TNA Bound For Glory 2024

 

The pre-show has Ash and Heather by Elegance won a tag match with Xia and Brinley thanks to George being a goon and distracting for a spanish fly and somersult senton. Bob Ryder gets a Jarrett, Angle, Abyss, Storm, and Naturals video induction before EY inducts him formally. EY says that Bob had no blood family - but his holidays were spent at EY's house and EY considered him family. Kaz says he's the king, but Bob Ryder is the true king of TNA.

Dreamer inducts Rhino after a video that surprisingly doesn't use any WWE, WCW, or ECW footage despite all but WCW being referenced. Rhino thanks Heath and compares him to his brother that passed and Heath talked to his brother a ton and it put him at ease. Masha and Jordynne are shown arriving and we see the trophy for the Call Your Shot Gauntlet has the prior winners on it.

Kaz starts out with Wentz before Jame Something is out looking even more ripped. Trey is out to make it a pseudo-tag before Hammerstone clubbers down to take down Kaz. Rohit Raju returns and runs wild before Laredo Kid returns and is taken out by Hammerstone quickly. Trey is tossed by Hammerstone onto Laredo. Sami is out and takes out Hammerstone with a cutter. John Skyler is out and then Gujjer. Trent Seven is back for the first time in a while before KC Navarro is out and gives Sami a thumbs up and thumbs down before he eats a pop-up powerbomb. Okay that ruled.

RHINO is out and he takes out three guys. FOUR COUNTING SAMI! Tasha Steelz is out CUTTER TO KC! Lei Ying Lee is out to take out Tasha for Rhino after a twerk and takes her out. Hotch is out and hits a cave in on Trent. 305 by KC before Wentz takes him out. Leon Slater comes out and hits a bunch of cool shit! Kaz takes out Ying and Gresham is out. Trent is hiding under the ring skirt and JDC is out. SWANTON 450 BY SLATER and JDC throws him out. SEVEN STAR LARIAT to JDC! AJ Francis is out and looks fantastic - definitely down a good 20 or so pounds. He takes out Gresham before Trent works him over. DOWN PAYMENT CHOKESLAM TO THE APRON TO THE FLOOR FOR SEVEN!

Hotch is gone and Jake is almost taken out by a charge. AA ON THE APRON BY WENTZ TO JAKE TAKES HIM OUT. Jake helps take him out with AJ. AJ FRANCIS HITS A GORE TO RHINO for killer heat! RHINO CLOTHESLINES HIM OUT! It's down to Kaz and Rhino in a singles match. Kaz low blows Rhino and wins it - so he could leave with the title!

BFG starts off with a giant TNA chant - and that's what you want as a secondary brand. You want fans to be hot and excited. They've just had a couple of tiny audio problems - I love how they're going for the WWE-style sweeping shots of the city they're in. Really helps them look big time again. They put over Detroit as a city and this was a top 10 video package. Jade Chung brings out Vikingo and she's really finding her voice.

Bailey is out to a holy shit chant and this could steal the weekend. Tom puts over this is their biggest-grossing event in 2024 and the hottest ticket of the year. Bailey kneebar is met with a rope break. Vikingo planks in the buckle and DOES A BARRICADE-WALK RANA! 

Bailey shooting star is met with a green tea plunge for 2! STRAIGHTJACKET TRIANGLE CHOKE BY VIKINGO! VIKINGO HITS A TORNADO KICK TO COUNTER BAILEY'S ATTEMPT AT ONE! CHOPS AND SLAPS APLENTY! Crane kick by Bailey! Meteora by Bailey! Tornado kick and Ultima Weapon hit for 2.9! Flamingo Driver countered into a destroyer by Vikingo! ROPEWALK TORNILLO BY VIKINGO TO THE FLOOR! RINGPOST APRON DESTROYER BY VIKINGO!

Goddamn - this is incredible! AVALANCHE METEOR RAIN WINS IT FOR BAILEY! This was unreal - easily a five-star match can be argued there. Knockouts tag title is up with Wendy Choo and Rosemary facing Spitfire. 

