WWE is now selling Brock's shirt again and WWE has a Jimmy John's sponsorship for SNME...Drew vs. Orton starts things off after Jesse hypes up the Goldberg match and Goldberg working at 58...jeez it makes Jesse feel even older. Orton avoids a diving lariat and lands a powerslam. Claymore gets 2 for Drew and Orton hits an RKO after Drew bickers with Jelly Roll. SLIDING CLAYMORE TO MR. ROLL! Jade and Naomi brawl to hype up the NHB match on Evolution tomorrow. Aldis has a troubleshooting official for their match - THE NEW REFEREE IS BIANCA BELAIR! And her dress!
Jimmy Uso is out to face Solo for the US Title. Jimmy dive hits and the spinning Solo gets 1. BIG JIM eats a post shot but lands an apron German. Solo wins thanks to Talla and JACOB IS BACK AND KILLS DUDES! Cole talks about the flooding in Texas hurting Goldberg's friends and some of Cole's too and he also lost his father in law 3 weeks ago. Yeesh. JELLY chats with Orton and says he's underestimated. Seth vs. Knight is up and Knight bonks him around the announce table. Lot of nothing and Knight wins after Seth hurts his knee off the lionsault...but he eats the BFT and Knight wins it so it feels like Seth is cashing in, which is what I'd do after a Goldberg win.
Gunther vs. Goldberg is up with LIL NATICH! DOUG DILLENGER BANGS ON THE DOOR! Goldberg was 90% intro and...can almost do that and walks like Chuck before his last Tito fight. If they were planning a cash-in, I'd have Breakker do it and beat Goldberg with the spear in Atlanta and say Heyman had power of attorney for the case. Goldberg shoves him down and shoulderblocks him. and a MASSIVE CHOP gets no reaction. Goldberg is like Nash in that he's sticking to the middle of the ring and GUNTHER NEARLY EATS A SPEAR but Gunther escapes. We're getting more of a regular match than I expected - especially with how Goldberg has looked. Barricade spear misses for an ad break.
Gunther works the knee, but gets overconfident with a kick and eats the chokeslam. Backdrop out of the Gunther powerbomb and GUNTHER AVOIDS THE SPEAR AND ROBINSON EATS IT! Gunther takes the knee brace off of Goldberg and smacks Gage around before A SPEAR FROM BILL! JACKHAMMER but he can't cover and a new ref gets in for 2.5! RNC IS LOCKED ON BY GUNTHER! AND HE ESCAPES WITH HIS TITLE and hey, if you weren't going to a cash-in, this was as perfect a match and finish as you could ask for. Wonky ad break after it.
