AEW Dynamite 5-8-25 - Mystery Vortex and Cole vs. Fletcher

 

Until like 5PM, it was a mystery vortex show but now we have a title match! We get crowd shots and BOTCHAMANIA ANNOUNCER CASTS before Hanger is out and cuts a promo about things getting better. He hands the Owen belt over to Tony and says he's claiming the World title at ALL IN in 7 weeks and Swerve is out and he plays the clip of the Bucks costing him the title from April. Ospreay is out to end their bitching. Ospreay tells Swerve he's wrong about Hangman and they all need to work together to win it.  

Mox, Marina and Kidd are out to face Willow, Speedball and Briscoe! Marina chucks Bailey around! Froggy bow on Kidd gets 2! Claudio distracts Mark and KOMANDO ROPEWALK DIVES ONTO HIM! Pardaigm into the crossface and then Mother's milk by Marina ends it via stoppage! MJF Hurt Business hype vid airs and Anna Jay's fat ass and Harley face Megan and Ford next. Ricochet says he's looked at the company and he needs a crew - AHA! Megan glam slams Harley onto the steps and breaks her nose BUT KEEPS FIGHTING! Anna hits a Gori bomb onto a chair IN EL PASO and..Megan kinda breaks it up sorta at 2.9. F5 on the chair for Anna! HARLEY SAVES! DOOMSDAY DEVICE WINS IT for the heels. 

Mercedes arrives IN AN EDDIE LOWRIDER! The Opps are here! The Frat House is out and they send all their geeks in for spinebusters! Hobbs wins it! Fletcher vs. Cole is up! Hayter is here and THE LIGHTS ARE OUT FOR THEKLA! MISTICO HYPE VID! Cole vs. Fletcher is ruined after the Sunrise by Josh who interferes for a DQ. Brody makes a save and it's time for King vs. Josh, which is a stiff match that ends with the Ganso bomb. Mone is out after Fletcher bitches out the Family. Mercedes heels up and Toni says you came here to wrestle me - but what took so long? PATIENCE! Toni says SHE'S THE TONI STORM OF PRO WRESTLING and Mercedes says she's more than a boss now, she's a CEO. Toni says that they are HERE to be who they were meant to be AND SHE HAS DIED FOR THIS TITLE! 

WWE SNME 5-24-25 - Jey vs. Logan Paul, Cena's Final Network TV Match

 

John Cena wrestles his final network TV match here and Logan Paul gets his PPV-level World Title shot - so it's a pretty loaded lineup. Jesse is out with Joe Tessitore and in a Hendrix shirt and Malcom X hat - pretty timeless fashion even 40 years later. Jey is in the Hogan graphic slot and the tag match opens up and a CM Punk chant starts THE SECOND the heels are in-ring and never ends until he gets in there. Even going through Sami's intro. Leaping inverted Steiner bulldog by Bron to Sami over the announce table. 

BRON PUSHUPS! I love how much of Scott Steiner's act Rick's son took - while actually still working in a good amount of his dad's stuff too. Punk hits a Code Red for 2. Punk and Sami have gear for Palestine here. Arabian moonsault by Sami! BRONSON REED IS THE THIRD MAN IN THE DANGEROUS ALLIANCE AND tackles Punk and Sami eats a spear to end it! Cole calls them a very dangerous coalition which is just so stupid when they own DANGEROUS ALLIANCE! TSUNAMI TO PUNK!

Chelsea Green cuts a promo backstage with a cold for her US Title match. Sunset bomb to the floor for Chelsea gets 2. I never got anyone knocking Rey for his size because he wrestled like no one else - but Zelina looks like she's four foot nothing and super-tiny and works like every other woman doing WWE mid-card style from 15 years ago.  Sliding..sorta flatliner facebuster thing gets 2 for Chelsea. Chelsea misses a run-up pump slash and a clothesline gets 2. Shitty 619 misses largely and still busts Chelsea up. Avalanche Code Red won it and Chelsea made it look great and Zelina got zero pop. Wow. Cena vs. Truth is up.

Vikingo vs. Gable is announced for Worlds Collide and WE GET VIKINGO AND AAA ON NBC! WE COULD GET NINO HAMBUGUESA ON NBC! Cena heel recap before the Truth match. The second UP NEXT graphic is up... This orange and red kit is fucking terrible - let alone for Cena's retirement run. The purple and yellow and red, white and blue stuff was a trillion times better. RON CENA is out in throwback-ish Cena gear too.

