AAA Conquista Total 7-18-19

Missed the first match, but the second has Golden Magic and Lady Shani facing La Hiedra and Villano III Jr. Villano uses Batista's theme and Shani and Hiedra chop the daylights out of each other. Magic lands a wacky double-leap up rana off the rope to Villano Jr before Shani gets tossed into the front row. After what happened to Scarlett, maybe don't throw a woman right into the front row. Shani throws Hiedra into the crowd and her foot smacks a woman in the face. Villano lands a spinebuster Villano goes for a destroyer on the ramp, but gets backdropped by Magic. Magic lands a springboard tornillo to the floor and Hiedra gets 2 off a wacky submission before Magic stomps her and knocks her down with a piledriver before Magic dives onto her accidentally with a legdrop to break it up.

Magic lands a neckbreaker variant on the stormbreaker to get 2.9! Villano lands a powerbomb off the apron ON THE APRON. Jesus. Slingshot DDT by Shani to Jr and a German suplex cradle gets the win, but Villano is under the rope and grabbing the rope. But fuck the rules, that ends it. Dave the Clown's portable smoke machine is cool, but that shit looks like it would suck in a closed-air building.

Dave the Clown, Chika Tormenta, and Tessa Blanchard face Nino Harmburuesa, Faby Apache, and Taya. Hijo del Tirantes is the ref, so his will be fantastic. Dave and the heels work over Taya before Tirantes prevents Faby from diving. God I wish a ref would just do that on Raw to stop Seth from diving 3 times in a row. Heels get stacked in the corner for a Nino cannonball. Faby leads the crowd in a chant for Tirantes, and I'm sure it's just full of language that is pro-Tirantes. Nino works iwth Hiedra and takes her down before Dave dropkicks him down.

Dave tosses Faby down, but she gets him in an armbar until Tormenta kicks her. Nino counters a Dave sunset flip with a crossbody. A falling sofa splash hits and only gets 2 due to a slow count and Tormenta. Faby works spots with Tirantes Road to Valhala by Taya, but a slow count gets 2. Tessa's hammerlock DDT hits and gets a fast count win.

Eterno, Chessman, and Averno face Aerostar, Laredo Kid, and Puma King. Laredo lands a giant wacky DDT off the ropes onto Chessman. 619 on the post from Aerostar to Averno. Run-up kick from Aero to Averno and the faces get 2 off a triple cradle. Heels get 2 off a triple pin. Puma King wins, but due to the Amazon ad break, I missed the finish. And then Monster Clown jumps them all anyway and then he suplexes Aerostar on the ramp.

"WE GOT OUR TIME GUYS IN ENGLISH HERE!" Goddamn, I'd hate to see the B-team. TripleMania is hyped up with Cain Velasquez's debut hyping him up as the man who beat Brock and won the UFC title. Daga and Taurus face Cody and MJF. Daga has never worked for me, but him as El Jeffe and in red leather actually makes him look like a star. MJF heels it up until Cody lifts a kid up and then he's a big fan of the kid. MJF as a fake babyface around Cody is the best thing since Luger doing that with Sting in '96. MJF politely asks that the fans suck his dick.

Cody works with Daga to start and there's a gulf of quality between them - and Daga's good. Taurus and MJF is a goofy style mismatch, but sorta works. MJF asks for Taurus to charge before just pulling him down by the hair. MJF rides him and goes to the floor only to eat a dive from Daga. Cody hits a flying plancha on them - which isn't normally seen from him. Daga hits Cody's back with a chair and Van Daminatres MJF. Cody gets crotched.

MJF pokes the eye and fouls Daga. Draping dakr matter from Cody leads to the rope-assisted piledriver from MJF. Cody hits Daga on the back with the chair on the ramp. Taurus throw Cody into the crowd before Daga lands a butterfly codebreaker and Taurus pins MJF! Cody fouls Taurus and lands Cross Rhodes on Daga. Mercenarios jump Cody. They all attack Cody and Taurus grinds his knee into his face - good stuff! Cody shields MJF's body from more attacks. Oh how cute!

Wagner Jr, Pentagon Jr, and Psycho Clown face off with Blue Demon Jr, Rey Escorpion,a nd Texano Jr with the first man of each team allowing for another preview of TripleMania's main event in two weeks.Wagner's out as a leather granddaddy. SHOCKINGLY, the match begins with a brawl and Wagner's bleeding a minute in. He gets beaten down in a 3-on-1 and the beard shows bloodshed perfectly.

