showcase is here and Collision will be a memorial show for him and Excalibur can't keep it together. TONY, HUG HIM! THE DCF POWERS EXPLODE and pay tribute to Rebel and Butcher with their gear.
Britt tags out to Perse to start against Rosa. Shida and Maya just have no chemistry. Britt goads Rosa into a Perse spear on the floor. Rebel IS NOW THE ROLL MODEL and gives Britt a glove to win with the Lockjaw and they roll off together and man this show is just emotional and beautiful and bittersweet. Rebel video package airs for ALS. Andrade vs. Mortos for the National Title is up. C'MON MORTOS! Mortos eats offense before landing a tombstone lungblower. Elbow and DM win it. Gabe attacks Andrade to set up...oh yeah Gabe lost that match so that's weird. Ospreay saves and then the Deathriders are out and some kid is yapping.
Ospreay vs. Finlay is up with Mox on commentary and out in white instead of black. Finlay gets the Irish curse and is put away with a Styles Clash. Josh and Davis vs. Darby and Borden is up and Borden has no theme, but uses Turbo Charged normally. Armdrag by Borden to Davis before Darby gets double hiptossed high. Darby gets 2 off a cradle to Davis. Rack bomb by Josh after Borden gets a dropkick up top to Davis. Borden and Darby do THE STING/DARBY FINISH to win it!
Thekla cuts a promo about playing in a punk band until she saw a guy getting the shit beaten out of him with a chicken carcass and they insult Willow UNTIL WILLOW IS HERE! Bucks vs. Knight and Fletcher is up in a team tables match with two eliminations winning it. Kyle sends a Bucks foot into Knight's face but eats a double basement superkick. Powerbomb attempt sees him eat an X factor and a superkick and a superkick>powerbomb takes Knight out. MATT GOES THROUGH A TABLE OFF A BACKDROP TO THE FLOOR! Helluva kick and a brainbuster hits on Nick! DESTROYER OFF A RUN-UP OFF THE TABLE! FTR AND STOKE LEAD TO AN AVALANCHE BRAINBUSTER WIN FOR THE DCF!
Darby and Steven save despite THE BUCKS FIGHTING STING BEFORE.
