AEW Dynamite 11-29-23

The show starts off with Danielson coming out for commentary on the first C2 match of the night. Jay White vs. Swerve is the main event and Lethal vs. Mox is up first and Lethal in a match with no interference allowed should be a great showcase for him. Danielson points out that Lethal was the longest-reigning ROH World Champion ever and they start off with a lot of headlock takeovers.

They exchange dives and Mox lands weird. "Jon Moxley may have said an expletive for the first time in his life!" Kneebreaker into a back suplex by Lethal into a knee snap. Lethal turns a Death Rider into the Lethal Combo and a Mox cradle gets 2. Lethal gets a figure 4 but Mox escapes into a king kong lariat, piledriver and an RNC is locked on! Mox sells the leg and they're setting him up as the wounded leader of the pack so far.

Kingston does a promo after Collision saying he's gotta heal up for Danielson on Saturday. Danielson says he's coming into this tourney to win and be the first AEW Triple Crown Champion. STING AND FLAIR ON TBS AGAIN! Sting will retire at Revolution in Greensboro, NC! Mark Briscoe vs. RUSH is up and this should be a riot. They start off with back and forth forearms fast! Corner dropkick by Mark! Back suplex on the barricade by Mark and Danielson loves him on commentary so much. "Taz, I didn't know you did an Aberdeen, Washington accent!"

EXPLODER BY MARK! PELE BY MARK! Rush gives him the horns and wins it. MJF comes out with a cane and hypes up how great TNA was with Samoa Joe as the man. MJF says that he's a pillar of AEW and helped build it brick by brick. MJF says he doesn't care of his left knee pops in and out or his left hip pops in and out and doesn't care if Joe's King Kong and Godzilla, because he's going to beat him in NY! The Devil's Henchmen take out Max and Joe saves! Everything just goes black and we get a Lupin III typewriter crawl asking them for a tag match next week.

MJF accepts it and it's made against The Unknown. Wardlow vs. AR Fox is set up quickly with a deadman dive by Fox before a moonsault is met with a powerslam on the apron! Powerbomb symphony before the swanton! Last Ride ref stoppage ends it. Fun stuff! Top Flight returns with Dante returning after his horrific leg break to face the Hardys and Brother Zay with Darius and Action Andretti.

Matt headlock and then a hiptoss leads to Jeff coming in. Dante hits a corner Miz lariat and flies around. Matt hits a neck snap leading to a Jeff apron legdrop. Dante and Zay come in to fly around a bit before Darius eats a big bump on the steps! Triple Impact dropkick by the Hardy Party gets 2. Dante gets a swinging side effect for the win.

Julia's out to face Emi Sakura in a no submissions match. So the moonsault should finish this one off. Chops aplenty by Sakura before Julia grabs the arm and slams her down. Whip into the steps by Emi before a crossbody on the steps! Cross Rhodes by Sakura and a knee pin gets 2, Hartless is locked on but no tap - so the blind forearm and moonsault end it. It's a bit botched, but still works out. RJ is

Christian's countdown now has an ethos attached to each number and he has goons - including THE MAN SCOUNT. He says he's sorry AND IT'S TOTALLY NOT BECAUSE HE HAS NO ONE. The crowd chants at Cage. WILL THIS CROWD SHUT UP THE FATHER OF THE YEAR IS TRYING TO APOLOGIZE TO HIS BEST FRIEND OF 40 YEARS!  He says Luchasaurus' name and talks about taking a trip - a ROAD TRIP OF REFLECTION! Christian says that Adam is like his brother and when they grew up, Adam was family on their trips. He talks about how when Adam's mother passed, she wanted them to be a team one last time - DO IT FOR JUDY - THE JUDEMEISTER! Christian goes for a hug and gets kneed in the balls and says he's taking the title next week!