A guy in a red shirt gets in the way of Wagner and Demon doing spots on the ramp, which to be fair IS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CROWD. Wagner splits open Demon while Fenix and Psycho Clown do shit in the crowd. Kneeling superkick from Pentagon to Escorpion. Psycho lands a big rana to Escorpion before Penta dives on everyone. Wagner beats Demon with a Wagner Driver! So he's getting a haircut in two weeks.

Heel beatdown leads to Cody coming down and I miss what he does due to an ad break. Cody and Wagner shake hands as the ring is littered in soda. Demon stares down Wagner and then Wagner basks in his victory. He cuts a promo and despite not knowing Spanish, his loud, gravely voice induces pants-shitting fear.

Extreme Rules 2019

We get some in-ring action at 6:20 with Nakamura vs. Balor for the IC Title, which should be about as good a match as Nakamura has now. Nakamura's black, red, and silver getup looks outstanding. Final cut hits and Finn lays him out with a flip dive, but gets crotched after an ad break. Kinshasa hits and Nakamura wins it! This was super-short, but fun while it lasted.

Nese is out to regain his title, with Gulak still looking doughy like he was at the EVOLVE show. No Catch Point robe for Gulak though. Gulak jumps him and slugs away. Nese cartwheels off the apron and Gulak takes him out with a stiff lariat off the apron which gets 2. Nese lands a 450 knees-first and gets 2. Nese goes for an Omori driver, but Gulak grabs him and nixes it. After a wacky exchange, Gulak eats a stacking powerbomb for 2. Cyclone Crash ends it and Gulak wins! Great recap video for the double title match ALMOST makes you think there's a chance the heels could win. Perfect slow-mo on the punch from Raw.

The show-opening video gets over an almost spin the wheel, make the deal stip runthrough on the show as a way to showcase all of the stips we'll see. That's a bit different, and a tad odd. Raven's caw returns for the closing shot. Shane and Drew come down to face the Graveyard Dogs to start the show off. Nice video package to start the match off, it's just placed weirldy in the show as the first 5+ minutes are all recaps. Everyone comes down until Taker walks down solo. Taker's got an old man top on - good. He should probably merge the Ministry Taker top into the leather pants look because just the black top looks a bit bland.

Match FINALLY starts at 7:18. Roman slugs Drew and Drew avoids a Samoan drop and then launches him with a belly to belly out of the corner. Shane tags in and lands some strikes in the corner before Roman rains down punches. Taker comes in and shoulder charges Shane and legdrops the arm for 2. Taker goes up for Old School, but Shane pulls him down. Best in the World versus The Best Pure Striker in the History of WWE! Taker slugs away in the corner and lands Old School. Drew tags in against Taker.

Taker and Drew exchange strikes. Drew hits a clothesline over the top, but Taker stands up! Apron legdrop from Taker! Roman comes in and slugs away at Drew leading to Taker and Shane going to the back. Drew tosses Roman around until Taker's back and we get a long arm and neck lock. Shane and Drew run into Taker's fist for a bit. Taker runs wild with the snake eyes, boot, and legdrop. Taker goes for a last ride through the announce table, but Elias jumps him with a guitar. Claymore on Roman into the timekeeper's pit.

Claymore on Taker! Announce table elbow to Taker! Taker is thrown into the ring AS A SITTING DUCK FOR SHANE according to Cole. Coast to Coast is setup Throat slash leads to the coast to coast! Shane goes for a cover, but TAKER SITS UP! Shane eats a chokeslam! Drew wants a claymore, but Roman intercepts with a spear! Roman tosses Shane in, but Taker drops him and eventually hits a tombstone to win it. Super-fun match. They need to stop trying to have Taker do things that require fast reflexes. He can still go a bit, but he can't do a lot of heavy lifting like a quick catch off of Roman throwing Shane into him. Cole talks about Taker PASSING THE TORCH to Roman at Mania. Oh fuck off. Taker bows and Cole talks about how we don't know how many matches he has left.

The Sarah Bot talks about hoping that we'll see Taker and Roman team up again and then yammers on to Seth and Becky. Revival comes down to defend the tag titles against the Usos. They're in white and blue gear that looks a bit odd. Revival's work is great, as is the Usos', but this basic WWE Formula tag match doesn't work RIGHT AFTER ONE. Scott awkwardly falls off the top back first into the ropes and then Jimmy lands a crossbody. Assalanche hits, but Wilder Ligerbombs Jimmy for 2. Scott lands a superplex into a Dash splash for 2.9. Shatter Machine hits and ends it! Wound up being a pretty good match.

