On the eve of ALL IN, wrestling lost one of its greatest minds and workers in Terry Funk. The Elite are out for trios tag action against Juice and the Gunns. Beatdown before the bell Knox is out and the 3-10 to Nick! White vs. Omega warfare but TAKESHITA JUMPS OMEGA! Brawl and FTR makes a save before Takeshita avoids the OWA! MJF with Renee "I'm like the British Bulldog if he was Jewish and a good public speaker." He talks about having pressure for the ROH Tag Titles and then the main event. Renee airs MJF-Cole friction and he says it's new to say that he's got a genuine friend before AND THAT'S NOT A WORK BROTHER!
Mox vs. Fenix is up next! Mox is out as cool as could be and Fenix sends him out as Ex hypes up Stadium Stampede in Fight Forever. Fenix recoils off the rope with the hook kick! Frog splash gets 2! Hammer and anvil elbows lead to the Death Rider but Fenix cradles him for 2. Corner superkick by Fenix! AVALANCHE DEATH RIDER GETS 2.9! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!! RNC and Fenix passes out...NO HE KEEPS FIGHTING! Nope he's done, Gus. SANTANA AND ORTIZ RETURN AND TAKE OUT PENTA to seemingly join the BCC, or at least join up for Stadium Stampede! Then we get an Ex plug for the Draft Kings.
Kingston is backstage and upset at Renee for what her husband did. Sammy says some goofy stuff about Jericho and 2.0 and Callis. Jericho vs. Ospreay signing is up. Don says that the best thing for him was to have Ospreay in the Don Callis Family and end the career of the GOAT. Callis says that two years ago, Chris almost died in England and now he'll make sure of it! Ospreay talks about doing an indie the day before Wembley to get more money for his stepson and he's going to beat Jericho to make a lot of money. Jericho tells him that he cold-called him five years ago to avoid ending up like Dynamite Kid and he'd never be like Jericho!
Jericho calls his bigger than any WrestleMania and any Tokyo Dome and this match means more than anything else because he's coming from this at the top of the mountain top. Cole promo with Renee talking about how MJF helping him come back and get his confidence back. He's pissed at the recap and leaves. Nick Wayne and Darby against Swerve and AR Fox. Fox snaps up and jumping Germans Nick to start. Rolling attacks by the heels before Nick eats a shot and a 2.9. Darby prepped an apron attack on Swerve before eating an apron moonsault from Fox. Double yakuza kicks from the heels to Nick! Nick gets a cradle on Fox to win it!
Swerve tells him this was a test and he failed - HE CAN'T EVEN BEAT A KID. He's fired and Cage and his new Hogan '98 tan attack. Darby thanks AR Fox and he asks who they have and Christian and Luchasaurus come down! Christian says that HE UNDERSTANDS NICK WAYNE'S FATHER IS DEAD and he never heard of him, so he must not have been very good. FTR and Bucks sitdown and they're saving each other to make the other team healthy for the match. Bucks play heel here with them talking about how FTR got their jobs due to them. "Those are the guys that the Young Bucks named on their Youtube show!"
Skye vs. Ruby Soho is up and Ruby avoids the deadly night shade and high kicks her on the apron. Crossbody off the top gets 2 and Ruby avoids Skyfall. Cradles aplenty lead to a kneeling superkick and Skyfall for 2! No Fear and Destination Unknown hit. Not sure how you hit such a bad-looking Sister Abigail but Mike Knox's version was far better. Roddy bitches about MJF and Cole for a bit and they tease a turn for Cole.
House of Black video on Billy Gunn - a father of immorality and a man who will rest in pain. Acclaimed storm down IN BLACK! They call out the House of Black and want a fight! HOB jumps them and we get a big DADDY ASS chant. DADDY ASS RETURNS WHEN BRODY KING THREATENS TO USE THE CHAIN! Daddy Ass doesn't turn and gets the mic - they've got his attention now! Billy says that he was content to retire UNTIL YOU HURT ONE OF MY KIDS! You tried to tear down my legacy! Billy Gunn says that at ALL IN IT'S THE HOB AGAINST THE ACCLAIMED AND well not fun-loving Daddy Ass can't make the trip- BUT BAD ASS BILLY GUNN IS BACK!
Aussie Open vs. Hardys is up and I don't expect much, but I do expect this to be a showcase match for Aussie Open the likes of which they haven't had yet on AEW TV against a legendary name act. Not much to speak of before an ad break with Fletcher doing the Jeff dance. Okay, this is the MAIN EVENT and wow does it not feel like it and yet this show has flown by. Davis blocks Jeff's tag to Matt and everyone runs into Jeff's punches before Matt tags in and runs wild with corner bonks up and down the ropes. Side Effect gets 2. Matt sets up a superplex>splash combo for 2.9! Double slam takes out Jeff and Aussie Opens retains going into ALL IN.
Aussie Open cuts a great promo after the match saying there will be NO DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE, NO KANGAROO KICK AND THEY WILL STILL BE THE ROH TAG CHAMPIONS! MJF and Cole come out to preview that match with a staredown and a brawl breaks out! Double mudhole stomp by AO and they want a double clothesline but Davis ducks out! MJF wants the kangaroo kick and Davis blocks it! Cole sets up a superkick, but Fletcher moves and the fans demand that they hug it out! MJF puts the belt up high! No hug - but a shoulderbutt from MJF! He puts the ring on and hugs it out!