WHOSE HOUSE!?/SWERVE'S HOUSE! is over huge. Nana doing the dance with a crutch is fantastic and Danielson is great using Jay's G1 history to hype this up. Swerve back suplexes him onto the barricade and into the front row! The fan grabs him and a guard tells him to knock that shit off. Low Saito suplex by Jay! Rolling flatiner hits and then a big suplex gets 2. Short discus lariat hits hard from Swerve and he nails Jay with some basement headbutts. DOUBLE ARM SNAPPER BY SWERVE!

Leg trap backbreaker by Swerve! Win, lose or draw, Swerve is looking better-in-class than a more well-known world-class talent in Jay White. Impressive booking in this match alone. BLADERUNNER BUT SWERVE ROLLS TO THE FLOOR! Attempt 2 but Swerve wants a JML Driver with five minutes left! Blade Runner countered into a spladle gets the win! This was an easy 4 and a half-star match.

WWE Raw 11-27-23 - Punk Returns

I don't think I've watched Raw live since the first post-pandemic show with Cena and crowds returning, but tonight has Punk's first promo back, Cody's announcement, DIXIE BACKSTAGE and QT has announce he's leaving AEW - so it's a big news day. War Games recap starts things off with a ton of Orton clips and he starts the show by soaking in the crowd and wearing a somewhat odd all-black getup with no branded gear on. Orton is on a different level with this promo because he just feels like a human being - and he says he's never done thing and that's be in War Games. He had to answer Cody's call and got to make a moment.

He's got receipts for every member of the Bloodline - in the form of the RKO. Rhea's out and says the Judgment Day has taken over the Bloodline and they took Randy out. She says they'll make his life a nightmare and he's spent 18 years hearing about mami - but daddy's back and that gets a massive chant alongside "who's your daddy?!" Judgment Day attacks and Dom escapes before JD eats an RKO. Orton says he wants Dom TONIGHT! Tag team turmoil is coming up later...for some reason. Wacky tag team promos ensue and we get Tozawa dancing with Jelly Roll.

DIY vs. Otis and Tozawa starts off the turmoil. Otis rolls through a double clothesline attempt and lands a pair of Judas Effects before a coffin splash and corner avalanche. Goofy double worm leads to Tozawa being on the shoulders of Otis and Ciampa hitting a falling knee and their knee/superkick takes out Tozawa. Indus Sheer is out and gets eliminated quickly after a cradle - which is good because they killed the crowd in mere minutes. Creed Brothers are out and Julias hits a massive deadlift powerbomb to Johnny before the Brutus Ball ends it!

New Day's out and Cole uses history to point out that the Creed Brothers could have a game-changing win here. DEADLIFT SLAM FROM JULIAS TO KOFI! The Creeds definitely give off VERY EARLY Mid-South Dr. Death vibes. Brutus hits a standing moonsault and Julius does a standing SSP. Julius catches Kofi on a dive and boots Woods down. BRUTUS BALL TAKES OUT KOFI! IMPERIUM IS HERE! Brutus and Kaiser go at it and Kaiser is in some of the best shape in WWE. Julius murks them with overhead belly to belly suplexes and then kips up! A NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX TO BOTH GUYS AT ONCE.

DOCTOR BOMB BY JULIUS! This is as close to a star-making performance as you can get today for the Creeds. Brutus ball ends it! Backstage, the Judgment Day comforts Priest about their loss at War Games - they're all a family and love each other. Oh boy that turn is going to be something else. Good stuff here - you can see the tag titles mean something in WWE and they're setting up Priest as the fall guy nicely. Cody's out and they've mastered the tron being an artistic device.

He thanks his team and especially Randy for setting him up to win in HIS DAD'S MATCH War Games.  He puts his name in the hat for the Rumble before Nakamura THREATENS CHAOS! Nakamura busts out the Muta mist! Okay this is good-ish already - Nakamura is so great at everything but having fantastic matches now. They thank Living Colour for the new version of "Cult of Personality".

