PAC vs. Kenny Omega STARTS THE SHOW OFF. HE IS A BASTARD, PAC is the best intro on Earth. An OSW WHAT BAR!? sign makes it on TV with Kenny's new gear. Omega gets a basement dropkick, but eats a big superkick. Kenny wants the OWA, but PAC tries a Brutalizer. Kenny avoids that and chucks him out for a flip dive. Kotaru crusher gets 2. PAC goes for a snap German, but Kenny counters with a snapdragon!
Big corkscrew DDT from PAC on the floor. Ross talks about how Omega is showing everyone that he's serious and isn't taking PAC lightly. Superplex into an avalanche brainbuster! Missile dropkick to the Best Bout Machine gets 2. PAC works the neck on a chinlock - he doesn't just put on a chinlock, he wrenches at the neck! PAC hits a cutter and a running boot to the neck. Forearm shivers aplenty. PAC gets a giant pump knee and the Tiger Driver '98 gets 2! PAC avoids an OWA and eats the Coyote's Wrath for 2.99!
CORNER-TRAPPED V-TRIGGER leads to a super OWA! PAC COUNTERS INTO A SUNSET BOMB! Kenny alley oops him and snapdragons him for 2.9! PAC hits him in the face with a chair and Kenny gets the first fall off a chairshot DQ. He hurts him and the Bucks aren't a fan of that - that could take Kenny out of their match or make him less than 100%, and they would want to beat him at his best. Nice character work with the Bucks wanting Kenny at 100% for the PPV. Black Arrow hits and PAC evens it up in theory - but wins definitively for his first fall.
10 minutes left and Kenny eats a giant falcon arrow off the apron from PAC. Doc Sampson checks on Kenny, but PAC knocks Kenny into the ref. PAC gets a table and Excalibur points out that the DQ was the first one in AEW and PAC used it to get the edge the rest of the match. SUPER SHOOTING STAR PRESS OFF THE TOP THROUGH A TABLE ON THE FLOOR!
Ref's back up and counts Kenny down. Kenny barely makes it in at 9.5! BLACK ARROW MEETS THE KNEES! V triggers and a nasty uranage get 2. OWA INTO A POISON RANA! Swinging DDT from PAC and the Brutalizer is on! Kenny gets the rope with 1:40 left. PAC dives into it again, but Kenny clasps the hands to prevent it. Inverted Brutalizer is on, but Kenny turns it into a cradle for 2. They go 1-1 with the Brutalizer locked on to close! WOW what a match!
PAC takes the ref out and the match is continuing under sudden death! V trigger. RIPCORD V TRIGGER hits! GIANT AUBREY chant! KAMIGOYE HITS BUT ONLY GET 2.9! OWA hits and ends it! Goddamn what a great match! Kenny wins 2-1 thanks to overtime. Excalibur points out that yes, Kenny one this one, but he needed overtime to do it. This is how you get a guy over in defeat - it's a master class in booking.
Tony interviews PAC about losing his, this biggest match. PAC gives him shit before Orange Cassidy comes out and PAC just drills him. Lexy Nair tries to interview Jericho, but THE BIG HURT SAYS NO. Inner Circle has a new theme and NWO-style intro for Sammy and PNP. They'll face the Jurassic Express in full.
Tons of dives by Jungle Boy and Marko! Ortiz mocks Luchasaurus by putting Sammy on his shoulders. Double team cannonball to Marko hits hard. Luchasaurus comes in and hits a fossilizer and a big chokeslam to Ortiz. TRIPLE CORNER SUPERKICK TO SAMMY! Jungle Boy hits a vertebreaker to Sammy with Luchasaurus kicking him down for 2.9. Miscue leads to Santana eating an Ortiz forearm, but Santana recovers for a double enzuiguri for 2. Sammy gets the loaded sock, but Darby prevents its usage and Sammy eats a snap rana from Jungle Boy for the win!
A tremendous recap video of the MJF-Cody saga airs. Best Friends are out to face the Butcher and the Blade with the Bunny. Blade slingshots Trent on the rope gut-first. Trent runs wild, but eats a spinebuster on the barricade by Blade. HIJINKS with Bunny's ears getting taken by Orange. Strong Zero ends it. Tony announces Cassidy vs. PAC and they say HE WILL TRY and then the fans chant PLEASE DON'T TRY. This ruled!
Yuka Sakazaki's out to her real theme! Excalibur explains it's an anime thing before Big Swole comes down. Shanna and her Goku gear are here! Yuka avoids all contact and does wacky poses until a cradle exchange. Yuka gets a flying mare into a basement 619. Swole's...whatever that ripcord elbow is supposed to be needs about 5,000 less steps. Shida KOs Swole and wins. This got really sloppy at points, but Shanna is great. AEW Unrestricted podcast is hyped up.
Evil Uno cuts a promo on Daniels finding out how obsolete SCU is. JR does a sitdown with the Bucks and Kenny/Hangman. Ross is so echoey here. I love these group sitdown interviews. TNA did them - but poorly. Kenny and Hangman (with beer) largely talk about lucking into this. Page says it's just an accident and that's all he hears on this. Ross asks why he's uncomfortable and Matt asks why he had to bring a drink. Nick says that they brought him into the Bullet Club and he was just a jobber in ROH until they saved his career. Page says his glass is empty and leaves. Ross says it's personal and it's for the gold. TREMENDOUS!