AEW Rampage 10-25-24

 Shift was pretty tiring, but COD is out downloading now and I'm up - so what the heck, why not watch. UK, Gates of Agony and STP are in action. Sky high from Taylor to Bennett gets 2. UK wins it. Anna Jay is out to face Leila Grey, who gets a blockbuster and corner lariat and bulldog. However, Anna hits a corner high kick, iconoclasm and the Gori bomb ends it. BEEF vs. BEAST MORTOS is up! Mortos runs wild on BEEF. I love this match being rooted in the UK giving Mortos some deli beef and now they're giving him HUMAN BEEF! SUPLEX BATTLE leads to a counter by Beef, but he eats a headbutt! BEEF hits a blind dive crossbody! CORNER AVALANCHE AND A BULLDOG GET 2 FOR BEEF! Pop up Samoan Drop to BEEF gets 2 amid BEEF/BEAST chants. HELL HOLE hits for the win! THIS RULED! 

Renee chats with Harley, who is not amused by being defeated and then BEING PUNCHED BY ROSA like that's the only person who'd had that happen to! FRIGHT NIGHT DYNAMITE is hyped up! Ricochet vs. Nick Wayne is up and I love Daddy Magic pointing out how deep the talent pool is in AEW that Ricochet is struggling in the International scene. Oscutter attempt by Ricochet is met with a perfect Wayne cutter and then the butterfly destroyer for 2! Recoil and a running hidden blade-style forearm shot ends it! 

AEW Collision and Battle of the Belts 10-19-24

 

This is a pretty loaded lineup in terms of sheer talent - and it's a great weekend for wrestling with this and two nights of Maple Leaf Pro. Mox says nothing changed with the World title - it doesn't belong to anyone. And only one man has sat in that chair properly - me! Ricochet is out to face AR Fox in what should be a really good one. Cradle exchange leads to 2 counts for each. Standing SSP gets 2 for Ricochet. Spinning suplex for Fox and a killer dropkick and swandive to the floor! POETRY IN MOTION KICK BY FOX!

Fox runs wild on the floor and runs around the crowd to slap hands. AVALANCHE SPINNING NECKBREAKER by Ricochet! Package powerbomb by Fox gets 2! Backflip into a German for Ricochet gets 2! Fox 450 gets 2! V Trigger and axe kick by Ricochet! HE SPIKES HIM WITH VERTIGO AND ENDS IT! This ruled! Easy 4+ stars. He says the best wrestle here and he hasn't been pinned or submitted here yet and he wants Takeshita and they can go to Canada, Japan or Mexico and he'll wait for that title! 

Garcia and Private Party cut a passionate promo with Quen saying this company changed his life and he's going to take care of BCC next week. Born Again Kristen is out to face HARLEY CAMERON! Harley's out in leather and goes for a test of strength and lands an eye poke. Cradles get 2 before a rana gets 2. DEADLIFT GERMAN BY STAT! Discus lariat and Staturday Night Fever end it. This was a riot. She calls out Kamille and wants Mercedes to have a front row seat.

DG and PP are out to face the Premier Athletes - WHO DO NOT SUCK! PP hits a poetry in motion to Nese in the corner. Garcia shines brightly with Germans and 1-on-2 corner asswhoopings! SILLY STRING TO NESE! Gin and juice ends it! They dance with the fans on the barricade! LFI hype vid! OC is out to face Bulk Bronson! Orange Punch and it's over! Jamie Hayter is out to face Brooke Havok! Corner forearms by Hayter and Nigel says he likes Hayter's chances against everyone BUT MARIAH. Jamie hits a fallaway uranage...weirdly spiking herself and then Hayterade ends it thankfully!

Ford appears on the tron and says that in her last match, Jamie was her partner and she was the bitch and she was out for 2 years and Jamie never checked in on her. Jamie's out for a year and gets a parade - so she'll make sure everyone remembers her. Lexy Nair chats with DG and PP about the win and OC comes in and they want his help. They want him to lead them but they change him every time he's in the ring with him - he's not that guy. Atlantis Jr. is out to face Kyle Fletcher, out to avenge his ROH TV Title loss. 

Kawada kicks by Fletcher and he wants the Tiger Driver, but hesitates and gets locked in a wacky cradle for 2! APRON BRAINBUSTER TO ATLANTIS JR and then a sheer-drop brainbuster for 2.9! SLINGSHOT DESTROYER BY ATLANTIS! FROG SPLASH TO THE BACK! He wants another to the chest! KNEES UP! TOP ROPE BRAINBUSTER ENDS IT!

Brody King vs. Darby highlight reel sets up the House of Black facing a trio of incredible jobbers. They chase Buddy in but GETS BLINDSIDED BY THE HOB! Forearms, superplex, double stomp off the top and a trio attack in the corner end it. This was a riot! Rosa is backstage and says she's cleared before Harley interrupts and Harleys around before eating a forearm! 

