AEW Dynamite 11-28-20 - PAC vs. The Blade!
The Equalizer is the pre-Dynamite movie. No New Jack as Denzel's best friend tho. Bucks face off with Top Flight to start the show off! We get a video package on them DMing the Bucks and getting a shot based off a video they put together. Darius avoids two superkicks by Nick and Daunte gets a launcing gamenguiri. Daunte backflip leapfrogs and avoids a superkick with a leg catch. BUCKLE BOMB TO ONE BROTHER ON ANOTHER! Corner double stomp in one corner to a corner backstabber! Step-up tornillo after Nick's sent into Matt on the apron. Funky flip into a rana gets 2! Assisted sliced bread gets 2 for Nick. CRUCIFIX OFF THE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK FOR 2.999! BTE Trigger to Daunte ends it. THIS RULED! TH2 jumps Top Flight! Good stuff - Top Flight couldn't beat THE GUYS, but can beat TH2 and still get showcased.
Inner Circle slays Vegas and Jericho and MJF get into another pissing contest and Jericho challenges him to 100 grain alcohol. Konnan gets the boys high in the limo and Hager and Wardlow beat up goons. AEW Boundless video package airs. Mox says it's been a crazy ride for 16 years, but now he's been champ and it's all due to his dad being a brick shithouse. Cargill Pillmanizes Brandi's left arm backstage. Deeb vs. Rosa is hyped up showing Deeb's retention on Full Gear while Rosa won last night on Dark. Rosa gets a nice shotgun knee for 2. Rosa kicks Britt's ass on the floor! We get John Silver and Anna Jay and he puts her over as being in the top five thanks to the Dark Order and she'll get a title shot next week against Shida.

It's F4W Board watchalong time! Steamboat and Douglas face Barry and Dustin for the titles, and RUDE FACES STING IN THE KING OF CABLE TOURNEY! Paul E faces Madusa and Johnny B faces Scotty Flamingo in a boxing match. We get the weigh ins with Madusa and Paul before they throw to BILL WATTS who talks about of course, Erik and we see Pillman play fake babyface with a bum wheel and then beats up Brad in the most 1992 sweater ever. IT'S ON! He takes his knee out with a crutch and Pillman chopblocks the knee to end it. TREMENDOUS.
We get a recap of Madusa's face turn and she beats the shit out of a guy in training. Madusa vs. PAUL E. DANGEROUSLY is getting a better build than anything we've seen all year. Heyman does pushups on a guy and the Alliance gives him an easy win. Heyman talks shit and the Alliance leaves him without him knowing and Heyman says Madusa will be sacrificed to the LORD AND MASTER OF MANHOOD, PAUL E DANGEROUSLY! Anderson and Eaton face Kensuke Sasaki and GODDAMMIT MOTHER OF FUCK ERIK WATTS!

KING OF CABLE TOURNEY RECAP! ANOTHER TOURNAMENT RECAP. CMLL would be proud. VADER BEATS TONY ATLAS! Vader and Harley talk about him holding more World titles than anyone alive or dead. Larry, Hiro, and Ole are the judges for Sting vs. Rude. Ole is Ole and looks pissed at the world and Rude cuts a promo on these STING-LOVING SLEAZEBAGS AND BOW TO YOUR KING OF CABLE!
Rude goes up for a gut buster and Sting...misses the gut. Nails it the second time around. Sting STALLS and Jesse should be talking about Larry should love that. Jesse notes that Sting is working on the ribs and Larry takes a note of that and definitely not a girl in the front row with daddy issues. Rude's overhand-style clubbing punches are great. Rude gets a gordbuster on the rope and he gets hung up and STING SOCCER KICKS HIM. This is something Fenix needs to steal ASAP. Rude gets a camel clutch, but misses a hip drop after hitting a few!
Rude locks on a bearhug! We get some stalling and Rude gets a few knees and wants the Rude Awakening, but the stinger splash hits and scorpion is locked on as time runs out. So underlying it, Rude's knees ACTUALLY WORKED at stalling the clock and preventing Sting's win. OLE IS THE DECIDING VOTE AND gives Sting the win! Rude jumps him and eats an atomic drop.