BIG BRONSON is here to battle THE VIKING IVAR in a battle of big clubbering dudes! Corner sitout senton by Ivar leads to A BRONSON SUPLEX! SPINKICK BY IVAR LEADS TO A BASEMENT CROSSBODY AGAINST THE LED APRON! The break is used for a long chinlock and nerve pinch. Tour of the Islands by Ivar gets 2! Doomsault misses and it's time for SPLASHVILLE IN NASHVILLE but Valhalla saves. She gets ejected before the guys brawl on the floor and Bronson hits a DVD into the barricade! Ivar cannonballs onto Pearce and the pile!

And then they just TO THE BACK it for Zoey and Shayna and an argument with Nia. Nia vs. Zoey - joy! Nia's out and in the ring. They play a ton of live reactions to CM Punk's return and come off as a hot company with it. More wacky stuff with Truth and the Judgment Day...wasn't there a Nia vs. Zoey match that was supposed to happen? Okay, Zoey comes out and gets world's strongest slammed after a flip into the ring. Nia has her locked in a torture rack after I listen to Zoey's theme during the break and determine it would have been perfect on a Myspace page. Swinging powerbomb into the buckle by Nia!

Superkick by Zoey! ANOTHER! Nia goes up for a Vader bomb and gets kicked down and then QUESTION MARK KICKED TO THE FACE FOR 2 - okay that was great. Nia hits a Samoan drop and Banzai drop and wins it...okay then. Well that sure doesn't do much for Zoey's momentum - but they're setting up a formal face turn for Zoey I guess.

Miz vs. Gunther recap showcases MIZ'S STRIKING POWER and really sets Miz up as somewhat of a physical threat to a degree. This sets up GUNTHER demanding they go to Pearce and solve the DIY issue. Miz shows up right behind him and mocks him for the troubles with Imperium. THE REAL SETH ROLLINS is here in goofy white and black gear looking less ridiculous than usual.

He gets a big CM Punk chant and looks a bit like The Brian Kendrick. Seth calls Punk a hypocrite and then Drew comes out and says it's been a crazy 48 hours and everyone talks about what they've done outside the ring - but in it is what matters most and he congratulates him on the War Games victory. I love Drew always wanting the title and Drew says that he remembers what Seth said, than losing the match would be his fault for losing and it would be better for him to lose and Drew agrees. He had SYMPATHY for Seth and he lost!

Seth went to Pearce and got a title match made for next week - he'll face Jey Uso and that gets a YEET chant. Drew sends him down with a headbutt and cuts his head open. He attacks Seth more before MAIN EVENT JEY saves and gets a massive YEET chant. Nattie and Tegan come out, but before their match, we get Sami and Drew arguing because Sami doesn't approve of Drew's actions. Drew takes responsibility and Drew says you're right - and now I want a match with you.

A bit of nothing before a break in this Nattie/Nox vs. Chelsea and Piper match. Cole calls Tegan SPEEDY AND AGILE. Chelsea holds Tegan down during a codebreaker for a Piper senton for 2. Faces double suplex Chelsea into the barricade before Piper, who is legal, cannonballs them. Crossbody to Nox ends it. They hype up next week having Sami vs. Drew and Jey vs. Seth for the title. Jey thanks Orton for War Games and Orton forgives him for the past with the Bloodline and him.

Orton is hyped up as a 14-time World Champion with HHH while only Cena and Flair have held more. Dom is out with fringe on his entrance jacket and it's fantastic! Orton isn't doing much movement, but he is doing "a lot" like Nash where you do things without moving your feet. DOM LOCKS RANDY IN A CHINLOCK for more non-movement. Orton gets the draping DDT. Jelly Roll shoves JD down and shoves Dom into the LED apron before a back suplex toss into the announce table. JD eats a DDT and Dom gets the 619, the frog splash misses and the RKO DOESN'T!

