AEW Dynamite 11-13-19

Full Gear is in the rear-view mirror and tonight, SCU faces Jeircho and Sammy for the tag titles. A chronological PPV recap airs and looks great - but no moments are given a chance to breathe. No Moxley-Omega recap, which makes sense since it was both unsanctioned and it's on TNT, but it just feels odd. The card is recapped. A DARK ORDER MATCH!? And on trash night. Darn! Moxley vs. Omega is recapped in photo form due to the injury to Omega being played up. Omega isn't cleared, but Mox is - which pisses Omega off more. Nakazawa is mid-ring to get revenge for his buddy Omega - I like it. BABYFACES HAVE FRIENDS and it leads to more matches. Mox avoids a lariat and Shifts him down to win.

Mox says Kenny will never be the same, but he respects him. He says that he doesn't think anyone in the back will ever face him in a match like that again. Okay. Marko's piggy-back bird flip to Grayson was all the stars. JR gets some great lines in - including saying that Grayson is mourning the loss of his first name. Marko gets a cannonball senton off a 619 position dropkick before getting bullied a lot. Marko reverses a tilt a whirl into a flatliner, but Jungle Boy is knocked off the apron. Jack's in and hits a tope! Jungle Boy lands a double dive, but they absorb it and pump knee him. Nightfall backbreaker hits and looks harder for Grayson than the opponent. Fatality hits and that's it - DARK ORDER WINS!

This was good - the act is far better with the change in getup and usage of Grayson as the glue for the team. Uno wants a cheer for Marko and says he shows promise - but he'd do better in the Dark Order. Jungle Boy refuses on his behalf and they eat a beating. The crowd wants Luchasaurus and he is back! Luchasaurus with a Kevin Nash special - stand around and have everyone run into him. Tail Whip takes out 3 at once and he chokeslams a goon onto the others on the floor. Grayson eats a chokeslam and a standing moonsault! Group hug! Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy are ungodly over. Shawn Spears is out for a match against Peter Avalon and Darby Allin.

Darby Allin is the fucking man! He eats a beating from Spears until Joey Janela comes down and brawls with Spears to the back. Standing diamond dust to Avalon leads to the coffin drop and the win. This was smartly-booked - the idea was to give Darby a showcase win and further the Spears-Janela feud, and they did. Everyone but Avalon looked better here - good stuff. Darby accepts Jon Moxley's challenge! After a break, this match is made for next week. Awesome!

Nyla wins a quick squash with a beast bomb and we get a recap of the beating Dustin took and find out he'll be back in a few weeks. A Dynamite Dozen battle royale is named for next week for the Dynamite Dozen ring the next week.  So AEW has its own version of the Battle Bowl ring for...some reason. Tony talks with Allie about the rankings and Allie is at number four in the rankings and she says she's had fun on Dark, but she wants to be on Dynamite. Kong and Evil Brandi appear! Backfist and she takes some of Allie's hair.

Jericho comes out with his wacky blue jacket. He demands a thank you and gets one from the fans, who he tells to shut up since they don't matter. Cody's full wacky intro hits and it's MJF. Ha! MJF says that Cody couldn't give a shit about of the people here. He says Cody tried to make him into a puppet. He gets a bullshit chant and says that the only thing that was bullshit was Cody trying to put him under his thumb. He's better than Cody and Cody knows it. MJF says that he's heard that Jericho wants him in the Inner Circle and they go back and forth on who started this whole thing. #crisscrossapplesauce #innercirclejerk Jericho says that MJF has a bit of him in him - so it's almost like his parents were turned on by him on WCW SN beating Juvi. They hug and call Cody the biggest jackass in AEW before Cody comes down and botches the powerslam badly, which they play off as due to him being not cleared. Second one hits and WARDLOW debuts! He hits a standing Landslide and hangs him with a tie.

Pac's out to face Page in their AEW rubber match. Pac runs wild with kicks and lands a moonsault to the floor. Pac lands a missile dropkick and another to the back for 2. "Hangman's getting all of Pac right in the face!" Page gets a big moonsault for a break. Forearm chain leads to a discus forearm after a superkick counter from Page. Buckshot hits for 2.9! Pac struggles to get up, but hits 2 pump kicks and some Bryan-ish curb stomps! Black Arrow and the Brutalizer wins it! Pac keeps it on forever.

Bucks and PNP brawl backstage. Santana dives on the pile off a forklift! Nick gets thrown into a bathroom where Orange Cassidy stands doing nothing. Okay, that was a great visual gag that makes no sense. They brawl throughout the break. A blackjack gets used and they beat down Nick's leg as it's trapped in a lighting rig. Double powerbomb through the platform. Cutler makes a save and PNP says they'll leave...and then WE LIED and they beat him up too. Private Party makes a save - tying everything into the match they won with the Bucks. Fantastic! PNP vs. Private Party is up for next week and Exalibur talks about Matt Travis' passing and Private Party is fighting for him.

CD is out with SCU again. Them being babyfaces it a bit odd, but CD just does their live show closing deal to send folks happening saying they hate the town, but not the people. Jericho's out with Hager. Jericho gets turned all around by Kaz leading to a great bit when Sammy tags in. "I GOT THIS!" (eats an armdrag) - wrestling is great. Sammy comes back and dropkicks Kaz down into the corner. Excalibur says that if they go overtime, they'll have the finish on Youtube. Sammy misses an SSP, but doesn't tag Jericho in and instead opts to get the glory. Sky tags in and lands a calf kick. Spinebuster into a rollthrough neckbreaker for 2. Outside-in slingshot DDT gets 2 for Sky. Hager prevents SCULater and the ref somehow doesn't look to his right. JR calls Hager Swagger and then says he's Hager with no Swagger. Sky hits a TKO for 2, but eats a blind dive into a codebreaker for 2.9. Sky gets a small package cradle and pins Jericho - so they got his first pinfall loss out of the way here. Good. Sky came off great and Jericho isn't hurt a lick. Jericho beats up a railing and the post with a chair. Great stuff!