Steamboat and Shane are out and Shane's in a dreadful jacket. Now, I'm sure he's cutting a promo on getting his tailor's ass franchised for not CUTTING THE FUCKING JACKET! THE LIGHTS GO OUT because either It's WCW or someone hit a transformer. I love the joy that Jesse takes in knowing that SOMEONE will cheat. It keeps you glued to that one point if nothing else. Dustin and Shane tie-up in the corner while Ross talks about how these young men love to follow the rules. God, what pussies! I'm shocked they aren't making each other s'mores mid-ring. Shane and Steamboat win it and Barry's a heel! Dustin and Barry argue and BARRY KICKS HIM AND SLUGS HIM! DDT! We get a great promo from Ricky Steamboat and also Shane Douglas is there too.

AEW Dynamite 11-11-20 - THE LANDSCAPE CHANGES
The show starts off with a simple, classy Veterans Day graphic before a new full-on intro airs. Team Taz is out for Cage vs. Sydal before Taz knocks Darby and Cody and he puts over Cage as a man who's gonna take out a guy who's respected all over the world and who has wins over stars like Chris Jericho. Ex talks about Darby being in the stands with tacks on him so he doesn't get jumped.
Starks gets on the mic and says it's now about the TNT Title and the card is recapped and we'll get Kingston on commentary for the Fenix-Penta main event. Cody comes out and congratulates Darby before saying he doesn't want a rematch now - but may want one now. Jade Cargill comes in and says she's the total package and Cody said he was a giant killer - but there's nothing giant about him. This gets THE BEST reaction from a fan and then she tells him to knock his giant killer shit off. The giant is Shaq and Brandi says that she's a bitch and now she's her problem. She tells her to leave her stage and not return unless she calls for her, HEFFER!
Cage comes in and powerbombs Cody before Starks attacks and Darby comes in! THUMBTACK JACKET COFFIN DROP TO STARKS! TACK BODYBLOCK TO CAGE! Hobbs comes out to even the odds. Bunkhouse match is next! Page vs. Omega is hyped up and recapped. Marvez chats with Mox in an echo chamber. Mox says the belt represents everyone who's disenfranchised - and that's why he couldn't quit on Saturday. Mox says he beat Kenny once, but it takes someone special to beat him twice - and he is. He is the greatest wrestler in the world. MOX VS. OMEGA IS SET FOR DECEMBER 2 ON DYNAMITE!
WE GET DUSTIN IN STREET CLOTHES IN A BUNKHOUSE MATCH. All seems right with the world right now. Ex calls Butcher Bunkhouse Butch and Ross says Bunkhouse Butcher is a great name and Ex says you should make him in the AEW game. GUITAR SHOT TO QT! QT is sliced open AND IN A WHITE SHIRT TO BOOT. Allie struggles to handcuff Dustin. DUSTIN RUNS WILD after Bunny mocks QT.
Okay, this whole bunkhouse set reminds me of Spring Stampede. AEW needs something legally different, but close to it. Blade and QT go at it! QT Marshall hits a lariat! BULLDOG OFF THE STAGE! ELBOW OFF THE TOP OF A LADDER FROM QT TO BLADE FOR 2.9! Chain-whip cutter by QT! Blade gets bopped into Bunny, who falls through a table and Blade eats a chain shot and cutter to end it. THIS RULED! Butcher and Blade need to be like the Brass Knux tag champs are something - they are THE BEST at this tyle.
Matt says that Sammy has his respect now and his confidence took a shot at All Out, but he had to do what he had to in order to survive. HE IS ICONIC and don't squander what he gave you. Pseudo-heel Matt Hardy is great stuff. We get a goofy rock video for MJF joining the Inner Circle and Jericho's theme is sung with Peter Avalon being all goofy in the crowd. He calls out the OGs and Sammy isn't there. MJF says that he's been in the industry FIVE YEARS and his father gave him a small loan of a million dollars.

Good back and forth before Sky jumps up and Spears run-up suplexes him. They run up the steps on the floor and Sky hits a superman punch, but eats a superkick. Sky goes for a TKO and it gets countered into a sunset flip before Sky gets a sharpshooter. Spears loads up the glove and THE GOOD HAND ends it!
Sky gets the glove off him and IT'S EMPTY.