Punk comes out looking refreshed and happy for the first time in a long time. He says he's changed and an American Dream told him to speak from the heart because you can't go wrong. It's the truth - he's home. He says that he wasn't forgotten by the fans even when he wanted to forget about himself. He says he wished he said he didn't have to leave - but a wise man (in Heyman most likely) told him he had to leave everything he needs out of this place and he has to do that and he needs to be here for us, the fans.

He says AJ's doing great and sends her regards. Some say they're the best in the world in the ring and on the mic and even on commentary and it's a lie! THE BEST IN THE WORLD IS CM PUNK and that's it - other than him saying he's not here to make friends, he's here to make money. This wasn't " the first dance" and it wasn't even the first Collision promo, but it was okay. It wasn't worth tuning into the full show for and Drew actually outshined him on the mic. Punk doing a Big Money Phil run as a heel World Champion would be a riot. But I don't know if he'll last through a whole Summer of Punk. So far, this feels like Phil's out to play the Greatest Hits in a TNA 401K run.

AEW Dynamite 11-22-23 - Continental Classic Begins

This is a pretty loaded show in terms of match quality. Rush vs. Jay White on free TV with a clean finish should be a riot. Mox faces Mark Briscoe in the main event! Lethal vs. Swerve opens the show up. Highlights air of the death match before Swerve hits the ring. Swerve hits a sliding kick from the corner. Lethal tears him down with the tope and then rips at the arm on the rope. Massive Swerve superplex hits hard! Delayed inverted suplex hit for Lethal. Stretch muffler crab by Swerve! Swerve stomp ends it.

Orange, Shibata, and Hook are backstage and Yuta says he wants hit title back. MJF and Cole are out with a new BOOM entrance bit with a chair. Cole says he wants to be by Max's side but everyone's gunning for him. Max says the devil fears him and the devil appears before Joe saunters out. Joe wants his shot but MJF tells him something that gets muted and Cole wants to save him. Joe tells him that he wants his shot at World's End and Joe says he's got ya back, homie!

Hook, Shibata and OC get a quick win over the ex-JAS when Danhausen returns and curses Hager before the goona tap to an RNC and Redrum. OGK meets with Cole and Strong isn't mad - just disappointed. The Patriarchy comes out and Cage calls Luchasaurus Killswitch after insulting him and Wayne goes on his knees and Cage tells him not too - he's special! He's now the Prodigy and SHAYNA WAYNE IS HERE! Cage insults her and Killswitch protects her! Cage slaps him and tells him to back down before shoving Killswitch into Shayna. Nick and Cage set up a conchairto! BUT HE WANTS KILLSWITCH TO DO IT! Cope makes the save and boots folks and spear Nick!

Jay White and Rush just beat the everloving shit out of each other! A low blow and bladerunner end it. Toni Storm accepts her title like it's an award and thanks JACK WARNER AND THIS IS HER SPOTLIGHT HER SPOT AND YOU WILL NOT TAKE IT OR MAKE IT before Skye Blue interrupts. Skye vs. Anna Jay vs. Ruby sets up more with Toni and furthers Ruby's deal with Ang. I like Ang and Ruby just being awkward middle schoolers - fun act. Skye boots Ruby into Ang's arms and Saraya grabs her by the hair. Skye gets a TKO for the win. Wardlow does a goofy workout before AR Fox interrupts and gets beaten up.

Mark Briscoe's out for the Mox match and I love this tourney being a way for Mark to be the final ROH World Champion. Mox slices him up and lands a big superplex. Choke attempt is turned into a Mox armbar. Mox boots him into a Paradim Shift! Mark gets up and dropkicks him quickly! DEATH RIDER HITS FOR 2.9! Mox half and halfs him! BACK AND FORTH FOREARMS! Knee to the gut and the curb stomp hits with a Death Rider for 3! This was a mighty good night of action overall - lots of filler too though.

AEW Full Gear 2023

Stoke, Renee and RJ chat it up for the Zero Hour - which is pretty loaded with both an ROH World Title and ROH Tag Title match set up alongside Claudio facing off with Buddy Matthews. Hype up for MJF's title match and then a killer video for Orange and Mox. Stokely, the man who is noted is more brave than a lion, being afraid of Mox puts him over huge. INCREDIBLE Storm-Shida hype video. Tag Title hype for the ladder match.

