WWE Extreme Rules 2020 - THE HORROR SHOW

Tonight, Drew faces Dolph in whatever stip Dolph choose and Rey vs. Seth ends when A MAN HAS HIS EYE PULLED OUT. We get a goofy horror movie-style video package for the show. New Day vs. Cesaro and SHIN is the opener. Poetry in Motion stinger splash from Kofi leads to an overhead belly to belly by E. ENDLESS table blocking spots. Why is Kofi doing a trust fall off the top to the floor on an opener for a show with no fans? Kofi goes for a super rana to the floor through a table stack BUT CESARO BLOCKS IT and SHIN helps him superbomb him through the tables to the floor. INCREDIBLE finish that is absolutely wasted on this show. Honestly, do that on FOX so it's at least seen by people.

Alexa, Asuka, and Kairi teach Nikki English. Nikki runs down to face Bayley for the SD title. So Nikki just did a run-up tornado DDT on the floor...why? She just shoved Bayley into the ring and she never sold the move anyway. Nikki gets a crossface, and Bayley gets a superplex. Draping knee to Nikki gets 2. Draping twist and shout off the apron by Nikki. Sasha distracts the ref and Bayley hits Nikki's knee and hits her headlock driver for the win.

Bray channels Marc Gullen and buries the karaoke segment and Braun. US Title match is up...and it's not happening due to an injury, or the rona. Okay, so MVP should win the title via forfeit, right? Eye for an eye is up. The best part about this match is it spares us from a Seth promo. Seth's out with his eye puller-outer. Rey jumps the heel and attacks, but eats a slingblade. FALCON ARROW ON THE APRON. Jesus. Now we've got a toolbox and some chairs. Rey avoids a kendo stick in the post and gets his comeback and a tornado DDT after avoiding a Stomp. Rey grinds a kendo stick into the right eye, which Tom calls the left. Rey curb stomps him on the floor. Rey gouges the eye into the steps and Rey eats a superkick. Rey eats a stomp on the floor and then Seth just does a less grizzly version of what he did on free TV - outside of Seth puking. This is all just stupid on every level.

Heel Bayley cuts a babyface promo on growing up loving Rey but she hopes he gets better so he can see BAYLEY DOS STRAPS! Sasha hypes up becoming TWO BELTS BANKS tonight. Kairi using her umbrella as an air guitar alongside Asuka's theme is great - not it's no BAYLEY DANCING TO SASHA'S THEME IN SHADES! Sasha avoids an armdrag and gets a crossface. Sasha locks her in a bunch of random holds. Sasha gets another crossface and a frog splash. Shotgun knees to the corner by Sasha. Flip German off the top by Asuka. Nice matwork leads to an Asuka lock and a tap - but the ref is distracted. How is Bayley coming in with THREE BELTS TO ATTACK ASUKA not a DQ? Asuka goes to mist Sasha, but the ref eats it and Bayley knocks out Asuka with a belt and Bayley takes the ref shirt and counts the win for Sasha. "RING THE FREAKIN' BELL!" They went through the visual of having Sasha win...kinda, but everyone but Bayley looked weaker here.

We get a vision update on Rey and he MIGHT RETAIN HIS VISION. Hopefully they use Byron's jacket as an eye test for him. Drew vs. Dolph is made as EXTREME RULES for Dolph only, and Drew getting DQed or counted out gives Dolph the win. Drew just coming out with the belt and no flashy vest/jacket makes him look like 10% the star he should look like. Dolph bumps all over for Drew, as he should. Dolph kicks him in the balls in a great-looking shot. Dolph eats a nasty overhead belly to belly into the announce table. Fair play to Dolph for even being able to take these big bumps at 40. Dolph hits a famouser, but Drew claymores him to end it. This match went on for ages.

Swamp battle with Bray waiting in his rocking chair. Braun brawls and then takes his shirt off and wanders around to get hit in the back with a shovel. Bray chains him up and we get goofy flashbacks. Bray yammers on for ages and Braun tells him he'll send him to Hell. Braun gets snake bitten and then beats up a guy by a fire and sets him on fire and Braun laughs. A female voice calls out for Braun. IT'S ALEXA!

Bray uses Braun's lust for her as a vision of the future or something and then Bray gets chokeslammed into a boat. The boat leaves and comes back with no Bray. They brawl in dirty water and Braun boots him into swamp water.  We get a show-closing graphic, but Bray mandible claws him into the water. THE FIEND rises from the now-red water and screams LET ME IN so I guess Bray won. That was easily the best match Braun has had all year - and I liked it more than the Cena match, so it's Bray's best match to date. Still not anything I would ever watch again.