Dasha chats with Kenny, but he runs off before they could get him on-camera. Kenny chats with Marvez, who gets to him before he can leave. Kenny says the reality of things is he has to no longer be an afterthought and he needs to be ready to once again be in the top spot in pro wrestling. He says it's time for deja vu and hey, they've never had a regular match - so they're zero-zero IN A REAL WRESTLING MATCH, which makes sense since that match was unsanctioned!
Tay Conti vs. Red Velvet with Tay landing a few judo throws. 619 shotgun knees by Red and a stunner gets 2. Stereo Cro Cop kicks! Anna gives Tay a chair and she kicks it out. Spotlight kick...misses? Maybe and Tay gets a BTE-trigger pump kick Gory special knee ends it for Tay. Good-ish little match there. Jericho buries Marvez for only going to OLD VEGAS with Bill Apter. Sammy shows up and says he got an e-mail to go to the beach and MJF says it was to be here. MJF says he's got his ticket - and hey, it's on me! Tremendous stuff here.
Eddie is out and gets a giant "EDDIE" chant before he says he knows his name. He says that Mox made him say he quit and he has to live with that - BUT HE'LL NEVER STOP AND HE WILL BE WORLD'S CHAMPION! KICKSAPLENTY to start off Fenix-Penta! Standing tombstone lock by Penta! Penta rips at his OWN BROTHER'S MASK! Ex brings up that Eddie has brought out something he never thought possible out of them.
Run-up sole butt by Fenix! Penta tosses him to the floor but eats a gamenguri. DOUBLE JUMP RANA BY FENIX! Ex hypes up DVD RELEASES of their PPVs in 2020. FENIX RIPS UP ON PENTA'S MASK and now Eddie shows that he prefers Penta because he wants Fenix DQed for that but was okay with Penta doing it. TORNILLO TO THE FLOOR BY FENIX! DOUBLE JUMP SWANTON FOR 2 BY FENIX! Eddie talks about Tracy Smothers telling him to always hook the leg. PACKAGE PILEDRIVER ON THE APRON BY PENTA! ANOTHER ONE MID-RING ENDS IT. This was even better than the first match.
Eddie mocks the mark chants and says they just saw two of the best FIGHTING for competition. MY BEST FRIEND YOU DID IT YOU ARE THE BEST! He kicks Fenix to the floor. Wow. PAC IS BACK! PAC VS. KINGSTON ON THE MIC! I love that each guy is a character babyface in some way and going back, you've got PAC as the original ally of Penta and now he's got to go through the Fam in facing the Blade. What a show this was. Damn!

AEW Full Gear 2020 - Moxley vs. Kingston I Quit
The Buy In starts with MJF saying that he and Chris get under each other's skin and we get a recap of their history. Jericho puts over the dinner singing bit. Jericho says that MJF is good - but he's not as good as he thinks he is, but he'll get there. Arn puts AEW over as hope for the fans and Cody is the hardest worker in it and we see a montage of fans dressing like Darby Allin. Darby is put over as something of a cultural change and Cody says that Darby is getting this shot and now he's got to go backstage and walk backstage to over half the crew that he lost - again.
We get a music montage of Shida being awesome before Vickie's EXCUSE ME breaks in. Don Callis, as Impact EVP, says that Omega is the greatest wrestler in the world and is going to win. Nice recap of the Bucks sorta-turn and FTR saying that the Bucks did it to take attention away from them. Kingston says he wasn't a calm kid and the only thing that calmed him was wrestling tapes. Tony says that Eddie's best friend is his mother and that's his mentor and Eddie says love keeps him going.
Mox says that unlike King, he accepts responsibility for his shortcomings - while Eddie blames others. Mox says he's helped fix up a lot of Kingston's burned bridges. Mox says there's no greater pain than watching a friend change in front of your eyes. Framerate looks so odd on the Buy in. MJF cuts a promo with Alex and says that this is the biggest match of his career because in the Mox match, he was beaten AND THAT WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED with the Inner Circle by his side. MJF prevents Wardlow from talking and that's right out of the HHH-Batista playbook.