Sting trios tag hype. We are on YEAR 17 OF CHRISTIAN CAGE PROMISING TO END STING'S CAREER. Hangman and Swerve hype involves the Wrestling Revolver beatings too. At 7, the first match hits the ring with Eddie Kingston defending the ROH World Title facing Jay Lethal and Stokely IS PISSED TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF PISSTIVITY! Jay's in throwback shorts and eats a chop before chopping with Eddie. TRIPLE STRUT. Jeff Jarrett is such a great Memphis-style manager - shocking I know. Ortiz prevents interference and the backfist ends it - good-ish match that never got out of first gear.

Claudio vs. Matthews is up and Claudio gets 2 off the big swing and they rightfully put over that beyond beating people with it, he's won titles with it. Buddy gets a powerbomb and then a deadlift jackhammer before locking on a crossface! Ricola bomb into a sharpshooter from Claudio! AND THAT'S THE WIN. This was a lot of fun. Claudio wants a handshake and Buddy nixes it. Good stuff - make people invested in the characters.

ROH Tag Title time and it's crazy how good the Gunns are already - in under three years, they've grown from being enhancement guys who got the tag titles in an odd run at the time that wound up really helping them out. Now they're main event-level allies and Joe is mega-over as is MJF in Lakers gear. Joe is feeling it tonight and landed a great elbow suicida to both Gunns!

Joe is so ungodly over and MJF calls for a muscle buster and that gets nixed but THE KANGAROO KICK...is nixed by Joe! They decide for a STEREO MUSCLE BUSTER! 3:10 to YUMA HITS JOE FOR 2.9 when MJF pulls him out! Cole comes out and JOE TAPS HIM OUT OFF THE DISTRACTION! This was a trillion stars! Cole can't help though as Max is chairshotted to the knee several times! They stretcher him out of the building as he cusses up a storm and tells them to not let them take his title - PROMISE!

The pre-show to full show segue is great. The show-opening video puts over the key matches and really makes the Sting trios match feel special. They recap the pre-show on the main show's opening portion. The Sting Trios match actually starts the card off! Christian gets a children's choir to sing his song and Nigel says it's the Ernie McCracken charity kids! Flair gets a big intro and is called a 21-time world champ in his graphic.

Sting's Squadron comes down all dressed adorn in paint and Sting colors looking so cool before we get an epic shot of Copeland and Cage. Cage avoids Cope. Darby...WITH A FRACTURED SHOULDER IS GOING TO TRY AND CLIMB EVEREST!? WHAT ON EARTH!? RIC FLAIR! RIC FLAIR OF ALL HUMAN BEINGS is pondering that maybe Darby is too goddamn insane. He took the most insane bump onto his hip on the apron and then spilled on the floor and HE'S GOING TO CLIMB EVEREST TOMORROW!

AVALANCHE CODE RED TO WAYNE FROM DARBY! Saurus takes out Sting and Cage takes out Copeland from behind leading to Cage jumping Darby and telling him to tag before Nigel calls him virile. Cope gets his hand on Cage, but Lucha jumps him and Nick helps him to the floor. Cope presses Nick to the floor for a dive and then Darby flips onto them before Sting dives over Flair. Deathdrop to Lucha while Cope does an elbow. THREE WAY POWERPLEX FOR NICK WAYNE FROM THE FACES! Finishers aplenty and the Coffin Drop ends it on Luchasaurus! Absolutely perfect opener - no way for that to be any better for what it was and if you're in the building, you got Flair getting physical, Sting, and Christian vs. Edge for a bit.