Cesaro's revamped tracksuit makes the shorts look almost kinda work. Cesaro ducks the spin kick to start. METEORA off the second rope by Black. Long chinlock by Cesaro. Cesaro stomps the leg and Black crumples after an uppercut. Bicycle knee from Black to counter the springboard uppercut! Black gets a bodyscissor kneebar, but Cesaro turns it into a sharpshooter and then a crossface. Giant uppercut chain hits, but Cesaro falls to the Black Mass.

Truth yells at Alexa about Hornswoggle, and she says he's in a stall. Alexa gets Nikki one of her shirts all torn up and the Street Profits find it so CUTE. They say that they wouldn't share dinner, let alone a title. Street Profits have shockingly great Wacky Backstage Guy comedy timing - so they're kinda doomed. Nikki shows them by saying she and Alexa will become the FIRST-EVER SMACKDOWN WOMEN'S CO-CHAMPIONS. And for some reason, no one cares about titles.

Bayley gets a wacky crossface and kneebar after a few eons of nothing. Bayley hits a flying elbow and pins Nikki. This was a match - not too much to it. Braun vs. Lashley is up. Disappointed that Braun doesn't at least have a little Band-Aid on like Scott Steiner did after he was apparently murdered on the TNA PPV. Braun sends Lashley over the top. Lashley takes some crazy bumps into hte barricade for a guy in his '40s. Lots of walking and brawling. Lashley eats a suplex into a fake merch table. Lashley dives into the crowd and Braun catches him and tosses him around. Braun punches him and gets a "this is awesome" chant. Crazy stunt bump powerslam off the stands into a wacky setup leads to Braun getting up and winning.

Charly welcomes AJ and the Club, who are dickheads. New Day is out, while Heavy Machinery gets an inset promo. Rowan and Bryan are great prick heels here with Rowan landing a nice crossbody. OTIS DIVES OFF THE APRON. Smart guy. Bryan gets a diving headbutt and a LeBell lock on E. Bryan should just do a diving splash instead of the headbutt - it accomplishes 99% of the same thing and looks nearly the same. E eats some kicks and likes it. New Day gets the Midnight Hour and wins it.

Heyman grabs the mic from them and goes out and says he's Philly and he's extreme. Club jumps Ricochet, who eventually recovers with a running rana. Gorgeous diving lariat off the top. AJ lands a scoop into a scorpion deathdrop - almost like a revamp of his moonsault DDT, only it's easier to do as he ages. AJ goes for a brainbuster but eats one of his own before AJ recovers and just lands one of his own for 2. SUPER INVERTED STYLES CLASH HITS AND WINS IT! Thank God they had Ricochet do all that jobbing before...jobbing. New megastar made.

A Dolph-Owens recap airs before KO stuns him, pins him, and cuts another promo on Shane kissing his ass and going to hell. Joe says he'll ends Kofi's dream tonight. Joe starts off strong with a punch exchange, but gets sent down with a massive dropkick. Joe goes for a variety of finger snaps to get revenge on the "questionable gesture". A dueling we want Lesnar/no we don't chant hits before Kofi lands Trouble in Paradise and wins it. It's crazy that Kofi's the best-booking champion in WWE, but it's kinda cool. Still would prefer to have Joe as the champion, but he's fine as someone who's regularly in the mix too. I would ask why Lacey is dressed like a hooker from Red Dead Redemption, but I know the answer. She's got SETH written on her ass too.
Not really much going on until Becky hits the exploder on Lacey on some chairs. Tons of kendo stick shots on the heels, who then get their revenge 10 minutes later. Heels hit a double chokeslam on Seth, but he and Becky double suplex the heels on the ramp. Seth hits a high fly flow off the top to the floor through a table after Becky hits a second rope legdrop through a table. Corbin hits an end of days on Becky, so Seth beats the shit out of him with a kendo stick. Stomp hits and Seth waits for him to get up for a second one and a third ends it. BROCK COMES OUT!

Brock launches him into orbit with Germans! Brock cashes in! F5 hits and ends it - Brock's Universal Champion again!

AEW Fight for the Fallen

https://cdn.sescoops.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/fight-for-the-fallen-1-696x392.jpg

Daily's Place is shown and it looks absolutely stunning on TV. Peter Avalon comes down looking like a gloriously B-rate Rick Rude. The tron asks that you be quiet, and the fans are thankfully not obeying this edict. Alex Marvez is, but Excalibur doesn't care and Avalon shushes the fans. FINALLY, this Librarian stuff works! Sonny Kiss interrupts the promo and gets the Jaguars cheerleaders to do his intro. Well, this is how you make a star and with ONE INTRO, they've done it.