Serena's color scheme of orange skin and purple gear works shockingly well. Serena outworks her a bit, so Kay goes for more physicality. Draping neckbreaker and a Gedo clutch gets 2 for Deeb. Kay gets an awkward powerbomb stack for 2 and a spinebuster for 2. Kay avoids a package piledriver and Alabama slams her for 2. Serena goes off early for the Yokasuka cutter for 2. Serena watches her Tana and dragon screws her in the rope. Package pancake gets 2 due to the ropes. TEQUILA SUNRISE ends it! Konnan needs to throw his shoe in celebration of the Tequila Sunrise coming back. THUNDER ROSA COMES OUT and she wants the belt!

Don Callis is out to do commentary for this one and Ex says Kenny's the Cleaner due to having to blow in the NES carts to clean the contacts. Page is a FOCUSED YEEHAW MAN, which may be his greatest chyron ever. Tremendous fast action here and Kenny hits a rope dragon screw and ducks a Buckshot to hit the V TRIGGAAAAAA! The OWA ENDS IT!
OC faces John Silver in a fun match that really puts Silver over huge in defeat, as he TEARS THE POCKETS and lands a big spinning torture rack slam. ORANGE PUNCH and the Beach Break ends it. Cody gets a giant ALL IN intro for his match with Darby. Darby is out with half-body paint looking awesome and does some odd stuff like trying to choke Cody out with a sleeper using Cody's own arm. Drop-step stunner! COFFIN DROP HITS FLUSH and it only gets 2.9! Ross puts over that the weight gain helped Cody absorb that. I LOVE THAT. Cradle reversal ends it and DARBY ALLIN WINS IT! Cody does the Hogan-Warrior WM VI putting him over while putting himself over bit.
Taz tells Cody and Darby to take their bitch-asses to the back before Cage and Starks jump them. I love this - they're allies now through a common foe. Starks posts Arn and SPEARS CODY! DARBY TOSSED THROUGH THE FULL GEAR GEAR BY THE MACHINE! Cage tosses him on the FACE OF TNT car but WILL HOBBS saves him from an arm-breaking. Tremendous stuff. Shida and Nyla have a good-ish David vs. Goliath match before the knee hits and ends it for Shida. Vickie slaps Nyla and says she's pathetic. Bucks vs. FTR is up. FTR is out in slick white getups and Tully's in a black variant.
We get just a ton of double team stuff throughout here. A bit of the Hart Foundation and even the DIY finish from FTR. SHARPSHOOTER BY MATT! MARTY FINGER SNAP TO DAX AND THE BTE TRIGGER HITS! BUT CASH SAVES AT 2.99! ESCALARA PLANCHA and Matt grabs a chair before the ref warns him. Dax lets his guard down AND MATT USES IT FOR A MELTZER DRIVER, but Cash powerbombs Nick off the apron into a table. Dax turns the tombstone into the spike piledriver! IT GETS 2.9 BECAUSE MATT'S FOOT IS ON THE ROPE! They take the boot off and Dax gets the trailer hitch with Matt struggling. NICK HITS A 450 TO BREAK IT UP! 2.9! Cash gives Matt a TOO SWEET before turning it into a fuck you that pisses off Matt. KNEELING SUPERKICK TO MATT! SUPERKICK BY MATT ENDS IT AND THE BUCKS FINALLY WIN IT!
Matt brings his monster truck around and we get lots of brawling and of course, Roman candles. PNP comes in to help TWIST BY SAMMY! Private Party makes a save before HELMS IS HERE AND WE GET GANGREL! Gangrel says that Sammy was loyal to him, while Matt wasn't. JR wisely gets in ALSO KNOWN AS DAVID HEATH while Tony and Ex call him Gangrel, which isn't even a WWE thing as they had to license it from White Wolf. Helms turns into Gregory Helms and asks Sammy if their rivalry is cursed before the LAKE OF REINCARNATION is Helms' fate. Matt cuts off the goons in the warehouse area and Matt works the neck before doing the Edge-Foley spear through a pair of tables. Ref stops it due to blood and they stuff him in a trash can and we get a Hardy party with Reby.