Cena jumps him with a lariat and punches before a protoplex and five knuckle shuffle. TRUTH HITS THE BABYFACE COMEBACK FOR CENA! AND THE FIVE KNUCKLE SHUFFLE! TRUTH HITS AN AA AND GETS 2! STF BY TRUTH! Cena grabs the belt and uses the ref taking it away to low blow Truth and AA him for the win. This was fun.  BELT SHOT after the match. Drew vs. Priest is up and the finale.

Cena says that Cena will take his title home and LOGAN PAUL WILL TAKE JEY'S TITLE TONIGHT! Jesse is shown in '86 going from the booth to the ring and winning and then spending WAY too long burying Pat for doing it and losing while Lilian is doing intros. Drew jumps him and brings a chair in before Drew eats an elevated flatiner that is barely sold. Drew misses a corner claymore and a conchairto hits and Priest leaves to really win it. THE US EXPRESSIS SHOWN!

Jey comes out through the crowd and Logan has batsuit abs now. Logan goes for the Omega forward roll>moonsault combo and is met with knees to the gut. Buckshot meets a superkick for 2. "FUCK YOU LOGAN" chant and Cena attacks Jey after the splash. Cody attacks Cena and Cena takes THE WORST BUMP EVER FOR THE CROSS RHODES! And then the splash hits and Jey wins it and somehow that wasn't a DQ and now Ccody has the mic and steals all of Jey's thunder and makes Jey and Cody vs. Cena and Logan for MITB. OG ALL IN rushing there.

AEW Dynamite 5-21-26

 

Tony hosts a chat between Ospreay and Hangman and Ospreay wants their match as the main event. He talks about 15 hour flights and not sleeping on Tuesday and he is ready every Wednesday to wear that belt with pride and bring it home to the O2 in August. Hanger says he's had it and that's the difference. For 2 years, he's been filled with sorrow and pain and he hasn't won anything but one thing and he felt nothing. He got something for his son and he saw his father looking out a window looking for something that wouldn't come back. He needs the people who supported him when he didn't feel he deserved it and he needs it for himself and he needs to know that there can be light at the end of the tunnel. Ospreay tells him that kids don't look up to you anymore and the boys lost respect for you and his best has beaten everyone else and he's got his back if he ever needs it. 

Mox and Marina arrive and say the victor gets the spoils and it's all-star trios time with Mox and the Bucks against Joe, Swerve, and Hobbs. Matt dives onto Joe but an ST-Joe takes out Nick and the powerslam gets 2 on Matt. EVP trigger misses and Swerve cradles to win before A BRAWL! Shibata boots Yutes! OWA off the apron is teased, so we'll get that Sunday. Max is shown in a Ric Flair suit before coming out for the Hurt Syndicate induction. MJF joins up after EVERYONE HAS TO SIGN THE CONTRACT TOO! Dustin interrupts before they challenge on Sunday. Dustin dares them to jump him and says there's nothing bigger monsters haven't done to them. 

Okada and no hair dye says that Speedball is being called out BY HIM NOW and he'll beat him at DON. Bowens vs. Ricochet is set up as a battle of the scissors. Inverted DVD gets 2 for Bowens. SCISSORS TO THE HEAD OF BOWENS thanks to a Billy Gunn distraction off trying to throw Ricochet in and the spirit gun wins it. SHOW SOME LOVE! Hayter and Mercedes are mid-ring for their debate and they brawl. Julia vs. Mina is up with TIMELESS TONI STORM on commentary. SHE STILL HAS THE BIGGEST PACKAGE and Mina hits a run-up knee strike to the chest. Julia gets a tarantula briefly and Toni buries Mina's theme last week. 

Crucifix bomb gets 2 for Mina and Julia's heel trip sets up a moonsault and an evasion with a knee attack and a cradle got 2 for Hart. Rolling elbow and a backfist and Mina has the edge again and Julia roll into a Rings of Saturn before Mina seatbelt cradles her for the win.  Mina gets a figure 4 but SKYE BLUE SUPERKICKS MINA! Mina and Toni brawl and Mina gets the ringpost figure 4! Collision is hyped and the Bucks leave before saying that NOTHING HAS HAPPENED AND NOTHING WILL HAPPEN before Hobbs and Joe jump them. EVP TRIGGER TO KENNY! V TRIGGER HOUSE CALL BEFORE GABE ATTACKS JOE! And now Omega!

WWE Raw 5-19-25 - HAPPY MAY 19

 Kairi returns! But first, Logan Paul is out and I'm really tired and just not in the mood to deal with him. GUNTHER GETS A WORLD TITLE SHOT IN PHOENIX and Gunther admits that Logan has skills he can learn, but IF LOGAN PAUL BEATS JEY USO, HE WILL BE DISPRESPECTED AND ASK PAT HOW I FEEL ABOUT BEING DISRESPECTED BY A NON-WRESTLER AND PAT AT LEAST HAD A HEART! Jey attacks Logan and meets with Heyman after Penta's entrance. Penta and AJ against Finn and JD. 