Avalon wants to shush him, but Kiss grabs the finger. Avalon shoves him AND SHUSHES HIM. Rana and a split armdrag hits for Kiss. Triple back handsrping slap in the corner! Twerking superkick leads to a split and Avalon nailing his own superkick. Axe kick and a dropsault leads to an uppercut and an exploder by Kiss. Twerksault gets 2! Distraction schoolboy gets 2 for Avalon. Avalon gets a Finlay roll, but misses a moonsault. Kiss kicks him and lands Hemme's Flying Firecrotch Guillotine to win it. This was a star-making match for Sonny Kiss - and his AEW solo debut went even better than it was in LU.

The Brotherhood talks about proceeds here go to gun violence victims. Britt Baker comes down with Riho to face Shoku Nakajima, with a wacky wolf and tail getup and Bea Priestley. Bea has her red Stardom belt while Shoku has her Tokyo Joshi belt. Shoku works with Britt, who looks gigantic next to her. Britt works her over with a long headscissor before she gets locked in a half crab and Britt gets to the rope. Nakajima goes to escape, but Britt grabs the tail and then Nakajima escapes and lands a big dropkick and makes a tag.

Baker exploders her and goes to tag the wrong partner before tagging her actual partner. Riho goes for a crossbody, but Bea slams her. Bea does the Shayna arm stomp and then gives a tag to her partner. Armbar codebreaker hits and the heels stomp away in the corner. Tags in and Nakajima lands a neckbreaker to Britt. Missile dropkick sorta hits and Britt tags out. Bea and Britt stiff the joshi girls and force tags!

Bea and Britt go at it with stiff forearms! Britt works her over in the corner, but eats a giant knee to the face for 2. Baker superkicks her and butterfly suplexes her for 2. Bea kicks Riho off the apron and Nakajima dropkicks Britt to the back and topes the faces. Bea lands a Regalplex for 2 Nakajima lands a senton as the closed captioning bleeds onto the screen for some reason. Riho lands a northern lights onto Nakajima for 2. Riho double stomps her for 2! Big Kaiji misses a senton off the top and Riho loses to a step-up rana being reversed into a cradle. Fantastic stuff!

Kip Sabian cuts a promo and says he doesn't feel like an underdog. He says that Page has special treatment and runs down a few reasons why - and he feels overlooked. Jim Ross comes down for his now-traditional pre-show intro to get the pop he always deserves. Alex Marvez gives him the title of the Dean from Gordon Solie. Well, in Florida, that's pretty fitting.

A Fyter Fest and DoN recap airs before the opening six man. MJF gives everyone a thumbs up and thumbs down. Sammy G and his cute bear avatar make it hard to hate him. Shawn Spears comes out with a Chairman/Perfect10n shirt. Darby Allin, Jimmy Havoc, and Joey Janela come out and all stand out as unique acts. It's a bit odd to have Janela go from main eventer to opener, but it shows that the card is ever-evolving and I don't mind that.

Janela works great with everyone in this. Havoc hits an acid rainmaker on MJF and Sammy hits a backstabber. Spears takes out Allin with a death valley driver - telling a tale that Spears beat a guy that took Cody to the limit, so it shows in his head that he has Cody's number. Private Party is shown in the crowd and Alex Jebailey is ejected. The fantastic Brandi-Allie hype video airs before Allie comes out in hot pink gear. Brandi is down and then AWESOME KONG RETURNS as Brandi's backup.

Brandi clubs her, but eats a senton for 2. Brandi eats a chop, but lands a modified PK for 2. Brandi stomps a mudhole in her before landing a kneeling superkick for 2. Allie lands a series of corner forearms before hitting the I'M ALLIE sliding D. Allie gets the Gulock and Brandi taps with the ref distracted by Kong. Brandi rakes the eyes and wins with the bionic spear. Awesome Kong sets up an implant buster before AJA KONG COMES DOWN! THEY STARE DOWN and that's going to rule...in a 10 minute match at All Out.

The Dark Order and their creepers are out to face Evans and Angelico and A Boy and His Dinostaur with Marko Stunt in a triple threat tag. Dark Order tears apart Jungle Boy, who is a fantastic babyface in peril. Uno splat swantons Jungle Boy for 2. Luchasaurus flips over Evans and lands a tail whip kick and then a Cro Cop kick before landing a standing moonsault! Dark Order hits the Fatality to win it and get a bye in the tourney.