Jake Roberts says that Lance has to be fed and he doesn't want food - HE WANTS PEOPLE. Jericho vs. MJF is up and we get some nice babyface Jericho with modern-day heel Jericho. MJF gets the ring, but Hager tosses the bat to Jericho and MJF plays Eddie and Aubrey argues with Chris. DISTRACTION SCHOOLBOY ENDS IT AND MJF JOINS THE INNER CIRCLE! Jericho welcomes them to the Inner Circle. AEW Revolution is on February 27. Dynamite is hyped up before we get Mox vs. Kingston. They bust each other up with a barb wire bat and Eddie's Misawa-colored gear works nicely for it. BELLY TO BELLY ON TACKS, but Mox won't quit. EDDIE GETS THE BULLDOG CHOKE! Mox escapes and gets the Minoru sleeper/Gotch piledriver! BULLDOG CHOKE TO EDDIE! KNEES TO THE HEAD AND THE LIFTING PARADIGM SHIFT! BULLDOG CHOKE WITH THE BARB WIRE and Mox tells him it's done and Bryce ends it - without Eddie seemingly saying I Quit. This was top-shelf stuff. I'm a bit heartbroken that Eddie didn't win it - but hell, just him GETTING TO THIS POINT is a victory in and of itself. Omega comes out and they point out that one year ago at Full Gear, they faced off - and in the future, they'll do it for the title.

AEW Dynamite 11-4-20 - Full Gear Go-Home Show
Dasha chats with Jericho in an AMAZING all red suit and pants before MJF interrupts him and Jericho says something's missing from MJF. Jericho says they all have killer instinct, but MJF doesn't - he's soft. Jericho gets his full intro and the fans sing "Judas". Jericho needs to be like the AEW Legends Champion on something because he's incredible. Ortiz and Santana face off with MJF and Wardlow here.
MJF mocks Sammy and bites Ortiz. SAMMY SUPERKICKS WARDLOW AND HE TAGS IN MJF WHO JUMPING KNEES MJF! Back and forth flip dives by Sammy! GTH BY SAMMY! They're doing a great job setting up Ortiz, Sammy, and Jericho as a babyface group post-MJF takeover of the Inner Circle. TOWER OF DOOM TO MJF with it being put over as Wardlow sending all of them down with a powerbomb. SPINNING F10 ON ORTIZ! SPRINGBOARD AXEHANDLE BY SAMMY! Matt throws a chair at Sammy in a Serpentico match. Salt of the Earth on Ortiz ends it.
Based on how snake-bitten the Hardy-Sammy feud has been, I assume that Sammy suffered a concussion off that chairshot or Matt sprained his wrist. MJF JUMPS JERICHO! Now this is great because hey, JERICHO WANTED A KILLER INSTINCT, but now they made this personal. We get a Kenny Omega interview with Tony with him saying that he's relocated to Jacksonville to train for this match and he thought hey, he could have some byes AS A SPORTSMAN with TK, but he chose to go on. Kenny says it wasn't obvious like folks thought because he thought Wardlow might go into it.
Miro vs. Trent is up and we get a video of Ex interviewing them with Trent saying Miro was his youngboy in FCW before Jericho says that it was BARETTA who was driven around by Miro. Miro insults TRENT'S MOM SUE and Trent hits a busaki knee. Chuckie beats up Kip Sabian and Jericho calls Penelope trash. Corner avalanche by Miro! Waterwheel takedown by Miro and then he just gets chucked into the post! Dark Order beats up OC on the floor. Bearhug and a big forearm by Miro leads to Trent forearming him back. Jericho says he can't believe it's been over a year since he's been champion or almost a year or whatever.
Well, this is the year for that. GERMAN BY TRENT! Game Over kick misses for a schoolboy for 2. Trent flip dive and a tornado DDT! BUSAIKU KNEE HITS HARD FOR 2! Game Over kick and the Game Over camel clutch ends it. I love how he makes the camel clutch look like a killer move. Chuckie makes a save! ORANGE DROP TO THE HEELS!
Ross chats with Page in a goddamn echo chamber. Ross calls him out on drinking...what looks like bourbon and says it's not his first one today. He should be nervous and Page says he is - he didn't become AEW Champion and everyone who doubted him...was right. Saturday will be the closest he's gotten since then. If he doesn't win it, all he's got is the whiskey. We get a video package that ALMOST salvages the Bucks-FTR match. They have Tully, Arn, and Ex in a Sweet and Sour shirt putting the match over and making the Bucks over as the character babyfaces.