Carly cheapshots Penta over the ropes to earn his paycheck. Calf slicer and JD dives ONTO FINN ACCIDENTALLY SOMEHOW to break it up. Sacrifice to Finn and Finn gets a victory roll for 2. AJ forearms Carly and Penta hits a destroyer on the floor. Grande hits a headbutt and Balor wins it! Becky vs. Nattie vs. Roxanne is up. This double sharpshooter is somehow dumber than both the other double sharpshooter and the double pop rox. Lyra jumps Becky and Becky loses to the Pop Rox. Wow the valiant heel couldn't overcome the odds.

Sheamus is out BUT FIRST WE GET BACKSTAGE STUFF with Tozawa vs. Otis being set up and New Day in a triple threat tag next week. So many things happened between the entrances and the match that I FORGOT SHEAMUS VS. WALLER WAS THE MATCH. Jesus. 

Rhea vs. Zoey vs. Kairi is up and Zoey blows her leg out doing the sniper dropkick! That's a bad one too - she's screaming. Rhea hits a fallaway on Kairi for 2. Prism lock to Kairi! Kairi hits a corner forearm and misses a missile dropkick in some weird way for Rhea to make it almost look like offense for 2. Clonking-style headbutt from Rhea and Riptide ends it. RUSEV IS GOING TO CRUSH. Bron vs. Jey is up. Finn brings Roxanne into the clubhouse for some "help". She gives Dom tendies and Carlito an apple and he's like actually enjoying it. Jey vs. Breakker. is up and Bron hits his inverted Steiner bulldog to the table before eating a nasty landing on his left hip off the pop-up Samoan drop. BREAKKENSTEINER gets 2. Jey eats a beatdown and Sami saves alongside Punk.  A walk and brawl during an HHH graphic and Logan lays out Jey, still with Paul's mouth bleeding.

AEW Collision 5-17- Beach Break

 

This isn't a totally loaded show, but it's got some big stuff including a Mongo tribute. Megan Bayne w/ Penelope Ford vs. Anna Jay w/ Her Fat Ass and Harley starts the show. Megan runs wild and Tony shouts out JR and his cancer diagnosis. Anna eats a bearhug but avoids an apron senton. Anna avoids the F5 with elbows and Anna low-bridges her over. Anna hits a blockbuster but Bayne gets a falcon arrow due to Anna wanting a suplex and that gets 2 - nice spot. Anna turns the F5 into a DDT for 2. Penelope removes the buckle pad and brawls with Ford before a dropkick and schoolboy using the buckle gets 2 for Jay. Electric chair powerbomb into a second powerbomb-position into an F5 wins it - this was way better than expected. 

Nigel chats about things getting out of hand with FTR and he needs to get in the ring to end things with FTR at Double or Nothing. Fletcher's entrance gear having a Tana-esque belt hole is great. Fletcher vs. AR Fox is up. Helluva kick STARTS for Fletcher. ​God, Fletcher is just IN HIS ZONE right now - he really needs to be the guy who beats Omega for the International title. Shadow stomp on Fletcher on the apron and a tope con hilo to the floor! POWERSLAM-STYLE MICHINOKU DRIVER GETS 2.5 FOR FLETCHER - okay that rules! Helluva hits and a brainbuster is turned into a Fox cradle for 2. GAMENGURI ON THE ROPE AND THEN ONE TO THE NECK! SHEER DROP BRAINBUSTER ENDS IT! This ruled! 

OSPREAY'S GONNA WIN WHETHER HE WANTS TO OR NOT vibes from this Hanger-Ospreay video. RPG Vice and Archer are out to face Brody King, Ishii, and Bandido. Ishii just runs wild with forearms before BRODY AND ARCHER HOSS FIGHT! Brody chops Lance into a chair but the bodyblock is prevented by a Trent Busaiku knee!  Draping suplex and a kneeling Busaiku from Trent gets 2. Don wants the JAKYL DRIVER. Corner cannonball to Rock ends it. OUTRUNNERS ARE HERE WITH SOME BABYFACE FIRE! GYV bitches about the Paragon to their faces. 

