The pre-show features Fantasma's group against Breezango and Lorcan/Burch. Nice chops from Dango and Oney while Mendoza dives on the pile. German to Wilde out of the corner by Burch. Booker puts over Cameron Grimes in the ladder match, and that's his pick. McAfee-Cole hype video is top-tier. It's a shame they didn't get Dam Lambert for this - not that Pat needs it, but he'd have been tremendous as a hype man for it. Takeover history video package airs
Kai-Io is hyped up nicely. Balor vs. Thatcher starts us off. Beth just recapping the second chance matches melted my brain. Finn's out with his too cute for school into while Thatcher just rolls to a knock-off of Dan Severn's theme to kick ass. Thatcher works the arm for a bit and gets a Kimura and torments the arm before Finn gets an abdominal stretch. Finn gets a banana split cradle off that for 2 and a ground ab stretch. TREMENDOUS ANKLE LOCK, but the coup de grace and the Bloody Sunday ends it.
Keith Lee and Mia arrive earlier. NA Title ladder match is up. Golden Role Models celebrate before SUMMERSLAM TOMORROW!? Jesus was SD a shitty go-home show. Velveteen's out as Zack from DOA.
Rainmaker DDT to Priest. They force Grimes into a split and Johnny leaps into a rana on Bronson, but almost eats a powerbomb. Priest goes up but Dream stops him AND THEN Priest goes for a somersault springboard nothing but eats a Gargano superkick to the taint. Grimes hits the fallaway moonsault on the floor and then Reed hits a deadman dive. Johnny's down and Candace helps him up to stop Grimes and then beats him up. Johnny hits him in the head with a ladder with her on his shoulders. Johnny goes up but Reed stops him and goes up. Candace hops on him and Bronson SPLASHES ONTO JOHNNY WITH HER ON HIS SHOULDERS. Okay, that ruled.
Grimes climbs but Dream stops him and goes for a superkick, but Grimes moves and he pulls the ladder down on his leg. Ladder bridge is formed and Grimes is chopped onto that. Dream goes for it but poses and smacks the belt, so Priest bell claps him. CAVE IN HITS! Johnny sunset bombs Grimes into the ladder hard. Dream Driver on the apron to Johnny onto Priest on a ladder bridge on the apron. Dream goes up and Reed knocks him off into the pit. Grimes knocks Reed down and goes up, but Johnny hits him with the belt, BUT PRIEST THROTTLES HIM and wins it.
Cole vs. McAfee is up and it's weird to have Cole as a babyface. Pat says THIS WILL END QUICKLY WITH THE BIGGEST LEG IN THE HISTORY OF LEGS! They tie-up and Pat breaks it up to flex. They brawl on the floor and Pat dives on a pile. Can I pay double to not have to hear Beth on commentary? Pat gets a chinlock and pulls some hair - which offends Beth. Cole puts Pat's top over his face and hockey punches him before a teep kick. "I'm stunned! BUT I'M NOT SURPRISED!"
"Well are you stunned are you not surprised!? Okay, Corey was great there. DVD on the knee gets 2 for Cole. LAST SHOT GETS 2. Really now? Cole goes up and gets crotched for a superplex setup.
Cole tosses him off and he lands mid-ring off a flip and then hops up top and hits a superplex. JAYSUS that ruled. Steps punt but Cole misses and Pat hits the steps. FIGURE FOUR BAYBAY! Pat gets the ropes and then Cole boots him in the corner and eats a ballshot and a lariat gets a flip sell. PUNT HITS FOR 2. Well between HBK and this, punts are back to being dead in WWE. Pat dives for a double sledge but eats a superkick. Cole talks shit and goes up top and hits the Panama Sunrise to end it. This was good - not LT-Biglow-level, but good.
Drew shows up to hype up his Summerslam match. Women's title match is up. Dakota's theme is a low-key banger. Io Shirai is VERY ANGRY...but first has to do her full intro and pose. WE GET WWE SUPERCARD STATS for some reason. Io bullies her in the corner and then Dakota dominates her in the corner before Raquel is used as a distraction so Io gets posted. Dakota works the arm and stomps her. Lots more armwork. 619 by Io leads to the springboard dropkick.
Rollthrough into a double stomp by Io! Dakota avoids a corner German and schoolboys her into the corner. Io goes for the moonsault, but Kai stops her. Alberto double stomp by Io! Dakota avoids a tiger driver and lands a headbutt and kairopracter. Dakota gets an armbar, but Io gets to the rope with her foot. Corner Detonation kick by Dakota!

crossface by Io! KAMIGOYE BY IO! DOUBLE JUMP MOONSAULT TO THE HEELS ON

Gonzales. Someone yells JUST MAKE CONTACT and Raquel backs off. Ciampa's return on Wednesday is hyped up. Cesaro is shown in the crowd with a mask.
Priest loads up his Hummer and parties in his gear with ladies in a hot tub after blowing off an interview with McKenzie...so was he going to leave or just loading up his SUV for the party? Either way, Brandi Lauren is stacked and stole the show here. Tremendous Kross-Lee video focuses on the hourglass. Kross' path of rage is shown. The badass serial killer with the interpretive dance intro is a bit too much of a disconnect. He gets a golf clap for it.
They fight on the floor with forearms and plexiglass smashes. Kross gets him in a London Dungeon and elbows his arm. Kross PRIDE stomps him on the mat before a sorta-hammerlock thing. Keith just whoops him. Kross's cartoon act would've been so great if he was selling for the blind granny in the back row. They fight over a doomsday Saito, but Keith avoids it. Kross gets a rope-to-rope lariat for 2. Krossjacket choke is on and he goes down for 2 but FIRES UP. BIG BEAR CHOP!
Lee goes up, but Kross stops him and kicks the leg. SUPER DOOMSDAY SAITO HITS for 3? Yeah 3. That was a weird ending. The replay showed it was a full 3, but it seemed like a short one in real-time. WACKY POSES set them up as the main villains for a live action Mortal Kombat. Shao Kahn and Sindel are prepared to take over Earthrealm.
