AEW Dynamite 10-4-23 - Dynamite Fourth Anniversary Show

All right - been dealing with Xbox-related internet issues, but I got it sorted out 9 minutes in with Fenix doing a run-up armdrag to the floor! Fenix runs up and slips to eat a superkick and backstabber. A Nick corner bulldog countered by Fenix into a gamenguri! Nick hits a superkick after they double-down after a superkick and Fenix hits a rolling snap rana for 2.9!

SLINGSHOT SPIKE X-FACTOR BY NICK GETS 2.9! LET'S GO NICK/LET'S GO FENIX! Hand-held high kick by Nick! POISON RANA BY NICK into a hoist-up by Fenix into THEN A DESTROYER OFF THE ROPES BY NICK! PK KNEE BY NICK GETS 2.9! ROPERUN PK BY FENIX! Frog splash gets 2.9! Fenix driver gets countered into a victory roll that gets countered into a deep cradle and Fenix wins it! GOOD GOD!

We get a Cole-Strong video that is beyond echoey. WHO THE FUCK IS GRIFF GARRISON is mid-ring and gets murdered by a returning Wardlow. Wardlow is not in the wedgie singlet - good But the shorter singlet shows off the gut a bit. Ref stoppage after five powerbombs. Backstage, Don Callis says that Sammy isn't medically cleared and he has eager, able-bodied male athletes who want to show off and Ospreay has chosen in Kyle Fletcher. Ex talks about the audio issues with the Cole segment from TBS so they re-air the video. Okay, Roddy yelling ADDAAAAMMMMMM is great. HE GETS HIM A BIKE SCOOTER! AND THEY WANT HIM TO MOVE FURNITURE!

Butcher, Blade and Sabian against Acclaimed is up. Break and Bowens tags in and runs wild on everyone. Acclaimed win it and we get Mox vs. Fenix 3 next week for the title. THE FINAL PORTRAIT OF A STAR features Toni saying she's not hurt by age - SHE'S TIMELESSS! Danielson vs. ZSJ recap leads to one for Swerve vs. Hangman getting a recap too. Swerve vs. Danielson is set up for next week to see who faces Christian for the TNT Title!

BC Gold is out with a new BANG BANG GANG tron. They say that MJF can't breathe with the Switchblade and MJF calls Juice a taint. Things just kind of go on and on and on. MJF says he wants a Stockston street fight with them thank God. Jay White jumps him with a Bladerunner. He challenges him to Full Gear after stealing the gold.

Fletcher is out with Takeshita to face Omega and Jericho. Nice chop battle between Jericho and Fletcher, who benefits a lot from these high-profile matches. Killer brainbuster by Fletcher to Omega - that would be a killer singles match. Shocking I know, but Omega and Fletcher are fantastic together. I wouldn't be against Fletcher winning the International Title and facing Omega down the road. "THE KID SCREWED ME!" from Callis - okay that's a shame. HOBBS JUMPS THE FACES! The Book of Hobbs keeps the Biblical references alive for the Family.  They brawl forever, tie him up to the ropes for a Jesus chairshot ala Dreamer-Raven and Jericho saves as much as he can. DON WANTS THE CHAIRSHOT!

Excalibur, who retired due to concerns about concussions, talks about hoping to never see a chairshot to the head again. Renee meets with Max and then Caster and the Acclaimed come in and he's angry at them...for...maybe tweets or something. Okay that was weird. Max calls Cole but he gets voicemail. A killer Joe video airs with him saying he's a champion and knows when to be hungry and when to be satisfied.

Toni vs. Skye Blue was great in DC and better now with this Timeless act. Toni promises TITTY SLAPS before the ad break and chops her outside. Storm Zero into a victory roll gets 2. Superkick by Blue gets 2. She calls for her closeup and hits a hip attack and Storm Zero before being all wacky rolling out.

Tony is mid-ring and Adam Copeland comes out with his EDGERATEDR Twitter handle because hey, WWE wants the gimmick name in the Twitter handle and by golly, that takes time to change. He says there's a whole fresh lineup of matches for Adam Copeland and he doesn't like talking about himself in the first person - he won't do that again but wants Mox, Omega, Miro, Hobbs, White, Robinson,

Adam says that he loves Jay and he's the reason he came here. I love Adam bringing up Jay loving Sting so much that he wanted his haircut. Adam talks about Beth's grandparents not knowing English because they're Polish - and they loved Sting. He is here because he loves Jay and it's time. For the first time in over 20 years, it's time for them to team up. I like that in-canon, Adam has the shittiest timing possible for this request because Christian IS A SINGLES CHAMPION. They hug and Jay tells him to go fuck himself. Nick Wayne's out in a super '90s sweater and this all ruled.