THE OUTRUNNERS ARE OUT TO FACE LFI in Rush and Mortos! Mortos slaps Truth in the corner! TACKLE BY MORTOS INTO TRUTH with them facing off. DROPKICK BY TRUTH! SHOULDER-POST HEADSCISSORS! Rush slugs away at Truth and Nigel pitches 8-man tag titles for the FTRunners. TURBO GETS A TRIO OF SLAMS! Dralistico holds Turbo's foot down on a suplex to win it! LFI goes for a beatdown before FTR SAVES! 

Sammy hypes up a Shelton match for Dynamite with a photo of him with Shelton as a kid. Trios tag title is up to carry through to the BOTB show. Nigel says that Bryan is gone and someone needs to step up and avenge his name. Darius hits a bulldog into the rope to Wheeler before a gamenguri! Shotgun dropkick from Andretti with Darius German suplexing Pac! 450 gets 2 for Andretti! BUSAIKU KNEE BY YUTA ON THE FLOOR! Pac wins it with a TOMBSTONE!? Well that's a new one for him. And the match actually ends before Battle of the Belts!

They beat down the faces and MOX COMES OUT! Dark Order is out and takes a beating. Mox says they'll give the Dark Order a shot RIGHT NOW. Gutbuster and a sharpshooter by Claudio is locked on Reynolds with the hurt ribs and after a double stomp by Pac off the top, the sharpshooter ends it! This has been such a fun night! Yuta locks on Cattle Mutilation!  DG, OC, and Private Party make the save!

Okada vs. KOR is up! Kyle lands a flurry of kicks before Okada goes for an Eddie tope, but it's avoided and Kyle hits a knee to the gut and a legsweep! FORMER FOREARM SHOT BY KOR! KBEEBAR BY KOR INTO A GRAPEVINE VARIANT but an eye gouge allows an Okada escape. Okada gets locked in another one, but gets to the floor with a big DDT! Okada hits the diving elbow and the rainmaker pose bird! Rainmaker misses and the GODDAMN DROPKICK HITS! HANGING GIOLITTONE out of a rainmaker attempt! RAINMAKER HITS AND ENDS IT! Yet another fun match!

Anna Jay cuts a pre-taped promo on Mariah before Rush cuts a promo on all the other factions after beating up Hologram! Cage and Archer are out in all-black to the Callis theme.  I like Jon Cruz's chances here - far better odds than Serpentico, that's for sure. Jack Cartwheel is his partner here and Nigel says that Frank Frontroll is no longer here. Cage runs wild on Cartwheel before tormenting Cruz and Lance suplexes him down. Powerbomb/Chokeslam hits and a blackout/powerbomb ends it. THIS TEAM RULES!

THE GLAMOUR HAS ARRIVED! Anna dominates with a headlock to start. Corner uppercut by Mariah! Slap and a draping DDT by Mariah gets 2 after a queen slayer! ANNA TRAPS HER IN A CRADLE AND WINS IT! This was such a fun night of wrestling!

AEW Rampage 10-18-24

Mark Briscoe is out to face the Butcher, who runs wild with chops and a big running lariat. Suplex toss into a legdrop for 2 for the Butcher. Rolling DVD by Mark and the froggy bow but no! Haff nelson backbreaker and jackhammer get 2! Froggy bow countering a superplex wins it for Mark - Butcher is perfect in this role.

KOR is out for some Conglomeration entrance fun! KOR beats down Aaron Solo quickly. Hanging guillotine ends it. KOR calling out the champion - no "give me who you want, matchmakers!" bullshit! He wants it at Battle of the Belts BITCH! Jamie says that women here are backstabbing bitches and she's here to right wrongs and win her belt back! She wants a match tomorrow night. 

We get a darkly-lit backstage bit with Deonna and Taya witH Deonna saying she's been her brother's keeper and has always protected him. They're the Vendetta now. Mariah May insults Anna Jay's music saying it sounds like something's gone wrong at the circus. Anna Jay vs. Trish Adora is up. Mariah insults Anna for having a fat ass and bad attitude. 