Kip Sabian's out to face Adam Page. Page and Kip have fantastic chemistry together. Page gets a nice Finlay roll and a standing SSP for 2. Kip lands a PK and tons of shots to the face and splits his elbow open. Page gets a giant moonsault off the top onto the floor and sells the knee. PAGE POWERBOMBS HIM FROM THE RING TO THE RAMP! Giant neckbreaker off the top from Page only gets 2! They sell that the time limit could expire - which already puts this format over WWE's because you do want to see what happens. Page lands the Dead Eye and wins it with 53 seconds left!
A creeper unmasks as Jericho! Jericho slugs him and eyebrows him before landing a codebreaker and flipping everyone off. Initially, I thought that Jericho should absolutely be the first champion, but after this, they're setting up Page as the perfect first champ. They really can't go wrong either way. SCU's out with Scorp healing on Jacksonville as they all dress up in Jaguars gear. Lucha Bros are out and look so major league with the big intro.

Lucha Bros shine brightly with Daniels eating a superkick on the floor. Fenix goes for a dive on Daniels before he winds up hitting Pentagon and Daniels hits the Arabian moonsault. Aubrey sends Daniels out and then Kaz dives onto Fenix and Penta. Double wheelbarrow by SCU takes down Fenix while Marvez makes a good point about Kaz and Sky making their own chemistry, but in a long-winded way. They talk about The Great Leader Shah Kahn's design for this building - and it is fantastic. Monkey flip senton from the bros into SCU in the corner! Double stomp package piledriver ends it for the Lucha Bros! Lucha Bros beat them up with a custom black and gold ladder. Penta grabs a mic for a CERO MIEDO chant and gets it. He wants a ladder match with the Bucks at All Out!

Kenny Omega vs. CIMA is exactly what it should've been. CIMA looking strong at points, but Omega killing him to death with V triggers at all angles. CIMA lands a nasty meteora off the balcony into a table onto Omega! Omega buckle bombs him off a super meteora and snap dragons him down. Running V trigger hits for a crazy 2.9! Perfect Driver hits and CIMA is still on his knees! Crazy V trigger hits and CIMA avoids the Angel, and Kenny avoids the Schewein. CIMA lands a DDT off a running powerbomb attempt. CIMA slaps him, so Omega bicycle knees him. SCHWEIN ON THE APRON!

The fans chant YOU KILLED KENNY and he lands another meteora. CIMA drills him with nasty palm strikes and chops! CIMA counters a high kick with his own! V TRIGGER and a Jay driller! Another V trigger is countered into a cradle for 2.9! Kneeling V trigger and the One Winged Angel hits and wins it! This was damn near perfect and the best singles match I've ever seen CIMA in. This was better than Omega vs. Jericho at Double or Nothing too. An amazing Jericho video airs before he comes out.

He brags about having Hangman's blood on his hand. He says all he ever wanted was a thank you, and so he gets it from the fans and says he didn't want it from them. He calls Jacksonville Jackoffville and says he'll get his thank you by beating everyone in AEW. He says that the company was started by him, the TV deal starting in October is all due to him. Page comes out and beats up Jericho to get a bit of revenge. Jerry Lynn gets bumped trying to stop the carnage.

Bucks are out and Dustin's revamped more epic tron is great. I love the little echoes of the Goldust theme to start and he's added a black and red weight belt. Dustin points to the AEW logo on the tron in a perfect shot. Cody's out in black and red gear to match Dustin.

Cody and Nick work quickly to start things off. Matt eats a slew of uppercuts from both of the Brotherhood. Dustin spinebusters Matt hard. Cody X plexes Nick after a dragon screw on Matt. Matt avoids Din's Fire. Bucks get a double sharpshooter before the Brotherhood locks on a double figure four.

Things get risky as the Rhods hit a flip dive with Dustin and then Cody crossbodies on the floor. Nick is prepped for the ball kick, but Matt blind tags in and lands a superkick. Meltzer driver is met with a disaster knee and a disaster kick. Magic Killer-style Crossrhodes lands and gets 2.9! Double corner ball kick by the Brotherhood! Double director's cut spiral suplex/neckbreakers for 2. Bucks tease a double superkick, BUT HIT DROPDOWN UPPERCUTS so the Brotherhood HITS A DOUBLE SUPERKICK!

Cross Rhodes to Cody by Nick gets 2.9! Nick double dives onto Dustin and Cody eats a Metlzer driver and that ends it. Matt and Nick say that this match was all in the spirit of competition. The roster is out with Shah Kahn to present the $150,000 check with the execs and company as a whole donating. Kenny closes the show and says that tonight, we'll end it with a boing and not a bang.