"THIS IS STING'S LAST FUCKING TIME WRESTLING IN CALIFORNIA SO LET'S MAKE SOME FUCKING NOISE!" While Sting hugs his son. Incredible for so many reasons. FOLLOW THAT. Holy shit what a show this has been and it's only match one. Tony Schiavone and Bryce are on the ramp and announce that Jay White won't face MJF due to his injury, but ADAM COLE SAYS THAT HE WILL DEFEND IT and talked to TK about it. Okay well that is just a poor boss.

OC vs. Mox is already up!? Mox is out and just evokes being THE MAN while OC looks scared and Mox gives him good reason to by just beating the shit out of him to start things off. Taz puts over Hook and Mox's brief interaction in the tag match before we get OC fighting back and splitting Mox open while Nigel asks what the odds would be on Draft Kings for blood in this one. Mox lands a ton of elbows to the head after the hammer and anvils and then the Brock-style mounted elbows.

Bulldog choke is on! OC uses SHIBATA PK AND HOOK'S REDRUM! but a buckle shot ends it. Cutter and the Gotch piledriver get 2 for Mox! Mox eats a dropkick into the exposed buckle! THREE ORANGE PUNCHES AND A CRADLE GET 2! FOUR AND FIVE ORANGE PUNCHES! SIX INTO A BEACH BREAK! CASSIDY DOES IT - he is THE International Champion! Yuta bumps Hook afterwards to set up an FTW rivalry.

Mark Briscoe talks about having his continental breakfast, going to the building in his Lincoln Continental and winning the Continental Classic! Toni Storm vs. Shida is up with Luther earning his paycheck for years off just this act. Toni's chest is STILL beaten raw from last night's match with Sakura and Shida tries to chop her tits off! TONI FIGHTS BACK WITH MORE CHOPS in machine gun and Mongolian form.

Nigel talks about Toni saying the Chinese theater was nothing before she arrived and then told him to buy some war bonds - which popped me huge. Toni uses a shoe after GETTING ONE SHOE TAKEN AWAY and gets 2.9!  Shoes in wrestling remind me of Hogan only losing to Flair and Anderson due to Liz's shoe - which is its own kinda odd deal, then Tony Atlas' love of feet and then finally Konnan showing shoes at folks in the Impact Zone in 2004. QUESTION MARK KICK AND THE FALCON ARROW GET 2 FOR SHIDA! Meteora misses and Toni goes for an ankle lock! She gets a metal thing in her gear and that's setting up the assalanche for the finish and it hits and it's over!

Kingston announces that the Continental Classic and his titles are on the line alongside the Continental Title. TK is going to force Bryan to win not one, not two, but THREE TITLES in this run somehow dammit! Kingston says this will be a Triple Crown Title - which fits into his own story as a huge AJPW/NOAH guy. Tag title is up and LFI is over. Killer shot of Malakai looking at the gold before the match.

Malakai hits a crazy moonsault to the floor after landing a sick elbow to the ribs. MEAT WARFARE WITH BRODY KING AND BIG BILL GET A MEAT CHANT! RUSH epic dickhead never gets old. Starks runs wild with crazy shit and a super-fast tornado DDT to Cash. Starks is trying to outwork FTR AND RUSH AND IS SUCCEEDING! Good thing to do in a contract year. Brody King cannonballs Dax on the corner ladder and that looked worse for him than Dax. Drallistico hits a poison rana to Black! GANSO BOMB ON THE LADDER TO DRALLISTICO BY BRODY KING! CASH HITS A SHOOT WONKY STEP SPLASH TO BRODY KING ON THE FLOOR! Starks and Cash go back and forth on the ladder and a belt shot gives Starks and Bill a statement win!

Wow - the ROH World Title will be unified into the triple crown officially. Kinda surreal in a way, but fitting for a company so steeped in puro history. TBS Title is up and Julia Hart is HIM in this gimmick, while Skye Blue has a new theme and overall look and Kris...is Kris and moves great for having bad knees.