Trish locks her up in a wacky submission and Anna vs. Mariah is hyped up for Battle of the Belts. Kneeling German by Trish gets 2. Backstabber into the Gori bomb wins it for Anna Jay! I see Anna winning the eliminator, losing the title match but eventually beating Mercedes for the TBS Title. Mariah - Anna, you should buy me dinner because at Battle of the Belts, you'll be on your knees crying, shaking, and screaming my name! Kris vs. Harley is up for tomorrow and Harley says that Saraya is IN CAPACIATION for as long as she will be. She sings, wrestles and does ventriloquism! SHE IS FACETED AND MULTI-FACETED AND SPEAKS CHINESE! 

Undisputed Kingdom promo cuts a great promo about winning a three-way tag and STP is here to rumble! Gates promo in a stairwell is right out of ECW. Private Party is out against MxM Collection! I like Tony framing this as a very important match to regain momentum after both teams lost at WrestleDream - makes wins and losses feel bigger. Rico is not cosmetically cleared according to Daddy Magic.

Mansoor locks in an AD BREAK CHINLOCK! Twist of Fate by Zay is turned into a Silly String attempt into a DVD by Mansoor for 2! Double-team elevated Double-arm DDT is up for MxM but SILLY STRING HITS! TWIST OF FATE BY ZAY! MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK ENDS IT!

WWE SmackDown 10-18-24 - MCMG Debut

 

We start off with a long Bloodline promo and Jey coming out in his slick white, pink and blue shirt and revamped IC - the best things about Jey's run. Solo warns Jey a bunch and he's annoyed by Jacob. Earlier on X, the Guns debuted backstage with Aldis. DIY, the Profits, and Pretty Deadly are up in the first triple threat tag match. Pretty Deadly eats a tower of doomsday blockbuster. The ref loudly yells that DIY won by being legal as Montez had a cover too. Tiffy is out of the tag match tonight, so Candice is her replacement...probably to job.

Piper misses a cannonball to Legend, who slams Niven. Inverted Samoan drop from Lash wins it. Cody is going to come out for the Crown Jewel title.  Backstage, Roman and Jimmy chat for a bit and Jimmy's going to acknowledge Solo. Cody is out and says what if the NWA Champion face the WWWF champion or the AWA Champion faced the NWA Champion. What if Goldberg faced Austin? The finishes of these dream matches did have iffy finishes - BUT NOT HERE, there will be a definitive Crown Jewel Champion! He says he came back for the Cena schedule and he's added dates to it. He invites Gunther to SD...which really shouldn't mean anything since Cody's just been showing up on Raw but okay.

KO video promo and Orton tells Aldis he wants him on Crown Jewel and Aldis says he can't make that match due to up above. A-Town Down is out so the MCMG is up after Los Garzas! Okay, they should have just gotten their TNA theme. This theme...ain't it. Corey hypes them up as your favorite tag teams' favorite tag team and they're three time TNA Tag champs. If they were going to just debut them on social media so you know what's going on, why not just air a highlight reel of them in TNA? THEY HAVE FOOTAGE OF THEM DESTROYING THE BUCKS TOO. Zero reason to not just do that.

The Garzas double-slam Shelley into the buckle. MCMG DDT/Neckbreaker with an enzuiguri by Sabin hit. Kaientai front chancery dropkick by MCMG! Splash/Neckbreaker combo ends it. This was... an okay debut, but not incredible. They did the best they could. Naomi and Bayley are out to face Nia and Candice. Indi attacks Bayley after she damn near pulls Candice's shorts off to throw her in and Nia is upset that Candice won.

Roman's out for a promo with Jimmy in theory here to acknowledge Solo. He wants to fix things and Solo tells him all he has to do is acknowledge him. He does, but it's not enough. He needs to be told he's the tribal chief and they bring out Jimmy all beaten up. Roman beats up the Bloodline and a superman punch to Solo. Roman gets the necklace and puts it on BUT SOLO BALLSHOTS HIM! Impaler DDT to Roman from Jacob! Two spikes by Solo. 

AEW Dynamite 10-16-24 - The Post-Danielson Era Begins

 

Mox says the dream for him is for all 150 wrestlers to have a land of opportunity. He cuts this killer promo in a truck rolling down the road with a filmic look saying he'll burn down the forest to plant a new one. Stand down while ya can and get out of the way! Cole says he loves the Kingdom but he needs to do this on his own now due to MJF. MJF has terrorized the company for 5 years and he's fake - "It took two surgeries - but it's on his head, right!" He hates Max and everything about him and he wants to fight him in San Jose! 