Blake Christian's tron would make a fun wallpaper and I love his '80s World Class mid-carder robe. Him versus Bailey should be fun. Speedball is out in his red and gold gear - his best looking stuff by far. Moonsault fallaway slam hits to START THE MATCH for Speedball before a basement moonsault and rapid-fire kicks. VADER BOMB KNEEDROP HITS! Corkscrew kick wins it. Anarchy hype vid airs. 

AEW Dynamite 5-14-25 - Beach Break

 

Pyro and the new intro start thing off before Ospreay and Hangman face off with the DCF's Josh Alexander and Takeshita. Quick action from the faces while the heels tear down the bodies a bit and Josh gets an ankle lock on Hanger. Hanger wins it and the faces get beaten down. Top Flight gets a pep talk from Dustin and IT'S TIME TO SHOW SOME LOVE FOR RICOCHET! Ricochet IS OUTFOXED AND RUNS IN FEAR FROM A ONE-LEGGED MAN, who lands a nice plancha.  Springboard 450 gets 2 for Ricochet. SSP GETS 2! VERTIGO HITS FOR 2.5! Gowen moonsault misses and the Spirit Gun BARELY WINS IT! PERFECT!

Hurt Syndicate chats with Renee and MJF, with Bob in a GIANT THUMBS DOWN SHIRT. Syndicate vs. Top Flight is up. Shelton takes Darius to suplex city. Hurt Lock ends it for Dante and Dustin saves. Dustin calls BOB an asshole. They want the AEW Tag gold as does CRU and MVP makes those 2 teams face off for Collision and the winners get a shot at DON. MVP tells him his reckoning is coming and MJF is scared shitless. MJF lets Bob know he can loan him his scarf and MJF IS IN! 

Toni Storm vs. AZM vs. Mina, who is in with a new AEW theme that sucks vs. a returning Skye Blue who eats some offense before Mina and Toni forearm exchange off. AZM hits a PK and a crossbody after a figure 4 and a cooter booter from Toni. HIP ATTACKSAPLENTY! BIG PACKAGE IS ON MINA, but it's turned over and MINA WINS IT! AND SHE GETS HER STARDOM THEME BACK TOO! Mone jumps AZM and Hayter saves and a fan grabs Mercedes and...yeah don't do that. Taz tears up praising Sabu in his tribute. MJF introduces MVP to HIS LAWYER MARK STERLING! 

Tony and Nigel chat mid-ring and Nigel apologizes and brings Danny out and Stokely pitches FTR vs. theme and Danny puts Nigel over huge. They get beaten up until A WILD DADDY MAGIC APPEARS with a crowbar for a save. Joe vs. Mox is up and Mox eats a beating and a corner headbutt before Mox gets a figure 4. Mox gets sliced to fuck and the bulldog choke is on Joe! Joe escapes and the Paradigm Shift gets 2.9! Someone passes Mox the case and he wins it! IT'S GABE KIDD! Matthew and Nicholas are out with Kidd as their gift.

Okada with a liver shot! Omega is out and Joe and him are trapped in the cage. War Games is being set up nicely. That cage is in SWERVE'S HOUSE! Anarchy in the Arena is set up for the PPV!

WWE Raw 5-12-25

 

Sabu gets a blink and you miss it graphic. AJ vs. Finn is hyped up and Jey vs. Seth is recapped. Punk is out and he calls out Heyman and they bicker before Seth bickers too. Penta vs Gable is up and Penta hits the destroyer off a sunrise setup to win it. Pat vs.Gunther recap. New Day is out to do commentary for the War Raiders vs. the Creeds. BUT BEFORE THAT CAN HAPPEN, we chat with Sami and Punk about SNME. Creeds win by being hoss motherfuckers and using the Brutus ball. Jey's out and Gunther interrupts. 

WWE Backlash 2025

A killer song performance starts before the US Title 4 way. It's an all-action match with big moves and a seated superplex by Drew before a claymore and a pair of future shocks. Claymore to LA and Priest pulls the ref out at 2. South of Heaven off a balcony through a floor table! Cobb runs in and Fatu gets the BME win. Lyra vs. Becky is up and Lyra gets a bunch of submissions to start including a rocking horse and surfboard until Becky exploders who way to dominance. A Lyra delayed superplex helps her a for a bit before a manhandle slam gets 2. Becky takes a chair and uses it to distract Carr with a buckle pad removal too and that allows the Night Wing to only gets 2. Eye poke is taken by Lyra and a weird cradle gets the win for Lyra. Penta vs. Dom is up and we get a 205 Live chinlock from Dom. Grande headbutt and a frog splash wins it for Dom. 