Taz cuts a promo on TK in the role of Vince trying to get TWO MINUTES OF HIS TIME and now he's got a live mic. Taz says Cage is 10-1 and he really didn't lose - AND HE'S RANKED NUMBER 1 - WHO BETTA THAN CAGE TO GET A SHOT!? Starks has won 10 of his last 11 - HE'S NOT EVEN IN TEH TOP 5 WHAT KINDA HORSESHIT IS THIS!? Great stuff.
SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS! Matt Hardy's out with Private Party and gets jumped by Sammy before a PIP. Bucks are out as pure faces and Kassidy gets headscissor run-up into a gamenguri by Quen. STEREO SUICIDE DIVES TO THE BUCKS! Meltzer driver is avoided and they eat a flatliner/inverted DDT instead. I like that this match isn't just being used as enhancement for the Bucks since hey, they lost to these guys before - so keep them credible.
Outside-in stunner by Kassidy AND A FLIP DIVE! GIN AND JUICE HITS FOR 2.9! This is amazing - they're KEEPING PRIVATE PARTY strong here. This is fantastic - they're keeping Private Party strong, or if anything, making them stronger here in defeat than they were before the match. PK by Nick gets 2! The finish of the past TWO MATCHES plays out and it only gets 2! SUPERKICK PARTY! BTE TRIGGER ENDS IT! Fantastic stuff. This ruled! FTR JUMPS THEM! GOODNIGHT EXPRESS! They go to break the leg but PAGE IS OUT and then Kenny comes out to make sure he doesn't steal his spotlight. LOL @ Jericho calling Page a lush.
Eddie's out and tells Tony to HOLD THE MIC UP. Mox is in and Kingston says this isn't a game - he's going to take him out on the 7th on Saturday and he's gonna take the title and give the belt is CUZ OF THIS. THE REASON SHE DOESN'T HAVE A GRANDKID IS THIS! Goddamn is he ever captivating. Mox says that he'd rather have four quarters than a hundred pennies - that's a nice parable for life in having stronger bonds. HE BROKE HIS PROMISE TO KINGSTON'S MOTHER because he always wanted to look out for him and the loudest one in the room can be the weakest - and that's not Eddie! YOU MADE A PROMISE TO YOUR MOTHER THAT YOU CAN'T KEEP!
The PAC video isn't live - it's a pre-tape of him saying he's been isolated for seven months before. THEY wanted him to crumble, but with each months, he gets more pissed, stronger and obsessed. Dustin and QT's hair plugs swear vengeance on Butcher and Blade with the Bunny saying she maxed out his cards and then they kick the babyfaces' asses. "Vicious Vixens" ISN'T A NICKNAME FOR A SINGLE PERSON. Nyla destroys Red Velvet and chokeslams her off the mat. SPINNING DOCTOR BOMB! Then the PK ends it. Vickie buries Red Velvet and says Brandi is the CHIEF BULLSHIT OFFICER. Vickie insults Shida and says Nyla will break her bones - enjoy your last 3 days as champ before Nyla beats her up when Vickie says "Excuse Me" in Japanese according to Jericho.
We get a nice Page and Omega video ala the Bucks video with some odd director cut-ins to cue it up. Weird production issues on this show tonight. We get DON CALLIS IN A PROM SUIT FROM 1972 and "You Don't Know What You Got Til it's Gone" for Kenny and Page. Oh my God, this is incredible!
Penta vs. Fenix 2 is next week and the Natural Nightmares face Butcher/Blade too. Darby gets hit by a car to hype up the Cody match on PPV. Of course. Gunn Club's out with Cody, who has to be mindful that there's a PPV in 3 days before his intro. Shocked Billy isn't gassed from the leapfrog. Cutter by 10 for 2 on Billy. Cody tosses Silver into the crowd. AUSTIN GUNN HITS A CROSS RHODES and quickdraw hits and ends it! Hey, they tried to make a star-ish here and there are worse ways to do it. ORANGE PUNCH TO SILVER!
Cody says that Darby says that TNT doesn't want him as the face of the network - but that's false. TNT would love Darby as its champion, and he'd love it too. He was the one who floated his name out there and wrestled him himself to give him a shot in AEW. Cody putting himself over. And putting himself over more. And putting himself over more.