MJF is in a cool lair and says in a decade, he's become a millionaire and learning the hard way that there's no such thing as trust in wrestling. Cole left him with a void and he's not going to give him the satisfaction of facing him. Jericho post-match promo says that he has had a great week thanks to Fozzy and Terrifier 3 BUT MARK BRISCOE CHEATED! But he'll get a rematch and become a two-time ROH Champion LIKE JAY BRISCOE. Mark responds and says that Jericho says a lot of dumb things - but he can't allow him to keep saying his brother's name. LADDER WAR NEXT WEEK! He cuts an FTR promo for them about whoopin that ass!

Brawling to start and a stinger splash by Bill is avoided. Shatter Machine is avoided by Bill just becoming a tree and not going up before a Keith diamond dust hits. Shatter machine to Keith ends it! LFI looks on backstage and the FTRunners celebrate. Daddy Ass is with the Acclaimed and has a workout session planned DURING THE SHOW. MVP gives them a Hurt Syndicate card 

Mone vs. Amanita is up and Aminita rubs her ass in her hair during a cradle to mock her. Fallaway slam by Aminata. Wonky air raid crash hits for 2 for Aminata. Stream goes wonky and when it comes back, Mone won it. Okay then. PP-Bucks recap and it makes the challengers look good. Backstage, the Bucks say they aren't a mid-card act and THEY KICKED OUT OF AN EVP TRIGGER! The Bucks say tehy're done with shots. Stokely - YOU'VE BEEN HERE SINCE THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION AND WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SHOW FOR IT!? Ouch. 

Jack Perry leads a birthday celebration with the rest of the Elite and he says Kenny has 20 feet of intestines removed after they took him out and they throw raw meat on a steak. Well that was gross. Orange, Romero, and KOR are out to face Okada and The Bucks.  OC and KOR get a nice high-low on Okada after a bird-flip counter to a sunset flip. YUTA BUSAIKU KNEES OC and the BCC runs wild and the Elite leave. Top Flight gets maimed! Nice save by Daniel Garcia.

Perry stands up to Garcia backstage and we might be getting them for the TNT or PP and DC for the trios. Lio vs. Shelton is up and they hype him up as an all-time athlete...and he's like 50 now... Lio creates a bunch of movement but eats a kick on a low-pe and an overhead belly to belly on the floor. Big forearm shiver by Shelton before a bottom-rope snap stunner by Lio. Lowpe hits after a flurry of offense! FLYING CUTTER BY LIO! Dragon whip counter to avoid the frog splash. Big tornadoS DDT for Lio and he sends him to Suplex City! Flapjack flatliner hits and a t-bone powerslam ends it. 

Ex says they haven't been able to reach Darby since the PPV. Darby hypes up Tony being a Pro Grandpa. Swerve says that MVP's max is his minimum and he's not impressed by Shelton beating Lio, but he'll face him at some point. He set records - but he has records in bones. Don Callis Family is out with Brian Cage in tow.

He wants the tag titles and he'll get them with Cage and Archer and he's got Fletcher and Takeshita! He cuts a promo on those wanting his belt. COME AND TAKE IT! Fletcher is in the silliest outfit on Earth and doesn't offer an explanation BECAUSE THE FANS WON'T SHUT UP!

Mariah insults the presser folks for playing pocket pool instead of asking her questions. SHE WANTS SOMEONE TO FACE HER AND SHE'LL RIP THEIR HEADS OFF! Anna Jay steps up - now that will be great. AND SHE HITS DANIELS accidentally. At FRIGHT NIGHT DYNAMITE, Shelton faces Swerve. Ricochet says he hasn't been pinned in AEW and he still wants Takeshita since he cost him the International Title twice!

BCC beats down the Dark Order and we get a Dark Order-BCC parking lot challenge for Collision! Cage vs. White is up and White gets a Muta lock! Rush and Mortos vs. The Outrunners, Fletcher vs. Atlantis Jr. and The Elite face DG and Private Party on Dynamite. MASSIVE backdrop from White and Cage lands on his hip. Jay puts the turtleneck over his head and hockey fight chops him and gets a DDT for 2! Falling inverted DDT ON THE APRON BY CAGE! 

Second rope sunset flip cradle gets 2 for White. Hangman is out with Kip Sabian! Bladerunner BUT THE EYES ARE RAKED INTO A KILLSWITCH FOR 2.9! DOOMSDAY SAITO BY JAY WHITE! BUCKSHOT TO JAY WHITE AND CAGE WINS IT! Love it!