Kris dominates for a bit before Jula takes advantage over Skye before they eat a double suplex on the floor by Kris. Corner head-trap superkick from Skye to Julia leads to Kris hitting a bit lariat on Skye and a rotating fire thunder driver on Hart for 2! CODE BLUE OFF A TOMBSTONE ATTEMPT HITS KRIS FOR 2.9999!!! Code Blue 2 meets a superkick from Julia! HARTLESS but a DEADLIFT GERMAN FROM KRIS takes her out and then Skye too! TOMBSTONE TO SKYE AND A SLIDING LARIAT FROM JULIA STEALS THE WIN FOR A NEW TBS TITLEHOLDER! AEW really changed Julia Hart's life - she was nothing in wrestling before it, meets her future husband there, gets a killer main event-level gimmick and wins her first title on PPV.

Tony Schiavone, in front of a FIRE TONY SCHIAVONE sign, announces WILL OSPREAY AS THE BLOCKBUSTER SIGNING! PIPE DOWN BRUHS! Ospreay says he'll finish up in New Japan and seemingly debut full-time starting at Revolution and I AM ALL ELITE BRUH! BRUVS LISTEN I'VE BEEN WITH NEW JAPAN SINCE I WAS 22 AND I'M 30 NOW AND I'LL BE YOURS SOON. Tremendous.

PRINCE NANA AND THE SWERVE WHILE I DRIVE DANCERS ARE HERE! WHOSE HOUSE!? SWERVE'S HOUSE AND HANGMAN JUMPS HIM! Hangman cuffs him and stapleguns his chest! AND THEN HIS ARM! TWO STAPLES TO THE FACE INCLUDING A CARD! OH GOD! Page goes for a barb wire chair and eats a ball shot. HE TAKES MORE STAPLES AND THEN DOESN'T FEEL THEM BEFORE GRABBING THE STAPLE GUN AND STAPLING HIMSELF! HOLY SHIT THIS IS NEXT LEVEL!

Apron battle and a DEATH VALLEY BOMB ON A CINDER BLOCK ON THE APRON BY SWERVE! BOOT FROM SWERVE but Hangman gets a fallaway slam, but gets up weakly. Another one and then he wraps barb wire around the body and A THIRD FALLAWAY SLAM! ORIHARA MOONSAULT WITH A CHAIR TO THE FLOOR! Buckshot's avoided into a JML Driver which is countered into a chairshot attempt but a boot from Swerve! HANGMAN TOMBSTONE ON A BARB WIRE CHAIR!

NANA HELPS SWERVE UP AT 9! BARB WIRE CHAIR TO THE BACK HITS SWERVE! Avalanche dead eye is avoided and Swerve chairshots his back and he hits a LIGERBOMB ON THE CHAIR AND TEHN A SWERVE STOMP TO THE CHAIR! Hangman tries to rise and FALLS DOWN DUE TO THE BLOOD CAUSING HIM TO SLIP! SWERVE GETS A BAG OUT AND IT'S GLASS! 450 ON THE GLASS AND A JML DRIVER! THEY'RE UP AT 9!

Avalanche fallaway, poweromb on the wire and then a DEADEYE ON THE BARB WIRE BOARD! BARB WIRE BUCKSHOT HITS! NANA PULLS HIM OUT AT 9 AND BRIAN CAGE RUNS DOWN AND POWERBOMBS HIM THEN F5S HIM! Table is out with Cage and Page takes out Cage with barb wire before NANA CHAIRSHOTS PAGE! DEADEYE TO NANA THROUGH THE TABLE AT RINGSIDE! CINDER BLOCK REMNANTS TO PAGE'S HEAD FROM BEHIND BY SWERVE! Swerve hangs Hangman with a chain just like he did to Mox! WHAT A WAR!