Gunther vs. Pat is a short brawling affair. Gunther and Pat each have dad bods and they're laying it in. Cole helps Pat with a suplex leg holding spot but GUNTHER CHOKES OUT PAT and wins it. Main event time and they do nothing slowly. Chinlock. Finishers. Orton does an AA through a table on the floor with no ref. RKO but no ref and it gets 2. Ref eats it off a Cena belt shot and Aldis and goons eat RKOs. Truth begs Orton and eats an RKO. Belt shot ends it. The show ends and then just goes right back. 

AEW Dynamite 5-7-25

 

New theme for Dynamite and it starts off with Hanger! He asks why they cheer for him but he appreciates it. He hoped to feel closure in the cage, but he felt nothing. The fans ask why and he says he doesn't know why. He got no closure and lashed out at others and calls out Swerve. Ospreay comes out and marks out for the Hangman era of the Dark Order but he lost his way but NOW HE HAS HIS SMILE BACK. But this year isn't about Hangman's redemption - it's about his ascension! The DCF interrupts and Ospreay wants them to bring 2 out to face them. That's up for Beach Break next week. 

Stokely insults Tony and talks shit to him with FTR and he insults Tony and calls him a pasty piece of shit before getting slapped around. Anna and Harley are now bosom buddies and Harley says she brings the T and Anna brings the A and she'll have her big ass with both hands. Toni takes a box shot and they eat a tornillo from Rosa. Toni kicks Ford low and wins with the crossface chickenwing. ThunderTits gets along - so that won't go well. 

Cru comes out before THEY HURT PEOPLE rings out. MVP wants the best and Top Flight is out and MJF hurts them to a WE HURT PEOPLE chant before slamming a back on the apron. Lashley tells him he'll update him next week. Bucks and Ricochet are backstage and he tells them to follow his head to win it. Nick Wayne's intro is interrupted by Cage before he faces Rhino and the Killswitch hits and wins it for Nick. Cage teases him with the belt and throws it down. Sammy's win on Collision is shown. Trios tag is up and we get a chicken fight rana with Bailey on Swerve's shoulders and hitting a rana on Ricochet - WHO WAS NOT SHOWN LOVE! This is just an insane party match and Bailey hits the orihara moonsault! THE BUCKS WIN IT OVER SWERVE!

Renee interviews Jamie Hayter looking like Daphne from Scooby Doo and says she has GRIT and truth and Mercedes brawls with her backstage. Stat and Willow shake hands and make up. Okada vs. Kevin Knight is up! BUCKS JUMP KNIGHT! FLAPJACK TO KNIGHT! Rana off the top! FALLING ELBOW BY OKADA! SERIES OF RAINMAKERS and Bailey saves. Claudio walks out in YET ANOTHER COOL VENUE doing his intro before Joe just terrifies and plays an invisible violin to "Joe's gonna kill you"

STJOE ON THE FLOOR! Brawl time and the Death Riders are countered by Hobbs! CHAIRSHOT TO CLAUDIO BY HOBBS that the director misses. 

WWE Raw 5-5-25

 Recap of the Sami saga from last week airs. Folks arrive and Jey yeets for a bit. Jey and Heyman bicker about loyalty and Heyman's called an asshole by the crowd. Bron is hyped up by Heyman and Penta beats up JD and Carlito. Destroyer wins it and A-Town Down Under is very homoerotic backstage and AT faces Sheamuo. Brogue ends it and the JD argues before AJ puts himself into the IC mix and calls Finn PRINCE. Chad chats with New Day and Becky walks through. Becky talks about Bayley being garbage and saying it a trillion times and calls Lyra recycling and they bicker and banter and fight. Nightwing hits and that seems to set up Becky winning.

Roxanne Perez and her babyface theme are out for this heel against Iyo, who is over huge thanks to WM. Roxanne dragon screws her in the rope before an avalanche armdrag from Iyo. Weird yes lock facebuster by Roxanne gets 2 before a ton of cradles back and forth result in Iyo winning - good stuff here! Giulia jumps Iyo! Rusev vs. Otis is up for a meat division match and Ruxev hits a spinning wheel kick. Machka kick and the Accolade wins it. He beats up Tozawa and then Accolades Otis more. They should lose their phones. Pearce moderates Pat vs. Gunther now and Pat calls him an asshole who doesn't care as much as he did when he was just WALTERing around. 

Seth vs. Jey is up for the world title and Seth carries him with big moves before Sami breaks out Bron's face and attacks. Spear and Uso splash get 2.9 for Jey! SAMI EATS A SPEAR ON THE FLOOR! BREAKKER WITH A SPEAR ON JEY! Stomp but HERE'S PUNK! Chairshots for everyone! Great DQ finish!