Good cooldown stuff with the MJF recap. Crazy that KENNY OMEGA is in the cooldown match - that's how good Page vs. Swerve was. Kenny eats a dropkick and scolds Nick. Matt works with Jericho and seems unamused.  They changed the canvas, but there's so much blood that it's STILL THERE UNDERNEATH IT SEEPING THROUGH and the ropes are caked in blood still. TERMINATOR DIVE and Kenny can't get the You Can't Escape while Ex hypes up the Elite's Trios run. Jericho gets the bulldog in slow motion - must be keeping the Sega homage alive wrestling underwater like Dural. Nick low-blows JERICHO AND THEN KENNY! Nick Judas effect to Kenny gets 2. BTE TRIGGER HITS FOR 2!

Kenny teases turning on Jericho with a V Trigger, but hits the bucks and eats a reverse rana and ONE WINGED ANGEL FOR 2.9! INDYTAKER MEETS A CODEBREAKER! Ripcord V trigger and the OWA HITS! This got pretty good at the end, but I'll need to watch it afterwards on its own later - probably tomorrow because nothing can follow that death match. The Bucks tear apart ringside a bit and this was good and different from the death match, but weird in a way because it was hard to get into it.

Nigel says that Cole will do what he can, but JAY WHITE IS WINNING THE TITLE! It would be cool if we had months of Roddy Strong doing a fake injury angle to then lead to you believing in Adam Cole's injury being more damaging than it seemed to surprise you here. Cole does his pose as best he can and they're setting this up so oddly too - it's fascinating. They square off before Nigel says that they should have a last man standing match and MJF RETURNS IN AN AMBULANCE!

Jay chopblocks the left leg and DRAGON SCREWS THE LEG ON THE MAT! Okay. I love Jay White not only beating a one-legged man, but having TWO GOONS BEAT HIM UP just because he can. They do it again, but MJF beats the Gunns up. THIRD TIME THEY GET CAUGHT WITH A CHAIR AND YOU'RE OUTTA HERE'D! Jay takes the Lakers top off MJF and tosses it at Cole to piss him off and MJF fires up and tells him to FUCKING HIT ME YOU PIECE OF SHIT!

MJF DOES THE KANGAROO KICK AND COLE TELLS HIM TO DO A DIVE and Jay dropkicks him! Panama Sunrise attempt, but he hurts the leg and a uranage gets 2 for White! Jay wants a sleeper suplex and avoids it and gets sent outside. DDT on the floor for MJF! They go for the table and it just collapse and MJF wants a flying elbow and HITS IT and it actually seems so much more impressive without the table, but that's a lot worse for his hip.

MJF tosses him in at 8 to ensure the count is broken. Jay dragon screws him and ties him to a tree of woe to tear him up. Jay goes up and he sits up for a gargoyle suplex! AVALANCHE URANAGE GETS 2.9! Giant kneeling chop by Jay White! Snap flatliner by Jay hits before a release German! Cradles get 2 before MJF gets a tombstone, but his knee goes out! MJF double stomps the arm off the top and takes the leg out again. Jay avoids the heat seeker and sends him on the knee. MJF HITS AN INSANE SOARING CUTTER TO THE FLOOR FOR 2.9!

MJF slaps the knee and then brings the doc out. GROUNDED DRAGON SCREW AGAIN! Jay locks on a figure four and spits at Cole! Cole has a towel...of sorts in hand with the Lakers top and MJF begs him to not use it! 2.9 off the figure four! They play up MJF using a towel throw at the first Full Gear and now that possibly costing him the title. Cole goes to hit Jay with the ROH Tag belt and Jay grabs it and hits MJF for 2.9! Bryce is down and Cole puts the ring...near him and JAY TAKES OUT THE KNEE AND GRABS IT! MJF HITS HIM IN THE YAMBAG TO AVOID IT! Gunns are out and eat two ring shots and he KOs Jay with it as well! AND RETAINS! WOW! This was a different kind of great match and was far better than expected given the story going in, but it over-delivered.

MJF finally holds the title in his hands again fully! Cole and MJF leave together and tell more of their tale tonight. As a card, this was an all-timer and that's saying something by AEW standards. MJF is now the first year-long AEW World Champion ever.
